According to him, he got home, opened the carton and when he saw what was inside, he immediately returned it back. When he was asked his reasons for returning the cash, he said the money was not his, so there was no reason for him to keep it.
The vendor who could not hold back his joy, thanked him and told the man to come and collect a carton of indomie whenever he needs it till December.
The funniest part of this story are reactions on facebook to his returning the money.
And tomorrow they blame politicians
ReplyDeleteSmh
Some nigerians abide in corruption.
Just imagine being condemned for doing the right thing.
And people misquoting the bible to suit the thieving ways .
Choco dear you may not understand. There's hunger in the land. If our politicians can still more than enough and be ok with it,why shouldn't i keep mute with this?
DeleteAnd how do you think that money got into the indomie carton if not that some one was trying to play a fast one with the company?
Sometimes it feels like we deserve our leaders.
DeleteInfact I'm not sure anyone else will do better in our public offices.
How did we get here?
A man who showed integrity is being vilified.......
DeleteWe as a people need to change.
People are crazy o, so they are insulting from doing the right thing, what if that was the vendors savings...i am happy he took it back.
DeleteThe vendor though, which one ks eating free indomie until December 🤣🤣
"Steal"
DeleteWaoooooooo nice one
DeleteYou can see them, this why Nigeria can never get better, self centered. Chaiiiii, you can imagine cursing him for doing the right thing. Tuehhh
DeleteTbabe, why not reverse the situation and tell me how you'd feel. If someone stole 1.8M naira from you in this economic situation, how would you feel? The blessings of God maketh rich without adding sorrow. God does not need to wreck anyone before giving you your breakthrough.
DeleteThis man indeed modeled his life in line with the Scripture. ROM 15.4. This is what Christ expects us to do not contrary because ill-gotten wealth does not last long, so he did the right thing.
DeleteWe should emulate him, may God bless those doing the right thing. Amen.
@Tbabe there is no justification for stealing . If you take what's not yours it is stealing.
DeleteAs a beliver isn't it in God's commandment that we should not steal?
As a person hoping for a better Nigeria isnt this the kind og people we have to have in this country ?
And as a person isn't integrity more valuable than riches?
The bible says the blessings of God makes rich and adds no sorrow, do you know what evil that money could have brought him?
@Sunshine and Anon my sentiments as well!!
Someone did the right thing as is being chastised , instead of being applauded.
@Push Up yet they wonder why Nigeria is the way it is today,
We cannot hold our leaders accountable with this appalling mindset 😤 I mean this is all shades of wrong .
I have said it that Nigeria’s problem is not only caused by our politicians.
DeleteNa today we go know thieves on this blog
DeleteGod bless you @Choc
Delete😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂the comments o! 😂😂😂😂😂. Anyways keep ur hands clean. U never know what God is preventing for u ahead.
DeleteTbabe, so you can give excuse for criminality ?
DeleteI hope you read what you wrote before you pressed send.
Your heart is polluted.
There is no justification for stealing. Period. God bless that honest man.
DeleteHonestly I go with a comment there, to me this is staged, the man wan trend. Indomie ko domitable ni
ReplyDeleteSome sellers do keep mony inside carton
DeleteThat comment cracked me up.
DeleteHow can one feel happy that they are causing someone so much pain.
" the word of God says, I will show u treasure in hidden places" hahahah.. U did well nna..👏👏👏
ReplyDeleteBut the money also doesn't belong to the vendor na!!!
DeleteDon't mind those ones deliberately misinterpreting the Word.
DeleteYou can only use good to overcome evil na so the Bible advise us.
Na that one weak me. The way we turn the bible upside down in Nigeria is story for another day.
Deletethe word of God also says thou should not steal .
DeleteLet's stop twisting God's word to suit our mischief please.
15;26 vendor means retailer or simply put, trader. That vendor could have put the money from sales in the carton of noodles and sealed it.
DeleteIt doesn't mean the carton of noodles came from the factory that way. Either way you don't keep what's not yours. That's stealing.
The vendor is not serious at all! Why not gift him with whatever you like? He should be coming to your shop whenever he needs noodles. Really?
ReplyDeleteYou are a good man Mr chidiebere ogbonna 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 May God reward you.
Exactly! That part just confuses me. Anyways God bless Mr Ogbonna truly. Blessings will locate him in Jesus Name!
DeleteHow else would you want him to show appreciation? The money wasn’t a windfall. He wasn’t under any obligation to reward the Good Samaritan, he could as well have embraced him.
DeleteOffering him a carton of indomie whenever he wanted it for a specific period was noble enough. God has a blessing for such people.
I don't even believe this happened
DeleteThey wanted him to split the money and give the good Samaritan half of it. Lolz
DeleteOur sense of entitlement ehn!
E remain make we no dey baff again na another person suppose dey baff us.
Nice one from him👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
ReplyDeleteUnlimited blessings will locate him now🙏🏾, but the seller sha, instead of compensation of small cash you dey turn am to indomie ambassador 😂😂
You dey mind that vendor🤣🤣
DeleteWas the cartoon of indomie sealed,if yes then the money does not belong to the indomie seller, he just dashed someone else the money, or is this an advert from indomie people to make us to go and purchase indomie hmmmmm, let me rush and buy mine, maybe I might find 2million
ReplyDeleteAnother angle....🤔
DeleteYour head dey dia. If the carton was sealed, the money is not the sellers own.
DeleteThat's what I feel too. If it was sealed, like brand new sealed, then even the vendor is a thief! That buyer should have kept the money for him and his family!
DeletePaprika, indomie carton and any carton can be resealed.
DeleteI hope you all don't think the carton of noodles came from the factory packed with money.
If it's too good to be true then it is certainly not true.
Money doesn't fall from trees. 😂😂😂
Thank goodness he returned it and those cussing are terribly corrupt
ReplyDeleteLol, put one carton of indomie and one million naira, this man go still collect the indomie, see him belle, na indomie full am. The person wey say make him come dey collect indomie every month, know wetin hin see.
ReplyDeleteHahaha😀😀😀😀 this comment "off" me I swear
DeleteYou don't have to body shame him.
Delete🤣 🤣 🤣
DeleteYou people are wicked ooo
14.38 Anon, please don't insult the man.
Deletethis is wrong .
DeleteAnon why?
Delete😂😂😂😂 you people are wikid
DeleteAnon 14:38 If that cartoon was sealed his mumu is uncommon. Polly his village people use indomie swear for him.
Delete🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆
Deletelol@ Uncle wey MUMU.
ReplyDeleteSee me getting angry on behalf of his wife. With this present hardship? Chaiii.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have returned nothing after all its said,God can bless us through any means. So i would have counted it as such.
😭😭😭😭
DeleteSo God printed money and stuffed it in the carton to bless you.. smh
DeleteTbabe thank you for saying the truth. Make I hear say...
DeleteAnd you are a Christian. Smh
DeleteTbabe it is wrong to misquote the bible.
DeleteThis same bible says thou shall not steal , if the man didn't return the money that would have been stealing .
Moreover the bible says God would bless the works of our hands.
Let's be guided.
Choco,Mao and Alternative facts, please dont feel disappointed ok.. guess i said that from a place of hurt and pain. The government officials keep stealing and embezzling money meant for the masses. There are no jobs out there. Even the few you see, money would be asked from you before getting it. Sometimes you pay and still end up losing out.
DeleteAll these are enough factor to make one act abnormally but i pray not to.
Eleganza dear, thanks for the compliment but you know, sometimes the truth may not be right 🤗🤗
If I was his wife, I would be so proud of him. My husband is this kind of person and believe me, God has blessed us so much and keeps blessing us. I've learnt from him and my late late dad that last last, integrity pays.
DeleteIf I was his wife, I would be so proud of him. My husband is this kind of person and believe me, God has blessed us so much and keeps blessing us. I've learnt from him and my late late dad that last last, integrity pays.
DeleteSo are you against stealing or fellow armed robbers not splitting the loot with you? What right have you to condemn the thieves if you are nothing but a thief without opportunity? Why won't you have thieves in power when it is thieves who vote for them, rationalize their theft and support them?
DeleteDays ago, it was a woman who gave up her marriage, integrity and peace for her husband to lie and deceive another woman into marriage. That not being enough, she has wickedly roped her cousin into an illegal nine-months course that could end up ruining that person's legal stay. I was expecting to hear the Sanctimonious Sally chime and a lot of Bible verses to boot. Instead, they were seeking for God's wisdom on how to cheat the system and wishing her well on her adulterous quest. Of course, the man has secured himself and may one day come back for her children but the woman has everything to lose and many have thrown away their peace and lost everything through this route...
If you don't believe in God as your source, please don't bother worshipping him. Have enough honesty to declare for your real team and abide by it's principles. And please, don't waste anymore time condemning the present government or the armed robbers who killed the wife of the Maersk boss. After all, there is hunger right 🙄🤦🥴
Let me go and buy my own noodles
ReplyDeleteGod pls I need my own
People though.. why curse him for doing the right thing?
ReplyDeleteThat's someone's capital,So they expect him to spend it.
If that carton of indomie was brand new sealed, then the money doesn't belong to the vendor! God wanted to bless that buyer yet he didn't recognise it. Shior!!!
DeleteDon't mind the churlish lot.
DeleteWe are the reflection of our society.we are our bane
ReplyDeleteYou can say that again.. We are the Government, it begins with us! No be today I don dey talk am
Deletetake this 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
DeleteHahahahaha as rat wet chop indomie. Kai these people are doomed. Imagine that one saying God said I will show you the hidden treasure hahahaja.
ReplyDeleteKai we need good and credible men and women in this country Amen
These youths would be worse than the elders we have in politics right now. Nigeria is lost.
ReplyDeleteits becoming really glaring
DeleteShaking my head vigorously...praying it doesn't fall off.
ReplyDeleteWith those set of commenters, we don't need to hold our stakeholders accountable.
Uwa mmebi.
❤
My dear, they 'our so called stakeholders", made it so.
DeleteTrain up a child in the ways of the Lord so when he grows up,he wouldn't depart from it. But these guys messed us up.
Tbabe.
DeleteYour comment here is contradictory going by your previous comments.
I can never be attracted to stealing no matter the form it comes from.
I commend the man IF the story is true.
Ify life itself is contradicting. But to set the records strait, was only commenting based on what the commenter dropped.
DeleteMost people here do not have Integrity. Do you know peace of mind is worth more than having money that is not yours?? The Money will eventually finish. But will your mind be at peace?
ReplyDeleteSee them.. So far he knows where the money came from, that's the right thing to do! What's wrong with people? No conscience at all?
ReplyDeleteTruth be told, due to hardship in the world, it is tempting but it still doesn't make it right. See if God wants to bless you, he won't put a question mark on that blessing.. Not the blessing that will be troubling your conscience!
I tire for our youths
DeletePoliticians are not only the problem of this country. See how they insulting him!
ReplyDeleteThat vendor sha..its better to go and give him the noodles yourself because he may not come willingly.
Exactly @ your first line !!!
DeleteWe need to purge ourselves some tbis mentality first.
This is why there is no accountability!!!
As a banker, I have seen money in Millions, so any money that is not mine does not move me. If I where the man I will return it for my conscience sake whether I am rewarded or not.
ReplyDeleteThank you. They are Even talking like the money is soooo much....What if the man actually have more than that in his account?
DeleteGod Bless you .
DeleteLet God reward , God's reward is better than man's reward.
I'm not surprised at these comments.
ReplyDeleteSigns of the end.
anyone that condemns yahoo
DeleteBut is mad this man returned this money is a hypocrite .
Cos stealing is stealing I'm really amazed at the comments here .
It goes a long way to show how morally bankrupt some people are.
@ Choc, you see this younger generation, them tear eye pass anything. Trust me, they will do worse than all these thieving politicians If they have the opportunity.
Delete@AB I totally agree with you they are morally depraved and highly corrupt , their quest for vain things would be their undoing.
DeleteEspecially when they've the wrong people as their role models what do we expect?
They've mapped out their looting strategies and structures already .
May God help us.
For this Corona virus Time... Hmmmm well-done Mr Big belle...
ReplyDeleteHe is a man of integrity.
ReplyDeleteOn the whole l have found 5 iPhones, two wallets and a brand name sunglasses.1
ReplyDeleteMy pay back from God is he never allows me to loose anything.
The day one of my Gold earrings got missing,l still found it on me when l was undressing.
And the only time l left my phone at a public place l found it still.
Before l found my Phone l prayed and told God to let me find it, because l had return people's phones on the past and he heard.
You are like me. I always return lost but found items and I don't lose my things.
DeleteIn fact, when I get gifts especially cash gifts, anyone with me gets a fair share up to half of that money including drivers.
If the gift is not cash, I find a way to give something good to the person(s) with me.
I don't lacked any good thing from God and I am content with what I have.
He did the right thing. What is not yours is not yours.
ReplyDeleteThe person that said "some people are not meant to be rich", so it's 1.8million that will make him rich abi?
It is poverty jare.
DeleteHe did well by returning it.it wasn't his money,so why should he keep it?and for those saying that why didn't the owner gift him something else..na entitlement mentality they worry una.what if he didn't gift him anytin at all..
ReplyDeleteThe man did a noble deed imagine if he kept it and the seller traced it back to him, he would have probably been arrested
ReplyDeleteMoreover for those saying the man should have gifted him more than indomie, what if that money for was his oga, or for buying more stock for his business, yes he gave him indomie but indomie ain't nothing superpack indomie it's 3k plus
People should not have the mentality that they must be gifted something for returning what was not thiers in the frist place
You are right, I believe if this man list his problem 1.5m can't solve it. He has done the right thing and God can count it to him as righteousness. His seed will enjoy the benefits
DeleteGod bless you Sir.. taking what doesn't belong to u is stealing no matter the circumstance.
ReplyDeleteMy own be say why did he return to where it was bought if sealed instead of locating that Indomie company
ReplyDeleteHe did well. No matter the amount of meat stuck in your teeth, it can never satisfy one.
ReplyDeleteMoney the vendor was hiding from thieves
He tried. Welldone sir
ReplyDeleteThe government is a reflection of it's people. The average Nigerian lacks integrity. If the world were to end today, very few Nigerians would make it.
ReplyDeleteVery true @15:43. I found out the hard way. Time and again, I got burnt by fellow Nigerians - people I trusted.
DeleteYou can't trust a lot of Nigerians with money and in business.
He did well by returning it..that is assuming the whole thing wasnt stage-managed. It pays to be honest.
ReplyDelete🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
ReplyDeleteSMH
He should have returned it to the indomie company and not to the vendor.Na still the same stealing if the vendor didn't return it to the company as the carton was sealed
ReplyDeleteAppetizer, how did you conclude that the money in the indomie carton belongs to the Indomie company?
DeleteIt's clear you don't know what manufacting lines look like much less how they operate. You don't know cartons can be resealed. 🙄
Good work.
ReplyDeleteThere’s more to this life than hustling for money everytime. Some people are just something else whenever money is mentioned.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
DeleteExactly what I said !!!
ReplyDeleteWe are all gearing towards heaven from various angles ,so our bro decided to return it ..good if only he does not commit other sins like lies telling, adultery, etc because it will be a waste of ur time
ReplyDeletebut uf i were a family member if yours bump a$$) i would disect your fuckin belly
I've heard something similar but it was cartoon of frozen fish.
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of person brands should use as Ambassador not only celebrities. He is a real HERO.
ReplyDeleteSimilar thing happened to me in 2018. I gave an elderly woman a lift in my rusty car and the woman forgot her small box inside my car. I noticed it the next day when I was cleaning the car. I was initially afraid to open the box but after praying, I just opened it and and saw plenty wraps of 1000naira note. I counted the the bunles,it was 20, that's means 100thouasand in one bundle making it 2million. I also saw small purse with phone with flat battery inside the box.I was confused how someone would forget such huge amount of money. For 30mins I was confused whether to return the money or not. I charged the phone and later call the last dailed number in the phone to contact the owner. The woman was so happy that she asked me to mention what she will do to reward me. I just told her that l need a job. Within one month,l got a federal job that pays... MrsB, you are a Godsent. When I thought all is over, God use to shame my ex that tame me lazy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a testimony, honesty pays.
DeleteWow,see a great testimony here
Delete17:10 God will do much more for you. Keep your integrity. There are few like you. 💕
DeleteIf I had a company, automatic employment for him
ReplyDeleteHe sure is. Infact, if indomie does not use him as a brand ambassador, they've messed up.
ReplyDeleteHe will surely be rewarded in due time by the one who sees everything. He is a just man.
ReplyDeleteexactly 💯
DeleteWe are rewarded in different ways.
Even the ones that would have legit taken that money and sealed up their mouths are on here preaching 😂 but chile, it is what it is.He is a noble man though, The whole story sounds off to me.
ReplyDeleteLemme go and buy my own pack of indomie🏃🏾🏃🏾🏃🏾 biko, which brand did he buy🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽
ReplyDeleteEyeah, what a nice person and she reward you too. May God bless Mrs B
ReplyDeleteAwwn... this almost brought me to tears... just when i have lost hope in my country people... so we still have people of integrity in naija?... and i thought i 'm last... wonderful!... i'm so glad
ReplyDelete🤗🤗🤗🤗
DeleteHim village people done follow am ooo ahhh.... indomie for 1.8m
ReplyDeleteThese are the same people abusing HushPuppy for bringing the name of Nigeria into disrepute. When if given the opportunity they would do worse than the idiot
ReplyDeleteHydrogen ask yourself where you've hidden money before.
ReplyDeleteTraders keep money in cartons sometimes.
Those castogating the man for returning the money, have your asked yourselves what of that money happened to be counterfeit or belonged to a deadly thief that hid it that carton of noodles?
ReplyDeleteYou either end up arrested or traced and killed.
Broad is the way of destruction but FOOLS (THE GREEDY) RUSH IN. 😔
