Saturday In House Gists - Gossiping About Your Spouse/Lover With Friends

The headline says it all and all i wanna do is ask you if you were the 'gossiper'' or the gossiped and what happened when this happened...

Some people tell their friends all about their spouses or lovers and these friends use these 'weapons' given to either try their luck or destroy that relationship/marriage....

One or two women reading this have snatched their friends men and men have snatched their friends women....

Let's gist...

  1. Well, I only gist if there's something to talk about. And it depends on the friend. I have just one friend that I talk about things like that to and it's never the negative.

He's the only friend that can try to boast that he knows my story/gist (but to secrets, I don't tell anyone my secret). My sisters are my best friends.

Long story short, she went behind my back to ruin my image. Told the guy wicked lies about me. Few weeks later, they were dating. When I saw what happened, I was so hurt. I moved on.

Few months down the line, they had a nasty breakup. The guy sent me her voice notes and screenshots of their chats on WhatsApp, where she was badmouthing me. He also pleaded for my forgiveness. Until this moment, I never confronted her. Fear some people o.

  4. i can’t date a lady that takes our affairs or bedroom tales to her friends, over the years i have learnt not to be too friendly with the friends of any girl i’m dating or planning to marry.

Most Women are women’s biggest enemy and most times they always want to be the one happy and doing good, so if a girl goes about bragging or involving her friends in her relationship or marriage, only few women would truly advise you honestly and would want to see your relationship or happiness work, most would use everything you confide with them against you... Have seen and witnessed these scenarios too many times in my friend’s relationship and few marriages around me....Ladies please be wise and learn who to confide in and what to reveal to others🙏🏾

  7. My mother's brother told me that when my mother was in her younger years, she was head over heels in love with this fella and she was super excited each time she was going to visit him in Lagos as her family lived in Ago Iwoye (Ogun state) and she also worked there as a teacher... Mind you, I heard this story from my uncle because my mother passed away when I was a teen.

My mother had this cousin; we'll call her Aunty Jackie. Aunty Jackie was (still is) a stunner. She and my mother were born days apart, were cousins, both "yellow paw-paw", had same taste in men, fashion and the like!

Each time my mother met someone exciting, she'd introduced her cousin and 'bestie', Aunty Jackie!

So, my mother met and was hopelessly in love with this young man, and she was going away to Lagos to spend the weekend with him, Aunty Jackie 'begged' to tag along, my mother said "Why not?"

They'd had a swell weekend; His mother raised him singlehandedly and she was from a very wealthy family in Lagos but my mother hadn't given Aunty Jackie the full gist about his background because she was in for the love and not material gain

Upon arrival at my mother's BF's home, my Aunt Jackie couldn't contain her jealousy! Her countenance changed!

After the weekend had passed they returned to Ago Iwoye. Believe you me, the next time my mother saw her BF, he asked "Why did your best friend return to my house 2days after you both left?" My mother was confused, "How d'you mean?"

Long story short, Aunt Jackie had gone back to my mother's BF's house behind my mother's back and he'd ordered her to leave after which she tried to badmouth my mother. His mother got involved and they both told my mother!

Now, here's the real gist... my mother had since died and Aunty Jackie's husband divorced her and abandoned the kids. She started having an affair with my father!

When I found out and told my Uncle, he told me this story I just shared with you guys and he concluded "I'm not surprised, she's always been like that; She's always wanted what belongs to your mother"

    Sorry about the typo

    11. Life. Few days ago, an ex who I dated 14years ago called me, asking I guess who called him. I mentioned the name of a friend who was in my clique when I was in the university then, and he said yes. I asked what she called for and he said his birthday. I asked further, if she had ever called him on his birthday and I said no and he mentioned he was shocked. I noticed I was getting fussy and I was like, it isn't in my place to be bothered on the call he receives and how that was the duty of his wife. He asked me if I was ok. I said yes, it's just that I would never allow my friend's have access to my boyfriend or husband, same way I would never be close to my close friend's husband. If I need to speak with their husbands, I would do it through the wife

I gave him the instance of a close friend who is always upset with me that I don't have her husband's number saved on my phone.. I always ask her , why do I need his number. If I need to speak with him, I would through you.

I then told my ex about a relationship I had before him. The guy in question wasn't based in Lagos and whenever he comes around, he would mention the names of all the toasters I had, all the trips and parties I went for and how I later discovered it was this same friend that was giving him all these info and how the relationship ended.

To my surprise, he responded by saying, that's the same thing that happened between us. I was so shocked and hurt, even though I this happened about 14years ago, when I was in I think 300level and I was so naive.

My sister would say, never carry your friends to where you bread is being buttered, let them no even know your source, just dey look...

Shout out to all the back stabbers🙌

  9. Stellz Nwanyioma, this is all shades of wrong and risky. Some relationships dabaru because of this.

When I was growing up, used to have a male friend who is so handsome with dimples, a sweet look a whole lot of ladies will die for. Had a boyfriend and I had to introduce them, so they became friends. We are so close that you'll think he's my Bru. I know all his stuff with women and was always warning him about them until it struck.

Went to visit my then boyfriend in Uni and he told me they've been settling my friends case with some bad cult girls in school cos he wanted to play smart. He actually met and started dating one of the girls, older and bad, (smokes like hell, in fact, all them girls). In a bid to impress her,guy man come dey finish work, both in plate washing and the f***king etc (bedmatics). The babe went and told her friends how good my friend is and all hell was let loose. Na so the babes come dey take turns with my friend. It was so bad ,they started having problems with themselves to the extent of threatening to deal with my friend, no be small matter ooo and he was just in year one then.

Lucky him, my then boyfriend had to wedge into the matter as per bad guy that he is. If not, they for fvck my friend die. Haha.

  10. Some men too can be very secretive. Ladies I will advise you not to marry a man that cannot open up to you at the beginning of your relationship cuz he will always remain that way. Married this dude only to find out he’s been married with two kids and did not feel it was important to share the information were his words. I would have actually stayed in the relationship and forgave him but his continuous family interference in my life and his lack of support whenever thye got involved in my business is what irks me. Oh and he’s still so very secretive! Preparing to divorce his ass. As for bragging about partners, nope! Don’t do it. Keep your happiness to yourself.

They both worked at Burger King at the time. There was this young guy who also worked there.

He first caught the attention of the younger sister but they were only talking although she really liked him.

Then the older sister lured him into bed. She told the younger sister how big his manhood was & that was it... and all hell broke loose!

I lived with them at the time... for 3weeks straight, the younger sister refused to communicate with her older sister!

I intervened, they both told me to mind my own business. Their parents intervened but they weren't having any of it!

Then big sister got pregnant and once she informed the guy, he literally warned them both to stay away from him! He was very well aware and he liked how they fed his big ego

  17. Goodness! When I was in school, there was this room mate of mine that was already married then. She was always bad mouthing her husband to us. When I finally met the guy, he looked ok to me. I don't know why my roommate didn't like the guy.
One fine day, the husband had just called her on the phone and when the call ended, she hissed. Her friend who had come visiting now asked her what the problem was. She said, 'Is it not that useless man that calls himself my husband. Obese fool. He doesn't know how to do. Money he no get. I only married him because I got pregnant. And my ex was misbehaving. But now my ex wants me back. I visited him the other day and he said I look sexier now that I am pregnant. Blah blah blah.'
Few minutes later, her husband called again and she put it on the speaker, perhaps to buttress her point. Guy man now said,
' I heard all the glowing complements you had been giving me to your friends.'
Her mouth hung open. Her eyes were popping out of their sockets. My roommate thought she ended the call with out knowing that guy man was listening to all she was saying.
    Na so kasala burst o.
The man said, 'you went to see man? Chei!'
Babe removed it from speaker and ran outside to continue with the call.
I don't know how it was resolved, but babe was sober through out the day.

  18. Most times people always want to get information about people’s marriages just to cause trouble. Some will infer little things here and there to make you open up and use the info against you. Others will criticise you for being too secretive and may even gossip that you are in an abusive relationship because you don’t discuss your spouse with them.

Few weeks later, I saw trad pics of both of them on FB. Apparently he had limited my viewing and only saw them cos he was tagged.

That was the first and last time I involved 3rd parties. Only a few of my close friends know about my love presently and I only involved one cos she has been married for long and very smart with things of the heart.

Both of them advised me and the husband even prayed since I was so worried . The next day the wife called me on phone to tell me that her hubby is worse and on top of that he treats her like a dull subordinate, she told me she sees how my hubby worships me that I should pray to God to help me with my concerns with my hubby...she told me never to take such a matter to anyone as the devil could use that as an entrance into our beautiful marriage! She said she was laughing in her heart when her hubby was praying for me! The Devil himself!!!! Anyway I was really shocked Cos I thought I knew them 100% apparently not! I finally found the nerve to tell hubby I had opened up to that family about him and this was my fear blahblah he wasn’t happy but we have sorted all that out!!! I didn’t have a bad experience however, God opened eyes to stop being naive!!!!

One male friend/ frenemy was always talking about his wife’s shortcomings and badmouthing his in-laws. Those were the initial red flags for me that he was going to a bad friend but because I’m a woman I thought he was better than female friends. He ended up as one of the most evil friends I ever had in my adult life. Lesson learned.

  31. I once slept with my friend's boyfriend, shortly after secondary School.
The boy was very handsome and lived in my neighborhood.
Boredom led me to visit him often- we talked about so many things. I was crushing. So was he. One-day, we kissed, smooched and almost did it- I just wasn't ready to give up my virginity.
I ran back home and stopped going there. I felt guilty. Not for once did I ever bad-mouth my friend. Soon, his friend started toasting me. I totally declined, so he told my friend how I had been visiting her boyfriend everday- she knew I used to visit but didn't know how often. He also told her I slept with the guy. Well I told her the truth and her boyfriend tried to tell her but she had stopped talking to him. Somehow we all settled. I had my own boyfriend, a hottie I was crazy about and gave up my virginity to. My friend was aware. I thought she was happy for me. Soon she started telling tales about me to my boyfriend, adviced him to dump me and even introduced another friend of ours to him- that one had been crushing on him and shebi I used to tell them how my guy trips me.
Well, after all these I learnt my lessons. I don't smile at the love interest of any person I know. I don't talk about my relationship. And i don't poke into that of others. I have peace.

  33. Envious friends are worse than an enemy. Please keep your relationship and marriage to yourself. Talk to God personally. Pastor or friends cannot help you don't give them such power over your life
