Big Brother Naija lockdown season 5 recorded over 900 million votes from viewers making it the highest number of votes the reality show has recorded since its inception.
While giving the opening speech during the prize presentation show, Mr. John Ugbe, Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria disclosed that season 5 recorded the highest number of votes ......
He further stated that not all of the votes came from the usual SMS voting method which cost 30 naira per SMS, some of the votes were from the website, GOTV and DSTV application platforms.
This season also recorded the highest prize a winner of the show has ever received which is valid at 85 million naira.
The painful thing is that these millions cannot say "this is the good thing I learnt from this show"

They are mostly online votes which are free. Considering the fact that all the housemates were up for eviction got 6 weeks , it's understandable compared to previous seasons that 3/4/5 housemates are usually up for eviction.

DeleteD organizers really messed up by using d housemates for d earlier evictions & ds kept Neo , Vee & a few others without fans on d show for long, without making money from them. Even when they were remaining seven, I expected them to throw in d housemates to d viewers to do d eviction, yet they went for that rubbish style that edged out Ozo, other wise, d viewers would have voted out Neo &Vee , while Ozo who had an army of fans stays, thereby bringing in more money for them. There really was no tensed competition among d last five . They really lost some money through Neo & Vee.
