ReplyDeleteStella we Igbo's are funny, it happened to me on the last edition of single and mingle. Met this awesome dude here, but we had to quickly pull out cos I had to bring it up. I had to ask him his family's position on the matter and I was right to ask. He said his family would never accept. Thank God I asked, that was our last conversation. It is partly the reason why I seldom date Igbo men.

Do you know how many osus marry and live here in Abuja? My best friend in school married one and they are doing fine here in Abuja not outside the country o. My sister's neighbour in Enugu married and osu girl and they left their state to leave and work in Enugu. The only issue is that your mother might refuse to come for omugwo but no one will hunt you. They can only cut ties with you.

Thought this Osu caste system was abolished sometimes ago? Guess some people still discriminate,same blood flow through our viens, there's no one with Osu written on his blood, same God created us,no one is leaving this world alive,so what's the fuss/ brouhaha about? Some people really need proper orientation to understand life better.

ReplyDeleteJust last month my hubby's colleague died in that same okija town. They found a suicide note and sniper beside the man, claiming he died out of financial frustration. Only for the note to be shown to his colleagues and they all revealed that is not his handwriting, even his bags were packed as he was meant to travel that same day to meet his family. All I'm saying is an apparent suicide doesn't mean they committed suicide. Proper investigation should be carried out. Now look at those bodies. If they really drank sniper believe me they wouldn't die in that loved up position. They will die with their writhling with abdominal pain and coiled up on different locations. Also, who drinks sniper and covers the bottle. Even someone with OCD won't be that careful.
