ReplyDeleteI lost my friend!!!!
She was sick but was supposed to be getting better, we talk and chat well.... I was meant to go see her though but things kept coming up and I kept on postponing it!!! I wanted to go Sunday before last but something came up again as usual and I told her on Monday that I'll see her this week!!
After posting on Sp yesterday, decided to check few WhatsApp stats before sleeping back and I saw RIP.... I ran maaaaaad!! My friend was gone, dead, she died yesterday morning!!! My baby left me, I failed her........ I crieeeeeeeeeeeed, I feel so inadequate, why didn't I try harder?? Why didn't I see her?? Why didn't she text me when she felt worse?? Why?? God!!!!
I've never lost a CLOSE friend before and I don't know how to process this.... Everytime I think about it, I cry!!! My friend went through alot in her life, had so many issues(not health wise)! She mixed up with bad people in school, had gotten married and even given birth in her dream, finished school and served before me but no Job, always acting crazy but I loved her and wanted to be there for her, I wish I had done better!!!!
She was Muslim so I don't think they understood the whole spiritual issue she was having.My friend struggled and at the last minute, I wasn't there, she died without me seeing her!
Do I even have the right to mourn her? Do I??? It's well!!!!

Prior to 2015, he sold recharge cards in his village, Daura. He had never had any formal exposure all his life. Out of the blues, he was made the PPS to the president. In other climes, such an influential position is reserved for experienced technocrats because you need a lot of knowledge and exposure to function. But in the case of the zoo, everything is always upended. Imagine having such an ignorant youth helping to steer a man like Buhari. The young man is utterly clueless, so all he does is to help his pocket. He is alleged to have pilfered close to- wait for it- close to a TRILLION naira!!! Yes, one Trillion naira. It sounds crazy right? Sounds like a lie too. You really don't know what's happening in your zoo. There's no one to be accounted to. The president is perpetually "unaware".
When I advise you to run away from here, certain rodents crawl out to protest foolishly. Do you know why they don't want you to go? They don't want to be in misery alone. They want company. Many of them can't survive outside this enclave. They tell you "why is Ceaser himself not leaving". So you believe in your dumb mind that I have no plans, huh?
Nigeria is desperately in a mess. I am not here to scare you. Prayers will not help. What have all the prayers done so far? Things keep getting worse. The clerics heading the prayers are part of the filth. Run away from here and give your kids a better future than the one you were given. Do not fail them. They will not forgive you.

ReplyDeletePlease, join me in thanking our God, I was supposed to join a family friend on Sunday from Calabar to Lagos (that's if they had told my dad the exact day they were leaving for Lagos). On Sunday afternoon, my dad had the urge to call them again and find out when they'd be back to Lagos so I can join them, since school won't be reopening anytime soon, that was when he learnt from their mom that they were involved in an accident on their way to Lagos, that in fact they were admitted in the hospital. I'm grateful to God for them, there was no death, just minor brusies.
