Oh my love for moin moin; I'll be making it next weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm having 3 slices of bread with two table spoons of stew and one meat.
DeleteA cup of lipton tea, plus milk of course.
No sugar.
DeleteI'm still resting for now..will be having lemon + lemon grass tea ☕☕ soon
ReplyDeleteIt's been long I took this, how are you Paris?
DeleteMelancholy
Breakfast is hot oil rice garnished with smoked fish... to be washed down with a chilled bottle of coke..
ReplyDeleteI can never get tired of this combination.
Hahahahahaha, see my partner.
DeleteThat’s actually my best .
Which one is oil rice again?
DeleteComman tell me o
Correct babe @sluttychic
Delete@the yorubachic, its made with palm oil check out this recipe👇🏽
INGREDIENTS:
*2 cups of rice
*Smoked fish of any type
*1-2 cooking spoons of palm oil
*1 small onion, chopped
*3tbsp ground crayfish
*Salt
*Seasoning
* Pepper mix (tatashe(Red bell pepper), ata rodo (scotch bonnet chilli), tomato and onions blended)
* Wash rice and set aside, if you want to parboil the rice, you can do so.
* Place a pan medium heat, add palm oil and heat for about 5 minutes but don’t bleach
*Add chopped onions and fry till translucent, add the pepper mix and crayfish, seasoning and salt and cook till oil floats on top of the sauce.
*Add rice to the sauce and stir to combine, add water to cover the rice by 1 inch and reduce the heat. Do keep an eye on the rice, add water if required.
* Cook rice on low heat till it’s almost soft, (add water to rice a little at a time as at when needed) check for salt and seasoning, add the smoked fish and stir carefully to combine.Continue cooking till rice is soft but not soggy. Take it off the heat and set aside to cool.

Exactly what I ate now.
DeleteI already ate 2 pieces of Avocado pear and an apple.
ReplyDeletePreparing just a pack of noodle and fried egg.
I have never baked Moin Moin before. Hope to try it out soonest.
Having Moi Moi and oats at the moment.
ReplyDeleteAfter that, I will feed my bed.
I've become so lazy. Moin moin used to be every other week for me can't remember the last time I prepared it. Never baked. Still in bed. No either what to eat and hunger is already scattering my stomach. The thing with this kind of hunger is that you just eat anything you see (unhealthy).
ReplyDelete*No idea. 🤦🏾♀️
ReplyDeleteMama stella..how do you make your ginger tea?
ReplyDeleteGood morning beautiful blog visitors! Your day is blessed🙏🏾.
ReplyDeleteMy Oven baked Moin Moin was moist, but one has to be careful if not it will get dry and crispy at the edge.
Also, using a smaller pan so that the Moin Moin will not over stay in the Oven( I tend to use Muffin Pan).place in the middle of preheated Oven and bake for 30 minutes.
You can use any pan, but big pan will take longer to cook and making it dry at the edges.
When I baked it in a foil pack & one leaf(depending on the container that I are using, it does not dry out at the edges).
That dry one is the one I like. It will now taste like Ankara😋
DeleteAkara and akamu got me this morning.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love pap with plenty powdered and liquid milk running over.
I love cakes and my aunty tried out one yesterday and it turned out perfect.
Can't wait to try baking in my mother's house once this pandemic is over with an alternative to oven.
I will probably prepare Yam and egg this morning.
ReplyDeleteStellz try it out,you would totally love it....... No breakfast for me. I am on OMAD and would be eating by 3pm. Lost 2kg this week 💃💃
ReplyDeleteNo apetite yet. Just lemon grass +ginger+honey tea for now. Later, will do wicked shoko soup laced with seafood and amala.
ReplyDeleteWhats it with lemon grass people take now?is it a cure to corona virus or a weight loss tip?lemon is so expensive now.
Delete@ prettyface, Lemongrass is used for treating some digestive tract spasms, stomach pain, vomiting, cough, joints pain (rheumatism), fever, the common cold, and fatigue.
DeleteI prefer the Lemongrass Powder or dried leaves.
Nothing for now but I will go for rice and beans with stew later
ReplyDeleteLeft over jollof rice and a satchet of water...
ReplyDeleteAkara and bread
ReplyDeleteOh stella, the taste was everything. kept the remaining in the fridge, microwave in the morning and take with tea
ReplyDeleteNo appetite for food. This pregnancy is really dealing with me. I now hate food due to fear of throwing up. God help me
ReplyDeletePele, don't worry,it will pass
DeleteRice and stew
ReplyDeleteBaked moimoi is easier for me to make. I use foil plates and ramekin dish(they should be covered). Just make sure you keep some water in a pan in the oven before you preheat. Leave it in while the moimoi is baking. It keeps it moist and egdes do not dry out. I use this technique too when baking cake.
ReplyDeleteNo breakfast for me,fasting today,its been a while,hear me lord I pray
ReplyDeleteNothing yet. Just finished working out now breastfeeding baby. Will have oats as usual by 12. Currently doing intermittent fasting
ReplyDeleteBeans and pap,for me
ReplyDeleteIt's good to start eating breakfast after few days of fasting. I'm having egg, fried Irish potatoes and tea
ReplyDeleteI had spaghetti. I used sliced tomatoes, spring onions, green pepper, carrots, mashed Titus fish, and garlic. It was really yummy.
ReplyDeleteAte rice with eforiro made with green and not shorkor,oh lord...
ReplyDeleteNkechi
No breakfast yet, plan to eat by 3
ReplyDeleteWill be making moimoi with spring onion titus fish and egg later.
I had indomie and bread.
ReplyDeleteLeft over rice and goat meat pepper soup.
ReplyDeleteStella that your imaginary breakfast got me salivating here o🙄😅 Choi!. Coro has made it possible for intentional and measured eating abi na feeding self😂.
ReplyDeleteAnyways for breakfast am having Nothing-a-lacarte-Water-Nothing.
Hmmm... so yummy
#LOVE😍
Yes,I did bake Moin Moin one time and it was the last, because it turned out too dry.I guess the oven dried out the liquid as against steaming that cooks with vapour.
ReplyDeleteI am a moon moin addict.
