  2. I read the explosion was caused by a gas cyclinder that fell and exploded. After it was refilled, the woman tried to put it in a keke, it fell and exploded.

    1. The explosion started from a shop used in refilling gas cylinders. Nine shops were razed in the explosion and a number of cars were burnt. The accident happened after a 62-year-old woman, who runs a cooking gas shop and her 32-year-old daughter were called back to their shop to attend to a “regular customer” who came to fill a gas cylinder. The woman returned and successfully attended to the customer. However, the sad incident happened when the customer tried putting the gas cylinder into a waiting tricycle, it fell and exploded. What a calamity

    2. My dear, no need of being scared. Didn't you hear of kerosene explosion in those days as well? Na God dey protect person biko.

Gas is more convenient, faster, cleaner and cheaper than kerosene now.

We grew up like you because mum had the same phobia. The tabletop gas cooker Dad bought for her is still in their wardrobe.

When she travelled for omugwo, I broke the jinx and installed a gas cooker at home, after all she was using gas at my sister's place.

Now we all are married and are comfortable with it, and can't stand stoves anymore.

Just maintain all safety precautions that's all.
