But if everybody had it, then it wouldn't be outstanding success. How does a caterpillar develop into a butterfly? By overcoming the cocoon. Would it be easier to stay in the comfort of the cocoon? Some days the struggle is so great that the caterpillar probably thinks so. But the price of freedom, flight and discovery, is struggle, development and breakthrough. There is no other way.
Why did Jesus send his disciples into the storm on the Sea of Galilee? To teach them to trust him in every situation of life. Soon he'd be leaving them, so he used different experiences to equip them for the future. What are you trying to overcome today? Instead of complaining about it, or asking God to take it away, try to see it as preparation for the thing he has called you to do. Read these Scriptures. 'Blessed is the man who endures temptation' (James 1:12 NKJV). 'To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life' (Revelation 2:7 NKJV). 'Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven' (Matthew 5:10 NKJV). 'Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good' (Romans 12:21 NKJV). 'Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil' (Ephesians 6:11 NKJV).

I visited the blog,went straight to WNB and as the ashhhh that I am, I loved it😝😝😝
This was in July 2016...finished the stories, chatted Ike(my colleague) and complained that the stories were not coming again ooo🤷♀️He laughed at me and directed me again to Chronicles,told me to check other posts and just have fun😁The first day I commented with my plastic ID,Ike chatted me and said “is that your Nkay?” 😂😂and said he knew I wouldn’t resist the urge to not comment like him🤣
Now my direct boss at the office calls me NkayDimoko😂 and I answer with my full chest🤣whenever he’s in those his annoying moods and want to punish me,I’ll be warned not to open the blog during office hours or get a query🤦♀️😁

He will give you courage, strength and patience to at least stay grounded until you find what you’re truly looking for.
The thing is talking to God doesn’t fix everything overnight, but it gives you the tools and the resources you need to overcome the confusion, overcome the hardships and stay hopeful that better things are coming your way.
Maybe we’re always looking for a quick fix, but quick fixes don’t last, they break easily. Healing takes time. Finding what’s really right for you is a long and tumultuous journey. Miracles take time but they happen and only God can make them happen.
And when you learn how to talk to God, solitude becomes sweeter and somehow you feel safer because you know that there’s nothing you can’t handle. Everything will fall into place. Everything will be okay.

I'm typing with this sleek, black, brand new smartphone, oh yeah, it's mine! Yeah right!
I didn't think it possible, not for at least two more months. I was looking at August ending or September.
But Stella said NO! You're getting it this month.
So, in the early hours of 22nd day of July 2020, the year of our Lord, I got an a cash alert that shook my 4k Itel phone. I'm sure the phone must have been confused.
Guys, the amount was more than I was earlier told. I mean.... I was overwhelmed. I got the phone yesterday and have been gushing about it to everyone I love.
Brethren, can you take a moment to help me appreciate Stella? Because I can't thank her enough.

I always knew Nigeria was corrupt but I didn't know how bad until my encounter last month. I said it was going to be the first thing I write about once I got back to the blog. It might not really be that much of a big deal to some of you but it was to me.
ReplyDeleteI lost my phone on a Sunday and the next day I set out to do what anybody would do: retrieve my lines. I needed my valid ID CARD, sim pack or court affidavit and passport, I was told. I was also advised to go to the telecommunications head office at Maitama instead of wasting time at the over crowded one in my area. But I could get the affidavit anywhere.
I live in Nasarawa state, so I quickly got the affidavit at Maraba high court at the fee of 1k. It was fine by me. I got to Maitama before 9am, waited my turn and by 12pm I had my lines. But when I got home and tested the SIM cards on my neighbor's phone, one was invalid, the more important of the two. I rushed back to the office and the CC representative told me the welcome back was reversed abi rejected because my face did not really show on my ID card. This was true. But then it was the only valid ID I had. So the only solution was to go get another court affidavit for identification.
It was almost 3pm, the security lady told me there was a High Court around but it was late. I should do it the next day.
The next day, I left home very early. I thought of stopping at Maraba High Court for the affidavit but they open by 8. Shebi there's High Court in Maitama, heart of Abuja? I didn't have time to waste mbok.
We spent so much time as usual at Nyanya checkpoint, ( oh I went with my daughter), but still made it to town on time. By few minutes past eight, I was at the mighty High Court in Maitama.
This is my story.
At the gate I was stopped by a female security who enquired what I came to do.
" Go and come back tomorrow. Number don finish”. She flatly told me.
I begged her to let me at least go in and sort it out, it was just past 8am for goodness sake but she refused. I explained my situation but for where? As I made to go to the other gate for cars to talk to the other guards, she whispered to me.
" If you have money to settle, I can call someone to do it for you.”
"How much are we talking about?"
"2500 "
"And how much is the normal price?"
"700".

I was boiling with anger. I approach the other guards at the second gate, the lady there was nice and begged her male counterpart if there was something he could do. That one looked at me in contempt and talked to me like the devil, who knows, they might even be related.
"Wetin you wan make I do? Go pay or you go abeg abeg abeg. I no need disturbance."
The lady looked helplessly at me as I walked away. I saw two young lawyers making their way to the entrance. I explained my plight and they marched up to the first security lady.
"Please help her, if only for the little girl. Surely you can let her in."
She said that even if she let me in, nobody would attend to me without a number.
Una dey hear talk? But they could attend to me with 2500. Odimma.
They convinced her to let me in but she told them I'll be out in 2minutes cos I'd be booted out. I was approached by a staff who said he heard us and will direct me to who will help me. He took me past the reception to the person. The person now took me to where I'd get the cash receipt for the normal price, I joined the queue while he held my passport and ID waiting. I was so happy, I couldn't believe my luck, until I overheard them whispering. I was able to hear
" I never tell her, make she get receipt first."
Ghen ghen!
"Oga abeg come." I took the main person that was to do it aside.
"After the #700, am I paying anything else?" I asked quietly.
" You need am sharp sharp?"
"Of course. I told you it was for my SIM retrieval."
"When I finish, you go give me 2000."
Ekwensu wu onye Nigeria, I swear! Could the day get any worse?
"Oga, please give me my passport and card."
"You go pay 1500?"
"I no pay. Give me my items abeg.
I stormed out. As I passed the reception, I was so filled with rage, I lashed out to no one in particular.
"I got an affidavit at Maraba in ten minutes for just a thousand naira and here at the FCT, you're asking for almost three thousand. Is that not wickedness?"
One of the receptioist beckoned on me. Near tears, I told him everything. He was a compassionate fellow, his female colleague too. They begged a man to help me. He did help me and when he finished about 45 minutes later, he told me it was normal to give something to show appreciation to the person who stamped it, not to him. I knew it was a lie but what the heck, at least he begged. I gave him five hundred naira.
I forgot an interesting part. Shebi the said fee was #700? My people #500 is the official price o, that was the price on the receipt! but they added two hundred naira unofficially. I still have my receipt and you can go to that court to see things for yourself.

It's also interesting to know that contrary to my expectation, I saw a few people and not multitudes. So, the number giving was a deliberate attempt to make sure there were customers for their mago mago business.
How do you expect to get Justice in a place like that?
