Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state has made a full recovery from COVID 19 despite his complicated health status.....

Press Statement

To the glory of God, repeat COVID-19 test conducted by Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on samples submitted by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on Thursday, 2nd July, 2020, returned negative result on Friday, 3rd July, 2020.


Governor Ikpeazu is therefore deemed free of the virus according to the extant guidelines of NCDC and the World Health Organization (WHO).

  6. I thought he said Abia state is in the bible and that coronavirus will not come to Abia State.
    Instead of him to prepare his people and educate them,he was using the bible for the gullible Abians.
    Thank God for him because some weren't as lucky as him.

  9. hopefully, they all learn to take the healthcare sector seriously. he couldnt even stay at the isolation he put up for the ordinary Abian. he knows he doesnt even have the caliber of doctors he can trust to take care of him in his state. pay doctors, no. employ more, no. health infrastructure, nonexistent. i pray he uses this second chance seriously cos this was a close call for him
