Man Reads His Suicide Note And Ends His Life After He Was Allegedly Falsely Accused Of Harassment..

A young Nigerian man recently committed suicide after he was wrongly accused of s3xual harassment and added to a “list of rapists” on Twitter.

A video has also emerged of the young man named Izuchukwu Madubueze reading his suicide note before shooting himself dead after the accusation.

The Florida-based man ended his own life after being accused of rape. This was disclosed by one of his friends, Nnamdi Anekwe-Chive, a security strategist and consultant, who said Izu took his life because he was wrongly accused.

“I just received a very troubling phone call in respect of Izu Mmadubueze. He is a relation of mine, who lived alone in Florida, USA. It has been confirmed that Izu from Umueze Anam, Anambra State, apparently committed suicide owing to false accusations of rape by this lady and her friends,” he told Newsroom.

In June, a Twitter user (@nanichianese) had published names of men whom she claimed were sexual abusers. She also claimed she was asked to compile the list for “safety purpose. I have heard some folks ask for a compounded list of abusers to avoid for safety purposes. I will add to this thread as I find out more names,” she wrote.

Izu, who was said to have been on the list, had reached out to the lady to find out whom his accuser was so he could clear his name. The curator of the list was, however, said to have refused to disclose the victim’s identity, claiming the victim would prefer to remain anonymous. After further prodding, she disclosed the harassment was not physical, but she won’t be revealing any further details.

Izu then penned a note asking her to extend his sincere apology to the victim for any form of harassment he could have put her through “though he was still shocked at the accusation.”

Izu would later take his life. His last tweet on July 17, read: “Oh and if you’re reading this, I’m dead lol.”The curator of the said list has since deactivated her account amid reports that she had made advances at Izu in the past but was rejected.

In the video he made addressing the harassment allegations before ending his life, he said, "In the last couple of weeks, I have seen the tweets. I have heard from several people, I've also seen some people who I expected a lot more from subtweeting me and I wasn't ever given a fair chance to clear my name or explain my side of the story or verify whether any of the allegations against me were true or not.

    1. So what are we going to do to balance out false accusers and justice for true victims? Pls if you are raped, no need, dedicate what's left of your life to send your assailant to his grave. Not to jail o, grave. Just zip your mouth if your are unable to castrate him during the act. Take your precious time and find a way to kill him.

Because with stories like this, the credibility of any accuser/victim is worth a dead rat. You are on your own!

  2. Mehnn Stella its a very sad Story.

It just shows that everyone has a battle he/she's fighting, we should be kind with our words and actions, you never know what you would say or do that would just be the breaking point for that person.

Now the lady has deactivated her account and gone into hiding.

    Rest in peace Izu.

  4. Which one is sexual harassment not being physical again 🤨🤨. False rape accusers need to be called to book, it is really painful when one is falsely accused.

The man is probably innocent and couldn't take the shame

  5. Just like that! Was he looking for opportunity to kill himself? That he was accused and never given chance to clear his name should not be an excuse to take his own life. Even the abuse was not physical. Not typing rip to this one.

  8. I hate false accusation... Parents train your children well. Teach them to learn how to accept rejection. This applies to both men and women.

Many Nigerian men and women don't know how to accept and handle rejection.

I read another story of how a female top managing director almost ruined the life of one of her colleagues all because the guy rejected her.

Don't go calling people out on social media just because you're bittered and vindictive.

    1. Your conclusion that 'many Nigerian men and women don't know how to.....; is wrong. Where did you get that data. It is not a locality or environmental thing so why localise it. It is a general problem with humans and has nothing to do with being a Nigerian abeg.

Laws are either absent, silent or not enforceable on a lot of issues in Nigeria. That's why a lot of abuse go unreported/under-reported and unpunished.

A lot of abuse go on in the corporate world in Nigeria, especially verbal abuse that can drive one into depression. These bosses will not try this in US or Europe.

It's just that you don't try such rubbish with me. Time and again, I've put my supervisors in their place right from my entry level.

There is nobody I've worked with that can oppress or abuse me. I put you in your place like I did to the head of my department yesterday.

    1. 15:05 you are right. The accuser should be traced and made to face the full weight of the Law if she wrongly accused Izu.

Accusation of Sexual harassment stigmatizes and haunts a person for life in the Western world.
Even when found innocent some warped minds still see the person as a sexual predator.

I wish the young man did not take his life.✝️ 🙏

This is such a heart wrenching news💔💔😢😢.
May the girl's brothers be wrongfully accused of rape too, Amen.
Of course she'd be apprehended and made to spend the rest of her rotten life in jail, (There she'd meet monsters that'd thoroughly mess her up) Amen.

I know someone that was wrongly accused of sexual harassment in his office just because of she saw him as a competition.

They just sacked him without hearing from him, the owner of the company refused to hear his side of the story. It's a multinational company and the girl is an Indian. Rumors were going round that she was dating a top member of the company so she took advantage of that.

Those that knew it was a false accusation couldn't talk because of losin their jobs also.
Infact they threathened some people to just shut up.

He's still depressed about the whole thing and it's been over two years this happened. And he has not been able to get another job.

Sometimes I see somethings he writes down and I get really scared. I don't know what to do anymore. We can't afford a therapist for him right now.
Sometimes I feel that job was a curse to us because every thing happened so fast.

This is a man that just wants to work and take care of his family but they took everything from him. I have been praying to God to vindicate him since then but nothing has happened.
Sometimes we just sit and cry because of the pains is just too much to bear.

    Yes he's my husband

Both of you should keep crying to God morning, noon and night and tell him you will not let go until a very positive change comes. As for that she devil leave her to God. She will be punished beyond your expectations.

Joseph was just a teenager who dealt with a lot of unfair life issues - lost his mom, sold into slavery by his brothers - yet he overcame by unwavering faith in God Almighty.

Joseph did not even have the comfort of his loving father through his 13 years of fiery trials and humiliation in Egypt.

Please, you and your husband should hold firmly unto God. Claim the victory of Christ daily and thank him. 💞🤗🤗

  26. Hmmm, see as people have changed tone. Meanwhile, days back, every body was busy beating up dbanj, talking about this and that as if they were present with them both in the room. Like I said before, like I will always say, I will never join the bandwagon and castigate anybody of any accusations, until thorough investigation and the person is found guilty. I know well how false accusations can ruin one's life and name and family, and drive one to suicide. I hope this teaches people lessons about not jumping to conclusions, and not joining the bandwagon to troll people.... But that's wishful thinking.

  28. I made a comment on sunday about a documentary that I saw on false rape allegations but Stella sat on it. It completely charters the victim of such accusation. This guy clearly had struggles and battled with it for 3 years but it was the false accusation that pushed him to the edge and made him kill himself.

Dear ladies, if he breaks up with you and you feel sad don't say he raped you. If he turned you down, don't lie against him. If you hooked up willingly but you wanted more while he wanted to chop and clean mouth, he didn't rape you. If you drunkenly gave consent it is not rape. If you consented then woke up the next day and saw that he's ugly, poor etc that is still not rape.

Let all false accusers be prosecuted and sentenced to the same penalty of rapists better still, let the punishment be more severe because not only are they destroying someone else's life, they are doing a great injustice to actual rape victims.

    1. Eka this accusation is very different. I have been raped before so no way i will ever support rapist. Of every 100 rape accusations, 10 may probably be false. But doesnt take away from d fact Rape victims hardly even come out. If u see d guy dat raped me you will be very surprised. This guy has a good job, christian family and was weeks to wedding when he raped me. If i had come out its people like you that will still doubt my story. That i am the guys pained ex that wants to spoil his marriage. This man toasted me for years but i never agreed for him. He just had to trick me and rape me two weeks to his wedding. Coming out to say rape is a hard thing, the stigma everything.
