10 Years for stealing food?Only In Nigeria will the real thieves be walking free and food thieves will do time for the crime.....WTF!!!

This one go change so?
ReplyDeleteTen years is definitely too much. Even if the guy is remanded it should be for some months or not at all. They need to know why he has chosen to go that route. As far as he is not violent and he just goes for foodstuffs, then that is very wicked of the judge and the system, especially in a country where those that have stolen billions are still celebrated. This to me is pure injustice. If he is a violent criminal, then that is a different thing entirely. May God help the poor to get justice in our nation, in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen

This one is just going to waste 10 years of his life behind bars all because of laziness. You do not want to work,no matter how little.
ReplyDeleteI had initially wanted to question why politicians steal billions and get off on plea bargain yet this one is getting 10years only for me tho see that he isn't even a first time offender.
My only grouse is that, trials like these get speedy sentencing yet our billion stealers keep getting adjournments upon adjournments
There is no job in Nigeria now, most companies are now laying off there staff , so many people are now jobless in this country and price of food stuffs is now high, people are hungry.
DeleteI know what the man did was wrong. But, ten years?!?!? Common mehn!! The people that should get ten years die stealing, are the Fainters. Akpabio and all our past leaders, included.
ReplyDeleteWhat's really wrong with my country's system of justice. So biased, backward, bought-over and insensitive. They should be the "lookupto" of the downtrodden. But they are the most untrustworthy ..... all dem dat are charged with custody the laws in beloved Naija.
ReplyDeleteTen what? When the professional thieves are walking away without jail term or few years at most. That was too harsh.
ReplyDeleteAnd some people are stealing billions of dollars o ๐ถ♀️๐ถ♀️๐ถ♀️
ReplyDeleteNot fair na. 10years for food stuffs. This country is messed up. I swear I must increase my hustle to avoid this kind of shit.

ReplyDeleteI am guessing the lengthy sentence was because he's a two time convict. The sentence is to serve as a deterrent but with the way our correctional services are, he will come out a hardened criminal.
ReplyDeleteStealing is stealing, no matter what is stolen or who steals it. I am guessing the sentence imposed is the maximum in Ogun State.
Goodness gracious. What did I just read bikonu ooo
ReplyDelete10 good years for FOOD STUFF!!
ReplyDeleteChai!!!!!!๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
10yrs for stealing food while the real thieves in form of our leaders are walking free.
ReplyDeleteNigeria my country!wen are we going to start getting it right.
10 solid years???for what kwanu ??People stealing billions and fainting are walking free..mtcheeeew
ReplyDeleteThis is all shades of wrong!!! The law is only made for the poor
ReplyDelete...and nddc thieves and politicians are walking free.
ReplyDeleteten years is too much for a petty crime
ReplyDeletehow many years will kidnappers and ritual killer get.
The magistrate no do well at all, ten years for stealing food while our greedy politicians are walking freely. Na wah for this country
ReplyDeleteThis must be because he is a repeat offender. The sentence is not really excessive for a two-time convict. It is just unfortunate that courts do not dispense justice when the offender is rich and influential.
ReplyDeletePoli-thieves
ReplyDeletegodswill
Magu, magu
fainters
are walking free with billions
And food thieves are going to jail for 10 years?
Nigerian judiciary is a sitting ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Forget the headline. He’s a repeat offender who also stole money. Let’s put sentiments aside, he’s a thief!!!
ReplyDeleteWe all agree that he’s a thief . We also heard he’s a repeat offender. Truth remains that the ten years is too much. None of our politicians has spent that time for stealing millions. Even ibori, didn’t get ten years in London.
