Nigerian Pastor Dies From COVID 19 Complications.....

A pastor who was allegedly smuggled into a private hospital in Sapele, Delta State on Saturday, after he developed Coronavirus complications has reportedly died on  Monday night while awaiting evacuation after the hospital was closed by the Delta State Ministry of Health monitoring team.

The pastor, Wilson Okotie, Senior Pastor, High Impact Christian Centre, was said to have fallen sick on Thursday night and was taken to a clinic in Warri, from where he was again referred back to the clinic in Sapele.

The late pastor was said to have drawn his last breath at about 6:40 pm while awaiting evacuation from Treasurehold Specialist Hospital where he was admitted and being secretly managed against COVID-19 protocol.

Dr Richard Ikwuogu, who was leading the Delta State Ministry of Health Epidemiology inspection/monitoring of health facilities, and incident manager of the COVID-19 response team, on Monday, on a tip-off had stormed the hospital premises, where the deceased was admitted and sealed it, after finding out that two patients were being treated for Coronavirus.

  1. It's sad he died but was there an autopsy done to ascertain the cause of his death?

    May he rest in peace

    2. Any suspected case of covid that leads to hospital and involves breathing problem, they should quickly put the person on oxygen before commencing treatment. That may save a life.

  3. Why treat secretly and endanger other lives! Isolation centres are there for a reason!

  4. Why is a so called pastor engaging in a criminal act??? Is he too righteous to have covid-19? He should have simply gone to the state hospital and whatever protocol they have in delta state.
He might already told his congregation that he is immune to corona and can even cure it, thus the hide game.
May his soul Rest In Peace. He must have infected tens of people in this game. Kmt

    1. 7:43 too conclusive on your part. 🤦‍♀️
Firstly, you don't know if this Pastor hid that he was sick or was taken to the hospital by another person.
When you are very sick or in pain, do you even know who takes you where?!

Secondly, what proof do you have that he actually had Covid-19 or tested positive beside hearsay?

Thirdly, since you are not in his congregation, how do you know he told them he was immune to Corona? THAT'S BEARING FALSE WITNESS against the man.

I hope you won't complain when someone you don't know makes such conclusion about you on hearsay.

May his soul rest in peace.

  9. Members of his church should start isolating themselves right away!

You see the reason I'm against opening of churches especially in Nigeria, they don't know how to obey law and order.

This pastor most probably knew he had the Wuhan coronavirus but, him and his family kept it to themselves and continued with their lives. I assume he also had Church service until last Sunday, how many people are now at risk?

If he had not died, I bet his church members would have still be made to believe he only had fever.

Some of you don't know how to serve and worship God. You only see God through the eyes of your crook pastors and that is why many of you act just like them.

    Obedience is better than sacrifice!!

    2. Ms. A you don't know this. Stop pontificating!.... @"This pastor most probably knew he had the Wuhan coronavirus but, him and his family kept it to themselves and continued with their lives. I assume he also had Church service until last Sunday, how many people are now at risk?"

You don't need to have this mindset that all are false Pastors or living in disobedience to the will of God.

Some are Pastors and Christians are on their own level of faith. Some may die of sickness, accident or other causes depending on what revelation that have of God's word which in turn determines their walk of faith.
That notwithstanding, Jesus Christ already healed us by his stripes having borne all our infirmities and diseases. Eventually, those in Christ will all be him in His Kingdom where there is no sorrow, tears, pain, disease or death.

The danger of always finding fault is losing sight of one's own fallibility.
