    Rhapsody Today!!

    It's A Matter Of Choice!!
    Romans 14:17.

    Excerpts!!

"If a man chooses to allow the disapointments of others or the damning effects of life's unfavourable condition stop him, then he'd most likely live a frustrated life"

"Such a person would often vent his anger and frustration on others"

"Choose to live your life in the light of His truth and make up your mind that your joy and fulfilment in life would be independent of circumstances"

"Choose to take pleasure in every day and enjoy the moments of your life"

    Today's Confession!!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the life of blessings, full of joy and glory. I walk in divine health, supernatural insight and great amplitude of mind, prosperity and wealth. Thank you for your abundant grace and wisdom to rule my world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  6. Good morning everyone, please, I have 2 questions. If your man's name is for example Oluwafemi Ogunsola, can you decide to answer his first name as yours after marriage? Is it valid? Can our kids also carry on with the name? Does he have to do any change of name to make it valid?
The second one is if you get admission in 2000 and graduate in 2005,are you a class of 2000 or a class of 2005? Thanks for your responses.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Class of 2005.. My set is 07' the year I left secondary school..

If ogunsola is his surname, then you start answering to his surname after your marriage.

All you need to do is a court affidavit and a newspaper publication for change of name.

      So it would be;

      Anonymous Female Ogunsola

      Delete
    2. 2005. It is the graduation year you use not the year of admission. Remember many get admitted but don't graduate eventually.

    3. Class of 2005. Your graduation year.

  7. OVERCOMING REJECTION

‘You are precious and honoured in my sight.’
    Isaiah 43:4 NIVUK

Jesus experienced rejection: ‘He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him’ (John 1:11 NKJV). But He didn’t sit around and lick His wounds; He moved on to where people gladly received Him. And He told His disciples, ‘Whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet’ (Matthew 10:14 NKJV). Repeated rejection tends to validate the fear that we are inadequate. This is particularly so when it comes to the opinions of those we place value on. But the irony in operating out of the fear of rejection is that it ultimately results in the very rejection you were trying to avoid. When people realise you hold yourself in low regard, they deal with you accordingly. You teach people how to value you by how much you value yourself. If you never express a preference, a boundary, or any other limitation on how others interact with you, they will assume you have none, and behave towards you in that manner.

Notice, even though Jesus was rejected He never responded in a way that encouraged continued rejection. He didn’t stay where He was tolerated; He went to where He was celebrated. In other words, He went to where people recognised and received His person, His purpose, and His power. He had God’s full acceptance; therefore, He did not fear man’s rejection. And you have God’s full acceptance too. ‘You are precious and honoured in my sight, and…I love you.’ The first step to overcoming rejection is to keep God’s opinion of you in your mind at all times.
    Word For Today.

  8. When you look back over your life, you can see the faithfulness of God: times where He made a way where you didn’t see a way. You’ve made mistakes that should have held you back, you should be struggling, but God, in His mercy, covered you. He brought you out, and now you’re blessed and fulfilling your purpose. You didn’t get to where you are by yourself. It wasn’t just good breaks; it wasn’t just talent. It was the hand of God. He’s been working behind the scenes in your life, pushing back forces of darkness, lining up the breaks you need. Joel Osteen.

  28. Aunty she called from behind. I looked back and saw a small girl with a baby. She pleaded l help her carry the baby while she adjust her cloth. That was my first time of seeing her in my local church of less than 30 adults. I carried the baby. The baby was weightless. Deem eyes and gave a very faint cry. After service, I went to meet her. Who are you and why is your baby this tiny. My name is Chi. I am 18years old., from Enugu state. I got pregnant for a guy. Told him about the pregnancy, he gave me money and insisted l abort it. Out of fear. I collected the money and ran to my uncles house here Abuja in March before the lockdown. Few months later his wife discovered l was pregnant and gave me transport after the lockdown to travel back . I was afraid to go back to my parents. I started hanging around the market till someone saw me and took me to a Church. The church rented a house for me and another stranded lady. A week later. I delivered. They paid my delivery fee and bought things for me and my baby. I have not seen any of the members since l left the hospital. Maybe they got tired and left us. The baby is tiny because l am not producing enough breast milk due to lack of food. Who brought you to this church?. She pointed at one of our member. According to her. She saw her wondering with an innocent Child last night. She had pity on her. Gave her food and asked her to follow her to church this morning. We came late because l was looking for where to get hot water to bath my baby. Aunty am tired she cried out!. I could not hold my tears. I was thrown out in a marriage l invested so much due to infertility. Here is an innocent child looking so tiny and malnourished due to lack of food. This God. Who am l to question you. My heart has been bleeding since my encounter with that girl and her innocent baby. God will punish Corona. According that BV. This life no balance at all.

Please mother's of teen children especially girls. Learn to forgive despite what she did. Use the rod and the stick. Imagine this girl prefers to die in a strand land than to go to her parents. Empty world!!

Stella about the breastfeeding? I think different foods have different levels/intensity of permeability into breastmilk, so the baby might not be getting that much spice as you think, otherwise some pikin go just dey choke anyhow.

  37. Throw back to the year 2009. The year things changed in my community. I can still remember vividly. We had this very far Farm.. Going there with bike or bicycle would take one 2/3hrs. Imagine how long it would take if You're going there on foot. That was how far it was. But my people cared less. Cos, the land was overly fertile. My grandpa being the hardworking man he was, would spend the whole day. You get to see the dividends of his labour when the time for harvesting comes. His yam barn was one of the biggest in the village, but surprisingly, most of the yams went to the poor widows In the community. That was how generous he was. We were a small community and things went well for us. No hassles, no troubles. Untill IT came. Bandits. Cruel ones. They'd come to the farm, beat up the owner and steal his/her food. It wasn't too bad until they started coming in droves. Gradually, they graduated from stealing to beating, maiming or in some cases raping the women.. it doesn't matter if you were married. It was as bad as that. It continued for months. We became afraid. Men stopped going to the farm with their wives and children. They stopped going with their bicycles and bikes. They went in twos, threes or more. Infact, we all lived in fear.. then one very painful incident happened. That was what broke the camel's back. It was too much of a bitter pill to swallow. A farmer that went to the farm with his wife, and 3kids. I don't know if they thought the bandits went on a holiday. Or they felt they could just do their business quickly and go home before word got out that they were in the farm. But whatever their reasons were, things didn't go as planned.......

    To be continued....
