    2. Who carried out the survey or research, when was it carried out, what universities did they carry out the survey on and how many millionaires did they carry out the survey with. We need to see the facts first otherwise this can be termed a lie.

    1. I totally agree! On the grounds that, before you see an employee(which 85% of university graduates end up as) who is a millionaire, you'd see a hundred millionaire businessmen.
By the way, how Many salary earners are millionaires legitimately?...

  5. I agree. The best way to become a millionaire is through entrepreneurship. Yes, it is great to be educated academically but business education is the best of all.

  6. So true. Some of the richest and most successful people are dropouts. Aka Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and back home here Chief Okoya. Education sometimes gives people false arrogance about being automatically successful whereas there is more than that. It is God’s grace, hard work, perseverance, dedication and good luck that makes people to be rich

    2. It’s time to put this narrative to rest. Bill Gates and Mark all had powerful education! You think it’s easy to enter Harvard back in those day? You think someone uneducated can write codes or make business decisions? Why have the Onitcha market not produced a global brand? Or even a national brand? People will just be deceiving themselves.

Lots of people become millionaires in dollars by education. Lots!

  10. Not more because no one carried the research or came up with any result. But it has actually produced many of millionaires, the igbo people are so good with whatever they trade or make a living of and i witnessed that first hand during just a year of staying in anambra, also the millionaires in anambra alone will leave you surprised.

    5. Isaac, from my own research, Nnewi in Anambra State has more self made(no government kobo) billionaires than any STATE in Africa!
As a matter of fact, a proper research should be done Nnewi and whatever is behind their success...

      Delete
    6. Can we have details of your research because there is no way you can get access to the data and figures of every billionaire in the whole of Africa for you to make the comparison between all billionaires in all of Africa and Nnewi in Anambra state, not even the whole of Anambra state, just Nnewi alone as you claimed against the rest of Africa.

If you can't produce it then it is a LIE, feel free to send the info to Stella so she can post it as FACT and not as CLAIM.

  17. It is difficult to argue such when there is no fact to back it up, but on the average it’s a fifty fifty thing.
Had similar agurement with someone at a managerial level @NEXT Oil at VI, and I informed him that his MD started life from main market, made hundreds of million there before diversifying into oil and gas, so his success story can’t be complete without main market and same applies to some Anambra billionaires.
They start business there before furthering their education or they come there after graduation .

    4. If this is true, it means entrepreneurship was still the way for them, they needed funding, just went about it the wrong way

  19. What is the population of the whole anambra? What is the population of the whole graduates of the Nigeria universities?

What is the population of the people working in the onitsha main market?
What is the population of self employed graduates and employed graduates?

  21. Tertiary education enhances self esteem, self respect, self confidence. It cannot make you wealthy. To learn how to make money, you need to learn from the business owners. That's where service comes in. My children Will learn how to money before obtaining a degree

    ReplyDelete
  22. Who says graduates are not traders in onitsha main market???, some are even studying and trading. Abeg i know traders that were studying and eventually graduated. Money is good but education cannot be overemphaside

The point is,tho educated, the millions they control did not come from their degrees...

  24. This is a fact acknowledged and backed by a Harvard University study. And it doesn't mean that they do not go to university , but they learn the rudiments of business from the Market and improve on it with their education. Bottom line , they have the market to thank for their business acumen.
