Jobs And Businesses And Life After COVID 19

Let us sit for a bit on the couch and tackle some reality....

The Coronavirus pandemic has altered a lot of lives,Businesses and Jobs...........

Those of you with Jobs,do you think you would have a Job after the COVID 19 pandemic has been eradicated? Will your business still be up and running? If you are an employer, will you be letting go of old staff and getting new ones?if yes, why?

It will not be easy at all....I watched a video of the MD of a Bank in Nigeria explaining that a lot of staff will be let go and he stated his reasons.....

Some people were building, renting, moving et al before the lockdown......
After the lockdown, things will become more expensive and life will not be the same,How prepared are you for the new changes ahead?

One thing is sure, life will not be the same all over the World.

  7. Obviously, things would not be the same after the lockdown as Jobs would be lost and contract of engagement renegotiated. Its going to be a difficult time for most businesses,as production has ceased and machines broken down due to long period of inactivity.Business activities would gradually come to live, although with government push. All sectors of the economy have been impacted negatively, precipitating a likely recession. It would be a tall order for the country to quickly recover from the devastating effect of COVID-19.The government has a huge responsibility now to provide stimulus to reinvigorate industries in order to resuscitate to economy. But as it stands now, recession is inevitable!

  8. I make clothes for sale I.e ready to wear. As at January, some of the materials I use were already getting scarce. The fabric I mostly use is produced in Nigeria, but some of the equipment and raw materials come from China. We could already tell that there were issues. China has a big part to play in my Industry.

Now that China is recovering from Covid 19,Protective gears, facemasks, etc will have to be produced locally, so It has provided jobs for Nigerian tailors, Jobs that ordinarily would have been imported from China. The only downside is that some of our fellow Nigerians want to underpay us as per 'na we we'

I hope to go into animation or something media related before the middle of the year. Finding the small niche between fashion and media.."Maybe I go blow finally "

  10. I'm just chilling for now, not in hurry to work for at least till end of summer (around September) but I'm hoping not to be idle till the end of the year..oh! That won't be good for me indeed, as I'm bored already sitting at home, doing nothing with my mind or keeping busy mentally. It doesn't matter to me financially as I'm covered & received a good lump sum pay off & will also receive nice extra monthly allowance of $4800 for 18 months period.

I pray the corona will be eradicated soon!!!πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
I pray that life return back to normal. The worst thing for me now is the constant fear & caution of going out in public places like shops etc, mingling with the crowd, touching random things.

  12. I have a job that gives me good commission. Post Covid, I'll dust myself and brace up to the challenges of running my own business and make it successful. After the pandemic I'm sure Nigeria will be different, positively ready to face growth.

  18. I have put all in God's hands. He is faithful to see me through. So many pending ecpenses/ bills. Agbanilagbatan please come through for me. A week from now with a lot of safety cautions I will reopen my shop and gradually shift to frozen foods business from my current. I know He will come through for me especially for the sake of my children. It is well.

  19. Business is more than dry oo, no makeup/gele, no fixing of lashes/nails, sales of body cream and other beauty products have dropped drastically, I'm surviving by the grace of God. But after now I will love to go into wholesale of hair extension and beauty products.

  20. Business was dull today. People were just passing and looking at me. Maybe they are scared of buying cooked food. I'm thinking of using the small raw foodstuff that is remaining and start a food stuff business but there is no where to display them for sale. The space I use for cooked food is an open space in front of someone's shop on the street and our agreement was to sell food from early morning till 12:pm latest and leave, no form of structure is allowed there. Back home, two of my neighbours are already selling food stuff. One has a container in front of the house selling everything including pepper, the other one sells provision and foodstuff too in a shop attached to the house. Will it be wise to announce that I also sell raw foodstuff? I'm just thinking here.

  21. Life has been good. Currently pulling $4000 per week. I broke up with my gf. No weapon fashioned against my new fortune shall prosper. Ditched my car to remain low before my people start disturbing with tales of woes for financial support. God is good
