      Delete
    3. I had only a chief bridesmaid.

It depends on what the bride wants. I didn't have strength for it so I didn't have any. Same for asoebi too. I didn't sell asoebi.

    4. In addition, my husband also didn't buy the train thing. He didn't want asoebi too. Even when his sister said she wants to sell, he refused.

So it all depends on what the couple wants.

    6. It can also depend on the brides age. In my 20s i did so many bridesmaid and chief bridesmaid twice.
Now im in my mid 30s and my husband to be is 39. We dont intend doing bridal train,we feel too old. Probably just best man and chief bridesmaid.
Besides we are only doing registry and traditional marriage.

  8. As the couple desired.
When I did my wedding I didn't use bridesmaids only my maid of honour. I'm the last in a family of 10 ladies so my sisters who worn same clothes served the purpose. Case closed.

  22. It depends on how you want it. For me 2 or 3 is good. Other acquaintances can do their own asoebi if they so wish but I would like my bridesmaid's to be my friends and they are few.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The brides choice is the correct number. There's no standard to it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If possible for me, None.
Except a chief bridesmaid...which it’s very very important it’s someone you are close with.
I know the whole dramas that surrounds this stuff after experiencing my sisters weddings. It’s crazy!
Bridesmaids forget they are there to help the bride. Many think all they have to do is show up beautiful, go to the church with the couple and walk in with them at the reception, take pictures and go home.
I’d like to give responsibilities to each one of my bridesmaid without them feeling like I’m using them. But common Can’t you be a maid for a friend for just one day? It’s like literally in the name of what you signed up for.
But I love the whole Aso Ebi gang thing tho.

  33. I think it all depends on what the bride wants.
For me, I doubt if I would want any.

I attended a wedding early last year. The lady had 28 bridesmaids. I kid you not! The pastor who took the sermon said he had never seen such a large number of bridesmaids. And each one had a groomsman oh!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, I would like to have as many as possible but I got no female friends at all even In my family.. cousins o, nieces o.. everybody just dey their day. My only friend is my twinny

    ReplyDelete
  35. I got married in 2009, and I had 30 people on my train! It was so awesome and colorful. They ranged between the ages of 2 years to 24 years.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I used 6 but left for me, I prefer only chief bride's maid.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Its the brides choice. I had four bridesmaid at my wedding

    ReplyDelete
  38. 4 is okay for me but it all depends on the bride.

  39. It depends on the bride

I had 10 bridesmaids and like 50 aseobi girls at a point the seller had to puruse me😂 he said he was tired of looking for the same fabric and it was lace each person needed least 3 yards. The week of the wedding my friends who did get still wanted,

It made my day colourful teal green ce and yellow headties.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Its a matter of choice.
    I had 5

    ReplyDelete
  41. Stella if I have a way, I will only have just 10 people in all/attendance, no asoebi and others. I am that shy.....extremely introvert.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Between 2 and four.
I don't even have that many friends.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Stella honestly if I have 20 I'd love VE that. I love crowd, I love buoyant and elaborate celebrations. If I can have it as it was back in the day; little bride, flower girl, bridesmaids and chief bridesmaids. Kid relative and relative aseobi too

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think it would depend on what the bride wants.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Left to me, just my chief brides maid and I'm good.. Sometimes, I wish my wedding will just be 20guest but mom gives me this awful look each time I say it.. I have just one friend and I still can't figure how I'd go about this train and asoebi stuff.. Potential hubby shu come fez.. God biko hear my cry

    ReplyDelete
  46. 6, Incase 2 may refuse showing up

    ReplyDelete
  47. I really don't like the train idea, would prefer just my CBM bt even if I will end up using bridesmaids, just 2 is okay for me. But I'm definitely having my asoebi ladies to come and slay and do pepper them. Can't wait for my big day

    ReplyDelete
  48. I didn't want any bridal train because I have only 2 close female friend, one was already married with two kids at the time I was getting married, the other one was my CBM,I had to get 5 ladies because my husband already had 5 male friends on ground.

2 of my fellow choir member, my sister and her friend and my husband's cousin(she cancelled at the last minute). It's stressful, especially for people like us who don't have female friends. In my next life, no bridal train.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I had 12 bridesmaid and 12grooms men
Very funny pose in all the pictures!
