DeleteWhen it comes to marriage, a lot of educated women won't settle for an uneducated partner, some have goals they want to achieve before marriage but most educated women just want to get married and have kids, and to most of them its the ultimate goal. Then again it depends on your definition of "husband".

DeleteUneducated girls have much wider options in choosing a spouse because they wouldn't mind settling with an equally uneducated man or one that's into certain vocational professions. She wouldn't mind being with a farmer, trader, welder etc.
ReplyDeleteEducated girls are more exposed and have certain standards they wouldn't want to compromise on for instance, they would definitely want an equally educated man and one that's preferably in a "respectable" profession, usually white collar. That alone disqualifies a lot of potential suitors and the dating pool becomes more shallow as her preferences become more streamlined to her taste.

DeleteThe educated lady on the other hand who wants an educated guy may have to wait for the guy that's ready financially to get married to her which may take time due to the economic situation of getting a well paid white-collar jobs.

ReplyDeleteIt is because a woman that sits in class and pass her tests to become a graduate has a false sense of entitlement forgetting that education is for knowledge. The same false of entitlement is why there are millions of unemployed graduates in Nigeria. Partially educated ladies have backup bankable skills that are very attractive to men. Educated ones are still waiting for letter of employment or are underemployed. Men have become wiser.

I think it is because they select less. Educated women will process the if and then from the time of proposal to at least 5 years into marriage making selection process tougher.
