ReplyDelete159k
DeleteI live in jos; 120/150 upwards should be enough monthly. For a comfortable accommodation in a nice area, good food etc.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Cost of living in Jos is economical. So much love that town
DeleteYes, the cost of living is low. Gosh! I miss that town.
DeleteThis question depends on your mode of living, with any amount one can work out a budget to maximize and utilize it well if not, even with much you will not be comfortable...But with the inflations everywhere since this corona issue, such amount will not be enough honestly and that is why multiple streams of income is always the right way to go, if you want to be truly comfortable with your mode of living in Nigeria today 😫
ReplyDelete💯% agree with you, it really depends on your mode of living. Ven with the inflation you can still work out a budget to maximize and utilize it well.
DeleteYou get too much sense pass plenty of your age mates. Standard of living is the coco.
DeleteYou said it well.
DeleteIt depends, it can go a long way for one week or highest 2weeks.

ReplyDeleteNo , not in Lagos, transportation alone now can gulp up to 25K in a month not to talk of food and other expenses.
ReplyDeleteNo. Lagos is expensive.
ReplyDeleteFeeding alone is expensive not to talk of taking care of children's needs, transportation, fueling of vehicles, health care, that's if you are not under any HMO plan. The list is just endless.
100k salary will be enough to live comfortably in my area as long as it's only you, especially if you are not the type that spend anyhow. You will be happy! If you have a family, then, you have to earn more.
ReplyDelete100k is ok without kids in the picture.
ReplyDeleteYes you can live comfortably with 100k in ilorin (even like a king).. Things are relatively cheap but..... Where you wan see 100k paying job here if not federal
ReplyDeleteIt won't be enough o,miniflat in my hood is 750k but if you earn 250k or 200k monthly then you are good to go.Magodo Shangisha
ReplyDeleteIt's not enough. What do you have for me?
ReplyDeleteNothing?
Then why did you ask?
Mbok stop all these imaginative discourse that will not bring solution.
You sef, that's why it's called BOREDOM ELIMINATING POST. LOL 🤣
DeleteShe does not have nothing for you..
DeleteNobody forced you to participate.
With 50k,hunger will almost kill you if your shoulder pad is too high.100k is when you too are working,at least 150 to 200k as an average standard of living.
ReplyDeleteFood stuffs is too expensive here.
Nsukka in Enugu is bae when it comes to buying nutritious local foodstuffs
Seriously, I pray my next job gives me 200k and above as salary per month. My current pay is nothing to write home about
DeleteI'm from Nsukka and I totally agree with you.
DeleteYou can even get foodstuffs from neighboring villages like Obollo, Orba and maybe Uzo-uwani at cheaper rates.
Yea@Noni,my siblings are enjoying there. That's where I was born and partly bred, most times I regret being here cos price of foodstuffs is too high here.I order some things from there too
Delete100k is not gonna work
ReplyDeleteI think,100k will do.....
ReplyDeletewith the economy of Nigeria, the cost of living in many places has increased. May God help us

ReplyDeleteAs a single lady,100K is okay for me
ReplyDelete100k isn't enough at all..rent, transportation, feeding, utility bills and miscellaneous sums up to #450k to #500k
ReplyDelete100k should do with plenty management, as u sort one bill more pile on, life is hard 🦋
Delete100k won't do at all...
ReplyDelete100k??? Who did this to Nigeria o!!! Tuehh
ReplyDeleteNo be small tuehh!!
DeleteYou didn't see 50k. It is crazy over here
DeleteStella it depends on a persons discipline and presence or absence of people to care for. Frankly speaking, I don't think it's enough.
ReplyDeleteI leave in ph and rent alone will consume more than half of the money
I spent 25 k for tfare to work here in lagos, not to talk of food and other expenses....
ReplyDeleteGod that is too much 😲😲😲😲
Delete100k in Kano maybe without small small extravagant living
ReplyDeleteThat's the good thing about the north. If not for their insecurities I won't mind relocating to Kaduna or even Kano.
DeleteThey enjoy alot of things.
Delete200k upwards will do
ReplyDelete100k a month for me alone is more than enough for me alone.
ReplyDeleteI reside in Lagos, though the price of goods and services is high now.but 100-150k is manageable
ReplyDeleteIt will be manageable.
ReplyDeleteYou should earn at least 1million
ReplyDeleteThis part of kd,120 at least
ReplyDelete100k is fine.
ReplyDeleteKD. 150k upwards
ReplyDeleteWhat I know for sure is that 100k ain't enough not with kids to feed and cloth..Anything above 100k will suffice if efficiently utilized..
ReplyDeleteWhat I know for sure is that 100k ain't enough not with kids to feed and cloth..Anything above 100k will suffice if efficiently utilized..

DeleteThank you Uzu. What is the best hotel in Ado Ekiti.
DeleteBig lie
DeleteOh mehn, see cheap place to live ooo.
DeleteWhy is eastern part of naija so expensive??? @Uzu enjoy ya life jare.
Nice analysis, I want to relocate. How is Fabrics business in Ado- Ekiti? like Ankara, bell materials lace etc.
DeleteAny anon, profitable.you know yoruba states like party.
Deleteyou can also sell in student area,Ekiti state university, afe babalola university, federal polytechnic and can do waybill to nearby states like akure and ondo,Benin too.
@Anon,summit hotel at afao road, midas, pathfinder, lots of nice and affordable hotels.
DeleteI will manage 100k alone without extravagant life....
ReplyDelete100k will do for me and my family of three children.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmmmm this depends solely on the individual mode of spending. However, it would be a struggling adventure for a family person due to Paying of house rent, school fees, feeding, clothing, transportation, etc. Nigeria economy is getting worse by the day, is well.
ReplyDelete150k will be okay...
ReplyDelete150k will be okay...
ReplyDelete100K will not be enough for my expenditures and savings.
ReplyDeleteA self-con accommodation here is about 150 to 170K. Then you'd talk about feeding, transportation, payments for my career advancement, siblings' school fees and a whole lot more.
About 150 to 200K would suffice here.
God!!
Please shine your countenance on me and bless me with a federal or multinational job.
This teaching job's remuneration is barely enough for me to survive.
Please hear my cry Lord!!
Where I live in Lagos ehn, that 100k has gone fiam for just transport fare in a month not to talk of me that have 4 children plus one nephew. Na prayer I dey so o. God no go shame us.
ReplyDelete200k will do better than 100k, in short no amount of money will do because the more pay you get the more problems you will face.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the comments, I see most people have capped 200k as the ideal Income to live a better life. Wait till you collect that same money for 3 month, then you will know even 500k per month is nothing.
ReplyDeleteWe are all Oliver Twist, we always ask for me.
However, I would say no amount is too small or to big, if you don't live above your means.
Earning 200k per month and renting a 750k/annum apartment is a NO NO!
Your house rent must not be more than your 2 month salary, and always apply the 60/40 rule.
