DeleteYes Goldie. It was so sad. Big things awaited her after having such a huge platform on Big Brother Africa. Keffee's own was painful too. Da Grin too. Very talented rapper. All very young people. OJB's own was like, you know someone got sick and got well but it was a 50, 50 thing too. With Christy and Ras Kimono, they had had their time though still painful. Rest in peace to them all.

ReplyDeleteDagrin also because he was at the peak of his career. A movie was made to pay tribute to him then, his accidented car was tour round campuses. It came to my school then and stayed for months, like they forgot the car there.

ReplyDeleteI was still quite little when he’d died. And I loved listening to the radio.....A day after he died I noticed radio stations were playing most of his songs and I was happy thinking it must be his birthday....Not knowing he’d died.
It still happens to me till now, whenever a station is playing a particular artiste’s song continuously, i immediately google the musician to be sure they good... God forgive me. It’s like a reflex.

DeleteHe died in 2010, i was in final year then, the exact same thing happened, i was listening to radio in the evening and was telling my roommates radio stations were blasting Da grin songs that it must be his birthday. Few minutes later a coursemate was crying in the room next to ours, we ran there and heard he had died, they were family friends so she really cried. It was a sad day

Never met him before, not from his tribe. I only heard about him during the time he had that accident. After surviving the incident he composed a song on his seek bed that his parents should not cry for him, even if he dies chai anytime l hear that music l will shed tears ���������������� the boy saw his death and l feel for him. He's star
ReplyDeleteNo, he did not compose the song on his sick bed, he sang that song before his accident. He was in a coma after the accident and never recovered.

Dude was very talented 👌👌.

Keffee. Cuz it was sudden, it was found out she was pregnant, and the cause was soooooooo inexplicable to me (back then). She died as A result of a blood clot if I remember correctly?
