I wasn't given a receipt when I paid, I asked for a receipt and I was told that the receipt would be sent to my email but I did not receive any receipt.

Didn't receive a receipt. But I made sure to go there and made the man I paid to check through his files for the date I paid for. Took us a while but we finally found I had been registered for that day.
DeletePaid 31k (should be 21k officially but be ready for stress) and then 2k for bachelorhood and spinsterhood certificate.

Something terrible happened to me on the 23d of July. I sent an office assistant to go deposit some money into my boss's account (N150k), my personal account (N20k) & a package from Jumia office, and guess what, he ELOPED WITH EVERYTHING! This wouldn't be my first time of sending him on such errand as he's been with us since 2017.
That incidence left me broken, sad & shattered. I cannot fully describe the pain & sadness that i'm still going through. The look of disappointment on my boss's face still hunts me.
The good part is that i'm not gonna lose my job over this, rather, i've been asked to pay back the money (which i have started doing already). All efforts by my colleagues to track him down proved abortive as he moved out of his residence the day he stole the money, stopped picking our calls and sometimes switches off his phone for hours unending.
Now, to my small dilemma. The criminal put up a post on Facebook saying he lost his father on Sallah day (31st July). I'm not on FB so a colleague sent me a screenshot of the post. I sincerely do not believe that crap, but, if it's true then i'll say i'm secretly happy he's going through pain for what he did to me. Does this make me a bad person?

ReplyDeleteMy fiance is in the same situation as the man owing rent up there but the only difference is that he didn't loose his job but his salary was slashed and his rent has expired since may. The caretaker is already on our neck and all effort to get a loan is abortive as he is even repaying one loan presently but will finish paying by October. I just rounded up Nysc and i'm yet to get a job. All our hope is on God alone.
