NDDC ContractGATE Involving Senators -Your View

Niger Delta Minister Godswill Akpabio has mentioned the Senators involved in the NDDC Contract scam and it is shocking to note that the lawmakers have been busy amassing wealth for themselves instead of working....

There are denials back and forth but the Minister blew the whistle with 'receipts' intact.

What is your view on this? There are people calling for the sack of the Minister but i also think the Lawmakers should all resign at this point....

Lets talk....

  1. Stella that is how Nigeria works and it is a big problem, my hubby is a contractor and if you don’t have a senators backing you can’t get any contract, when contracts are awarded your must pay the senators a certain percentage, before you are even paid, you must settle everyone in that ministry starting from the gateman to the secretary to the DG, if not your file will not move and your money will be stuck there forever, the senators will deny because there companies are not involved so there is no link to them. Projects have to be done and contractors have to eat too, it’s a messy Nigeria walahi

    2. You have said it all. The senators knows it will be difficult for Akpabio to proof and so Akpabio knows they are guilty he was once a senator, 2 time governor that knows the game. They are all rogues, and I nor sure Akpabio will be sack because some senator might back him too. Listening to news this days is discouraging.

  5. When I saw the amount it got me so angry. The Niger Delta region would have been so developed. So many people driven projects could have been carried out. Akpabio and those who are fingered in the misappropriation should be brought to book.

  6. All of them and many more are guilty. Even ones not fingered in this NDDC scam steal from other ministries. All they do in those committees and sub committees they hustle to belong is just to conceive ideas to loot.

  7. Nobody resigns in this country. So asking the house of assembly members involved to resign is a tall order. The president's body language also tells a story of aloofness and I don't care attitude. His sole concern is to finish his second term and retire to Daura.

    Lovelace.

  8. And the speaker of the house tried to hide the facts by not reading out the entire letter sent to the house.

There have been massive corruption in NDDC all these years, yet the house carries out over-sight function, this fradulent act is made open because the sharing formular of the looted money isn't favorable to the lawmakers
