The president made these remarks on Tuesday when he held a virtual meeting with members of the presidential economic advisory council (PEAC).
“We are a country characterised by a large population of poor people, serious infrastructure deficit, lack of housing and a vulnerable economy now haunted by the COVID-19 pandemic and collapse of the oil sector and its effect on the gross domestic product (GDP),” he said.
During their presentation, the council led by Doyin Salami, commended the administration for implementing several of its recommendations.
According to a statement signed by Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, the council presented the government with a number of “tough choices to make in order to put the country’s economy on a higher growth path”.
Salami also said more needed to be done to increase efficiency, coordination and accountability among ministries, departments and agencies.

So who will develop it, mumu in power!!
ReplyDeleteReal mumu in power
DeleteI curse the day Buhari became president. The worst thing to happen to that geographical space called Nigeria. A destructive and complete failure. An unhinged tribalist. He will never know peace.
DeleteOkie dokie
DeleteEven President Buhari himself is underdeveloped. Is he now the one to develop the country.
DeleteI understand your plight... but please let's not call him mumu... we should all pray for God to give him the wisdom to lead us towards peace and prosperity... it is well with Nigeria in Jesus name ( Amen).
DeleteEven has he mumu reach he is better than you the reason he was a able to win an election twice.
DeleteSo what is he doing about it, he is obviously waiting for all airports to open so he will continue travelling to other developed countries. Kontinu
ReplyDeleteEwo!! Omo see yabbings..

ReplyDeleteIt what somewhat manageable during the reign of other presidents you crippled it Buhari.
ReplyDeleteno shit, captain obvious. 🙄
ReplyDeleteI have been saying this all along since the global lock down. When they can't travel to any other place and have to depend on the healthcare they barely invested in, and the glaring lack of infrastructure they will understand. Look at him, for all he talks he will never live to see the development of Nigeria, it will be under someone else's governance that it will happen. He is only speaking because of the frustration that he haven't been able to travel out all these months for medical care or whatever else he travels for. Fidel Castro did not go to any other nation for treatment because he believed in the skill of the doctors of his nation and the healthcare of his country.
ReplyDelete3 bottles for you jare..He is really channelling his frustrations
DeleteYou know this!!
DeleteWhat has he been doing to change the status quo, Pure nothing. Right behind is nose the soldiers are being killed in hundreds, his hometown is in the hands of the bandits. In a sane country he would have resigned
ReplyDeleteOga you just dey wake up or warrisdis?😏
ReplyDeleteDid this man just wake up from coma? I am not understanding this...
ReplyDeleteOh Lord, who did we offend?

Another money borrowing strategy on the beat
ReplyDeleteBuhari and Apc as a political party have finished Nigeria.thank God that i have left that country for good.am blaming Yoruba's for giving Buhari a chance to become Nigeria president.
ReplyDeleteActually Mr President that is basically why you were elected, to steer the economy back to the right part and ensure economic stability, not to keep whining about past government inugo!
ReplyDeleteYou ruled in 1985 this is 2020 and the nation is still underdeveloped, where is all the money this government has borrowed from IMF and China?
ReplyDeleteNIGERIANS! Why are you people like this? The man said what he said in a meeting. He wasn't complaining to you. But here's my opinion. Nigeria had an accident in 1967, recovered partially in 1970, became wealthy and got carried away with the good life, forgetting to complete the recovery process. The good life led to a relapse in 1983 and another crisis in 1993. Another partial recovery happened in 1999 but Nigeria started to live large again. In 2015 someone came who said we couldn't continue that way. The same Nigerians now hate somebody who is trying to repair what has been in crisis on and off almost since independence. Some of you here talk as if Nigeria's problems can be solved by snapping your fingers. We have a LONG way to go.
ReplyDeleteFOOL!!! HAVE YOU FINALLY WOKEN UP? IF THERE IS AN ANIMAL WORSE THAN AN OSTRICH WHEN IT COMES TO EVADING ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF, THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE.
