Suspect Linked To Rape And Murder Of UNIBEN Student Uwa Has Been Arrested..

The Edo State Police Command has arrested one of the suspects linked to the rape and murder of Miss 22 year old Vera Uwaila Omozuwa an undergrad of the University of Benin who was raped and murdered by unknown persons while reading in RCCG church in Benin city.

Confirming the arrest, Spokesman of Edo Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor told newsmen that the suspect was arrested after the fingerprint on the fire extinguisher she was attacked with was examined.

Nwabuzor revealed that operatives of the command arrested the suspect after the Area Commander of Ikpoba Hill mobilized his men to take action.

“The item used in the assault, which was a fire extinguisher, was recovered, immediately the operatives who were with some specialists screened the finger prints which led to our suspect.

“Around the place of the incident, the suspect was arrested,” Nwabuzor said.

The death of Uwa has raised concerns and stirred reactions from notable figures, as well as Nigerians on the social media.

The Inspector general of Police, IGP Adamu disclosed that investigative aids have been deployed to Edo to help speed up the investigations.

He assured that the perpetrators of the crime will be brought to book in the shortest possible time.

    3. I'm pleased to inform you that in NIGERIA they even use forensic methods in crime investigations. In high profile cases and cases involving very influential people. This finger print detection is just one of the methods. If an influential person is involved the NPF goes to great lengths unknown to the general public to fish out the perpetrators.

  5. I pray it is a suspect and not a victim? Police are too quick to make them look they are working hard.

My rant why destroying and burning the Redeem Church? That is wickedness.

EEdo state is home to cultist, kidnapping and won't be surprised these people burnt the church.

This is a House of God wherein people come in to find solace.

It is well. Let it be that person is a suspect and we know God Almighty is not asleep on this case.

    1. The society needs redemption and cleansing. It has to start with pastors, they need a great awakening and mind shift from money preaching to salvation preaching. Sermons and teachings have to change from money collection to holiness. Then, only then can we have a saner society
