ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of pressure you put on yourself in your 20s but like she said there is no fixed time for everyone. I actually thought I would be married before 24 have my own company before 26. You can't help but set a milestone for yourself in your head with a mental timeframe but Life isn't like that. Everything I ever wanted came about when I clocked the BIG 30 and since then it sort of ease into place without stress.

Delete19:53 I already had a good job at 24. I never said I was job hunting. Having a company isn't done simply because you have the wherewithal for it. You just don't take the plunge for such a huge responsibility which needs excessive planning. There are a lot of factors you need to put into consideration else such projects crumbles before it gets
off the ground.

ReplyDeleteThe society also puts pressure on you, as a woman it is expected that you get married at 25/30 instead of thinking of how to be productive and useful to the society all you think of all day is a man that will come and rescue you from your financial captivity (if there is anything like that), I have decided that I will not time myself when it comes to marriage, the are better and other things I can achieve than being a burden to a man in the name of marriage, sometimes I cry and ask myself why I haven't achieved some goals or why I haven't gotten to a particular point,I have decided that I won't put unnecessary pressure on myself.

DeleteI hail BV Martin too, he taught me how I got mine 4 years ago or so. Imagine how kind he is to keep teaching many of us too here over and over again a million times without ever getting upset or reffering us back to his previous lessons.
