Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative....

Hmmmmmm....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
WORRIED

Hi dearies,

Please, I need help! I tend to forget things easily and this has been going on since my childhood. It affected my studies too right from secondary school to university days to the extent that i always feel like I'm not intelligent enough to even pass my exams. My friends back in uni would see me as one unintelligent dude. Sometimes I would be isolated from discussing academic stuff in school cos they all know my GP and maybe cos they see me as one thats not intelligent enough.

Worse thing is before going for an interview, I cram and cram a lot but all to no avail. I end up forgetting everything I've read and i'd end up not getting the job. I also don't know why I find it hard to read and understand., if you asked me anything about what I've studied so far in school, I'd be scratching my head and be looking at you like lucozade.I really dont know whats happening to me.

I am really depressed right now. I have never talked about this to anyone before.

*Are you going through early menopause?please read about what you have Online and learn how to deal with it OK?.......Or is it something else?

Put your degree aside and go find out what kind of handiwork really interest you. I was not too good in class up to secondary but everything changed in uni but aside that, I'm naturally gifted with my hands. I'm depending on my creativity now and I think you are like me. God may have destined you to be site manager, because you have a knack for seeing flaws or managing people. He could have destined you to be a baker because you may be good in cooking. If office work no come your way, Oga drop certificate and start thinking what you might be good at. Look for somebody to apprentice under, God will lead. Don't be down, because we are not God.

If reading in a very quiet place works for you do it, read at your pace and understand, always look for key words while reading, Eg Obi is a boy, ask your self, why is a obi a boy? Study gently and you will grasp all in no time.

  26. Eat a well-balanced diet and take a multivitamin that includes beta-carotene, folic acid, iron, zinc, and vitamins C, B12, and E--your brain needs these nutrients. Avoid alcohol, OTC sedatives, such as antihistamines and sleep remedies, and stimulants. Unless you absolutely need them, avoid prescription drugs that are sedatives.

Picture flash cards, working puzzles, and otherwise exercising your mind may help you stay sharp.

  31. Well you are not alone.....I might read something now and forget it totally. I could be anything, a spectrum of autism and/ or development disorder, an untrained mind, symptoms of a disease etc.. We plenty for here.... Let me recommend what I find out and applied personally research

1.study something you are passionate about(something you know and comfortably able to express opinions) maybe an art or social science course or try a vocational school.
    2. Figure out your preferred learning style/s, if it's not reading/writing, it could be auditory visual or kinesthetic.
Reading and writing is tiresome for me but I learn best with visual and kinesthetic.
For reading, don't CRAM, that's probably why you can't remember. ensure you attend lectures, then go through your notes everyday;for every line /paragraph you read, write out your own understanding of it and if possible apply to real life and write examples, use that as your study materials, befriend one or two intelligent classmates and go through your notes together to get a 2nd opinion and ensure you have a grasp of the course. Read beyond the materials given by the lecturers or even the course you are studying.
    3. Eat healthy esp brain foods and supplements, drink enough water and rest regularly and try brain exercises. Read Anon 17.02 comment.
    4. Don't pressure yourself.... Anxiety doesn't give room for growth.Stop focusing on expectations (whether yours, your family, or friends) Take it one day at a time, find solutions as you go. I ended up with a 3rd class because I didn't want to upset my parents by changing courses even when I didn't understand much about the course I studied,I later realized they wouldn't have minded, because all they want is for me to succeed and be fulfilled in life. So start figuring out your career/business path esp if you don't like where you're now, then take steps towards them.
All the best, hopefully we ll get a better update from you.

  32. He's a dude Stella.

Poster, I had the same problem. But I discovered that increasing your stock of knowledge helps. Read wide and extensively. Beware of happenings around you. You don't have to know everything. If you don't know one thing, you would know another. That would boost your self confidence and esteem.

Figure out what the root problem is. Mine was abuse. I was molested by my own father as a child. It killed me and I died many times. I was a walking shadow. Always distant. Merely existing not living.

It took me over 25 years to heal. I'm actually still at it.

Make your self happy. Stop condemning yourself. No one person has it all or is good at everything. Find what you are good at and feed your energy with it.

Stay away from people or circumstances that drain you. Even if they're family. Stay around people who make you feel better about yourself. Feed yourself with positive energy at all times. Listen to music and motivational pieces.

Again, read. Read extensively. Be informed. Read informative and educational stuffs. Don't limit yourself to a particular genre. And not everytime Africa magic or social media.

Stop feeling shy around good/better people. Wise and kind people will not make you feel bad about yourself. Identify people that can help you and be confident enough to admit to them you don't catch things easily and they may have to slow down for you.

Relax. And stop taking yourself too seriously. Awaken your humourous side. When next it happens, accept it. You can even admit it and joke about it. It's not the end of the world. Worse things happen to people so look on the brighter side of things.

Also Google the 'spotlight effect' to check if you're the one blowing things out of proportion.

I remember considering medicines/voodoo that boost human memory. I don't remember doing either and I'm actually better now.

Above all, would you believe that reading your chronicle is the first time in about 3 years that I'm actually remembering that I had this problem? Meaning I didn't even realize when it was solved. But I know that I have spent the last three years loving myself... sometimes selfishly. I've been doing things that make me happy regardless of whatever/whoever's justification. And I forgive myself more easily these days. Maybe you should take a cue from that.

    God help you dear.

  33. This is me right now! luckily it started in final year so I kinda managed it!the issue ain't lack of comprehension,it is the inability to retain information! funny enough i have a six year old, anytime I help him practice,I tend to retain everything!once its mine, even if I run through a line ten times,I still forget it!go figure!!!

  35. Poster you need supplements. First detox your brain from heavy metals, then buy MegaRed. MegaRed is more potent than regular fish oil. Then buy ginkgo biloba (you can read more on this. It helps a lot with memory). Take vitamins and eat food that helps with memory. Get lots of sleeeeep, deep breathing and relax your self. Depression worsens memory problem. If You’re saying you’re already depressed, how things go improve. Please work on it. Goodluck. Ps: MegaRed is here in the United States. I’m not sure if you’re able to buy this supplement at your location. Or better still start with fish oil.
