Man Who Battered Wife And Posted Photos Daring Her To Call The Police Has Been Arrested

The Domestic And S'xual Violence Response Team(DSVRT), Lagos has confirmed the arrest of Mr Afobaje Maiyegun who boasted on Facebook that he battered his wife and dared the police to arrest him.


The development was announced on the official twitter page of DSVRT and the culprit is set to be charged to court.

      I'm just coming from his page. I don't believe he posted it. Maybe he has been doing it for long and someone decided to expose him to the world. He is an illiterate and might not even know when they did it on his page. The blood on the floor and the deep wound on her chest got me screaming.
      Relatives and friends would mount pressure on her to beg them to release her horseband, trust Naija woman, she will beg and cry for his release. And of course, she will remain in his house. 'I must die a Mrs' gang.

      She will even make silly excuses for him,like he never meant to hit her that hard,until she ends up dead..
      This made me so sad,because it reminded me of my sister,in as much as I'm trying to forget, stories like this makes it difficult..
      If she had left maybe she will still be alive today...

    I am dealing with one here. My next door Oyinbo neighbours, her husband is like this. We called police and he left the house. She took him back after one week despite all the counselling and assistance everyone gave her. It's not as if the man is even responsible. All of us know that she will be carried out in a box soon. We are just sorry for their 5 children.
