Maybe there are women who are built to cope with beating. Women from past generations saw it as normal even in todays villages their men beat them to "correct" them as if they are not adults. For me, you only need to say "I will slap you" and I will pee on myself.

We never knew she was getting severe beatings until she called from the hospital with her last breathe. She and her unborn child died a few days later. Turns out she had been receiving beatings for over four years and only her pastor and his mother knew. When they did an autopsy her bones had severe trauma with some still healing. This man is walking free today and dumped her twin girls are living with my besties mother.
