    'I'm not trying to win the approval of people.' Galatians 1:10 NLT

    People pleasing does two things: (1) It makes you neglect your own needs in order to meet other people's. (2) It causes you to make decisions based on their approval. Either way, you can end up feeling like a doormat. Maybe you became a people pleaser early in life to get the attention you craved and couldn't get any other way. Or maybe you never learned to trust your own judgment. The Bible says, 'Fearing people is a dangerous trap' (Proverbs 29:25 NLT), because it always backfires. Not only do others get upset with you, you end up disappointed with yourself when things don't work out.

    Peter struggled with people-pleasing. The night before the crucifixion when 'a servant girl...said..."You were one of those with Jesus"...But Peter denied it in front of everyone. "I don't know what you're talking about"' (Matthew 26:69-70 NLT). Afterwards he ended up weeping over his failure. When Samuel confronted Saul about his decision not to completely destroy the Amalekites: 'Saul admitted..."I was afraid of the people and did what they demanded"' (1 Samuel 15:24 NLT). Paul, on the other hand, wrote, 'I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant' (Galatians 1:10 NLT).

    It's good to be considerate, loving and patient, but you can't let yourself be intimidated and manipulated: 'God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power' (2 Timothy 1:7 NAS). When you yield to the fear of others you allow them, not God, to control your life. God doesn't want you to serve people out of fear, but out of love for them - and him.

    Make Sure You Check That Room Once In A While

    There was this young, poor and wretched hunter. His family was nothing to write home about. He was very poor and miserable.

    One day, the king of his village died and when they consulted the oracle, this young man was picked to be the next king despite the fact that his linage has nothing to do with the kingship linage.

    On the day of coronation, he wept so bitterly as he could not imagine the crown being put on his poor head.

    After the coronation, he asked that an extra one room should be built in the palace compound and the things to be kept in that room are just his catapult, hunting boots, hunting dresses and all his hunting instruments.

    Any time he is tempted to be proud, arrogant, think too highly of himself or talk rudely to his subjects, he will go into that room and once he sees all his hunting instruments and dresses; they remind him of his humble beginning and make him humble the more.

    He said that, that room is the most beautiful room in the whole palace.

    Though what is in that room are not beautiful, but they help him remain humble before God and men. In addition, it also gave him a beautiful and peaceful reign.

    Friends, are we not all like this poor, wretched man? Was it not the mercy of God that turn our nonentity to celebrity?

    Now you drive latest cars around, but can you still remember there was a time you don't even have money to pay for public transport.

    How come we now brag of our successes, achievements and look down on others who are not in our level?

    How come you treat your employees as if you are sure they don't have a future?

    How come you insult your church members as if you started pastoring from your mother's womb?

    You are quick to forget that, there was a time you were lost in your sins and dead in your iniquities and trespasses?.

    The Bible says: 'For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?' (1 Corinthians 4:7).

    Your natural or artificial beauty has entered your head now that you see yourself as the best and you call other people ugly fellow.

    Remember, if we are not humble, we will surely stumble. We all need to be checking that 'room' once in a while.

    Remember your past and see where God picked you from!

    Atimes, check your old pictures and see how you looked then and compare it with who you are now, then, if there is any sense of divinity in you, then you will know that, it is of the Lord mercy that you were not consumed. Humble yourself.

    When you are tempted to be proud or look down on others because of your position and material possessions, always go back and check your own 'room of your humble beginning'.

    Please stay safe and live a humble life......

    Who else has been following up on GULDER ULTIMATE SEARCH rerun that has been running for the past couple of days on africa magic every evening?

    wow it brings back memories and i must say. it was one of the best f shows that all family members could enjoy,as we would all gather at home to watch and root for our favorites to always succeed and eventually win over various difficult hurdles and challenges thrown at them, the story line behind various seasons about the winning price/totem usually won in the end were always great and interesting and over the years the show was anchored by
    chidi mokeme, bob manuel and darey and they were strict to the core, i even remember them having an all celebrity edition one year and it was fun.

    i wish this rerun is their own way of announcing them bringing back the show to our screen after this pandemic is over, and the contestants should be well compensated this time than previous winners and the contestants should attain fame more than big brother housemates, because in all fairness GUS contestants go through a lot of struggle and suffering, imagine sleeping in the jungle and cooking bush meals compared to living in the luxuries and comfort that big brother house offers its contestants.

    it is such a great movie that i recommend for those of us who love good movies filled with good drama/suspense and comedy, the story line is amazing and will keep you seated till the end i promise, it is also has a lot of stars featuring toyin abraham who owns a blog like ours, williams uchemba, timini, fathia balogun, anto and sir dee from BBA, chiwetu agu, teni the musician, ali nuhu, bimbo akintola,jide kosoko,afeez ayetoro(saka) and odunlade 😂.

    Trust me guys its nice & if you haven't seen it then i recommend it for you as it was also recommended for me, and i promise you would so enjoy it and thank me later😊

    How can I get rid of blackheads, whiteheads and sunburn too( all on my face😞) . It appeared on my face during my last cycle. Now I've got another cycle and it is still on my face most especially those ones that have got no pus inside it.

    I actually got angry and scratched all with my nails, now it has given me blackspots .
    Secondly, I actually thought that since I've been at home, my skin will be glowing but it looks so dull; I'm fair in complexion, was applying almond oil but I don't like how dull and dark my skin is becoming. Any suggestions please...

    I'm just tired of this marriage and i want out.. My wealthy husband doesn't want me to work, i got a job last year and he said i shouldn't accept it that he wants a full housewife and a stay home mom, i told him he must be willing to pay me every month aside from money for housekeep. He put me on salary every month but I'm just so tired and i want to work😭😭. I don't want this marriage again.. I managed to save 45million naira from the money he do give me, I'm planning on contacting a lawyer after lockdown, I'm moving out with my son.

If you ignore seedtime, don't expect a harvest; they go together. Our day to day activities comprise doing something that will bring us a harvest or doing nothing to reap no harvest. The other elements such as cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night exist to enhance our seedtime and harvest.

    My testimony... I was diagnosed of hepatitis b 2018 wen I was pregnant..I cried cos I don't know how I got it.. after my pregnancy I started taking one harbal drugs recommended by a friend..I prayed and ask God to heal us.. Bv God answered my prayers I tested negative de 2 time yesterday doh Dh has not done his own test. Even my doctor was surprise.i just want to tnk God for dis miracle

    I hear people talk about using longrich sanitary pad and panty liners. I have try using it because I have heavy flow but the stuff is not helping matters, I stain on-time.

    The aspects where they say it can take up to 200mile per day and which they say it doesn't get to that for anyone I still cannot understand how people use it and still not complain.

    I feel more comfortable using pads that are not flat, but my complain is that all these locally made pads are not health wise good for the body. Please who has been in my shoes and can now enjoy the longrich pad because I can afford anything good for my health but not enjoying it has been my challenge.

    That one that has rope I don't know what they call it, someone should assist me with the name and advise if is ok to use it health care wise.

    I like his guy but some times I noticed he is being careless with his hygiene. I noticed he has no perfume or body spray and I spoke to him calmly that I noticed you do not wear perfume could it be that your faith in God doesn't allow you to wear one and he said he wears perfumes but has finished the one he has.

    I was in the market the other day and get him one little nice male body spray that can smell nice but I noticed that after two days he has stopped wearing anything called perfumes.

    Both of us spoke about smelling nice, having a good breath, maintaining a good body hygiene but I am worried as he is not working hard to make sure he smells nice when ever he is coming to see me.

    Some times when he comes close to me after going out now that the Lockdown was ease his breath is crazy, I cannot feel comfortable to speak close to him or face him. But in the morning time I noticed he has beautiful breath, I think once he brush his teeth the mouth odor will not be there but intervals are where he has problems.

    How do I also express myself to him, to make him understand that he is not meeting up to expectations. That his bad breath is driving me nuts and could lead to end of friendship? I don't want to sound disrespectful you know how men act.let me help him become a better man even if we do not date at least his gf will enjoy him in future.

    Help a sister with tips let me help this young man.

    The poster of yesterday chronicle reminded me of of my ex frnd back then in Rsu(R.i.p to the frndship).
    After advising this girl to stop telling her husband everything that happens in her family (btw her mom,dad & brother). that's how she told her hubby abt it.d man warned me that very day to my face and told me I'm an evil person.that I want his wife to start hiding things from him.that what do I know abt marriage.(I'm not married).I felt so ashamed of myself it's was as if the ground should open and swallow me.i started apologising immediately even had to lie that it was my Aunt that gave me such advise,that I thought it was a good one.two years letter see finished occurred.the man stopped the mother & brother from coming to the house.he was always using wat she told her abt her family to abuse her constantly.even had to tell it to his mum and other wives which they used it against her during quarrels.(polygamous family)

    That incident thought me a bitter lesson cause I was tagged a hater& jealoused frnd.i always mind my business I don't advise anybody.
    My motto is "take it to God in prayer"( 21 days fasiting)t since that's wat most of u like.nonesense.

    Last 2 years, I had just about three gray hair on my head. Today, almost half of my hair do turn gray. Will I still have any black hair in two years time? Not like I'm old already, just 30. What could be the cause?

      The kind of stuff you apply on your hair causes it too. My bro in law is very fetish. He visits herbalists, prophets and islamic clerics who give him different black soaps and oils which he washes his head with and apply the oils. He is 35, all his hair are almost white and he is almost bald. My hubby that is older than him by far, above 40yrs, only has few Grey hairs

    Good morning everyone. I am so broken, I don’t know how to get over this pain. I have been TTC for two years now. My period was late for four days only for it to come yesterday and I haven’t stopped crying. This pain is too much. The doctors said everything is ok but still I can’t conceive. My husband and I keep getting attacks like making love and eating in the dream. We’ve fasted, midnight prayers and all to no avail. Please help me if you have any solutions. I live in portharcourt
