Yes I will send #900k back
ReplyDeleteExactly, I will send it back. My conscience will prick me, besides I won't burn the "bridge" that helped me.
DeleteOf cos I will immediately.
DeleteWill definitely send the money back.
DeleteDefinately, immediately. I wont even wait to be told
DeleteI will refund without thinking twice,
Delete#thoushallnotsteal
This reminds me of a wedding I served as MC some years ago, the groom credited my account with thrice what we agreed as pay!
DeleteI sharparly called the bride who originally contacted me to do the job and refunded the balance to them.
Executed my job and got a lovely thank you text from them.
@candy ..very true when you prove smart and fast you burn the bridge ...
DeleteYes! Yes!! Yes!!!
DeleteKia KIA. Fast fast. May l not use my hands to block my path of blessing.
DeleteAnon 18:47, exactly. I believe there will be a next time, not necessarily financial assistance. He/she might know someone in a position to help. Imagine if one now "chops"the money, and cleans moutb.
DeleteWill send it back without thinking twice.
DeleteBack to sender
DeleteAll this yes yes am seeing here, na who come b d thief's who walk away with pples monies now?
DeleteSocial media where all souls r saints. Hissss
I don't use any stupid online banking apps till today, got burnt in 2015 the BEAST refused to refund, bank kept asking I call him and talk it out.
DeleteI ask again na WHO b d pple wey dey chop over credited money?
Return it back immediately, I was once overpaid at the bank, I had to return it immediately after counting it properly, the lady at the counter was surprised.
DeletePerhaps the thrives don't want to expose themselves so have kept quiet
DeleteMake una talk true o,as for me I will refund.
ReplyDeleteSend wetin back?
DeleteWhen i no de crase???
Na pikin wey don chop belle full de carry spoon full of rice jam nose.
We'd share that money 40/60.
I'd return 60% and keep 40%. I no try???
Lol..... *kidding*
I have mistakenly sent a vendor money in excess of what his bill was. I didn't even notice and travelled and didn't roam my line for 2months. When I came back his call was the first to come in. He was even angry that for over 2months he has been trying my line a minimum of 3x daily. Now, this is not a "rich" business man that has a reputation to protect o. In fact it was after the call that I checked my bank sms and found that truly I over paid him with two zeros!
DeleteThere are a lot of sincer people in Nigera and I believe its only a handful that is giving us the bad name. Again peopl like sharing bad experiences more than good ones. My husband was so impressed with him and doesn't joke with that guy. We footed like 70% of his wedding expenses.
@MacBeth, l know you ain’t kidding.
DeleteIf you like, keep what doesn’t belong to you.
When you need help again, Shane nor go allow you call that person you 40:60ed.
You sef, talk true o!
DeleteMind reader.
DeleteWhen u need help again?? Ive never asked for help on the internet.
Why keep what's not mine... ?
ReplyDeleteOne time my hommie sent me x2 of what he was supposed to refund me for an errand ,
Well I called him to say his banker credited my acc twice and he was surprised but asked me to keep the excess as a just because present .
I will return it because that will be stealing and if I don't, I will spoil the relationship between me and the helper.
DeleteFor someone to help you,it means they love to help and keeping the money will spoil things for me and for other people they might want to help in future.
well i don't have a dubious mind so i'll definitely return it
ReplyDeleteI will return it.
DeleteYes I will refund
ReplyDeletePerson thing is not mine so I'll return it asap.
DeleteYes I will refund it immediately...
ReplyDeleteI will definitely refund.
ReplyDeleteI will wholeheartedly return it to the sender.
ReplyDeleteI am of the firm belief that 'ihe akutara n'akuku ite na ala n'akuku onu' Ask your Igbo neighbour for interpretation.
From the corner of the pot to the corner of your mouth. Meaning stolen things never gives satisfaction.
DeleteBah?
I will surely refund it.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I will refund with immediate effect even before they'll notice their mistake.
ReplyDeleteHow will u get the account number? 😏 or u wan resend am to yours!? Ikwakwakwakwakwa
DeleteKelvin Dat Edo Boi (Stellz Cousin)
So, when someone send you money, your bank doesn't keep their details?
DeleteStop acting smart with your senseless question Kelvin!
Sometimes they wanna test you😏
ReplyDeleteBut some will still fall and not refund😶
As for me I'll refund because my conscience won't even let me sleep well at night🙂
It takes nothing to be good👌
I like that, "it takes nothing to be good"
DeleteYes! Because it comes naturally to me. I had returned the latest iPhone I saw at the park before. It was with me for a week while I had to beg the owner who seemed nonchalant about it to come to pick it up.
ReplyDeleteWhy not?
ReplyDeleteI'll refund sharply.
with all honesty i will, if you doubt me, you can find out.
ReplyDelete🤔
Delete🤔🤔🤔
DeleteI will definitely return the money
ReplyDeleteI will refund before the person asks. Don't burn bridges too soon. If they can give 100K they are worth having for a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteYou refund sharp sharp.. No stories
ReplyDeleteI will refund it without thinking twice.
ReplyDeleteYes I will refund it. I will be heartless and an ingrate not to.
ReplyDeleteI’ll refund.
ReplyDeleteWill definitely return the extra
ReplyDeleteOf course, would send back the 900k.
ReplyDeleteI will because that's the noble thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI've been mistakenly credited by someone I didn't know. This was way back when I was still in school. The person even sent me an SMS saying they had paid in 150k to my account. I called the person to verify, turned out it was all a mix up. I sent his money back.
ReplyDeleteThis was when I was a broke student that didn't have to to 50k in my account, how much more now. I've been friends with that person till date.
God bless you for that.
DeleteI will gladly refund Back to owner
ReplyDeleteI certainly will.
ReplyDeleteSomeone mistakenly wired a large sum of money into my account. I went to the bank and told them. I will not.
Yes, I will refund it without thinking twice
ReplyDeleteSurely,I will refund it.
ReplyDeleteA good name is better riches.
I will o
ReplyDeleteI once picked up a wallet like hand bag inside a taxi. I don't know what the woman was thinking. I know it was hers after she had dropped, for it was just the both of us at the back. It was a Sunday morning. I thought about giving it to the driver but on a second thought I said no. I went home with it. On opening it, I counted a huge amount of money over 60,000 inside and saw another white envelope titled tithe with 20,000 inside and an Iphone inside the bag too.
ReplyDeleteI kept it on and after a while call came in. I picked and the caller introduced herself as the owner. I gave her address to meet me. Few minutes later, she came with a man I found out was her husband. I gave them everything intact and they took my number and account details. So happy they left. Even though till date I didn't hear again from them, I still count my action as commendable and a good one.
I have never taken a thing that's not mine and will never do. So to the question, I will return it.
That was nice of you, TEEJAY.
DeleteWow, so nice.......
DeleteBut how did she get your number to be able to call you though??
Cookie the lady called the iPhone in the bag not Teejays phone
DeleteYes, I will send back 900k to the person
ReplyDeleteI will return it with joy and gladness.
ReplyDeleteThis post makes me bv ladyport, been long I saw her comment.
I'm here darling
DeleteHow is Kaduna or is it Jos? I have forgotten which of the Northern states you reside in.
Yes I will
ReplyDeleteSomeone I did not know transfer 40k to my account last year, I did not spend the money I had to keep the money in my account.
The person later called me and I transfered it back to his account
as simple as this
DeleteBut some people would consider it manner from above!!!
What kinda manner is this ? How can someone's mistake be a blessing ?
Of course, I will refund the rest back to the owner.
ReplyDeleteImmediately. I won't even wait a second
ReplyDeleteOf course I will refund the money asap.
ReplyDeleteI can't take someone's property either money, cloth or whatever. Not in my DNA. So in this case, I'll return it.
ReplyDeleteYimu at some people on here chanting “refund” “refund”.
ReplyDeleteSearch yourself
Would you TRULY refund?
You sound guilty though.
DeleteLewl Anon
DeleteYou know my question is the truth and not about guilt.
I will surely return the excess 900k. I've done it several times and I will keep doing it. The inner peace and satisfaction that comes with it cannot be quantified.
ReplyDeleteI read about you recently 👏🏽
DeleteHonesty and kindness truly pays .
I got a credit alert in my email of N3,300 (Three Thousand Three hundred Naira only), I will go to Access Bank on Monday to inform them so as to trace the person who mistakenly transfered the money to me. It's always good to refund such money
ReplyDelete😭😭 2 days ago I missed a number by typing 4 instead of 5 was trying to gift someone data 10gig but sent it to a wrong number lool
DeleteI didnt call the bank cos I doubt there's something that could be done so I just said to myself good luck to the recipient. Lool
You have to go? With Covid-19 pandemic? Can't you call the bank to fix it?
DeleteYes I'll refund. It's not my money.
ReplyDeleteAny action that will hurt my fellow human or make him cry,I jump and pass.
ReplyDeleteI will send the money back, cos I will never have rest knowing too well ,someone is crying and cursing.
I rather choose to be blessed than cursed
your first line 🤗😚🤗
DeleteVery refreshing to read.
Yes I'll refund it. Only thieves, ingrates and the greedy see that as an opportunity to enrich themselves.
ReplyDeleteYes, I will.
ReplyDeleteThis story might not be related but let me share all the same.
I had to buy noodles sometime back. The owner of the shop was busy with another customer, so her daughter attended to me. It was supposed to be four sachets(or whatever it's called), but when I collected the nylon to put into the bag I was with,I saw five. I turned and faced the owner of the shop, by then her customer had left and asked her, if the noodles wasn't supposed to be four. She was like "ehn ehn". I then told her, her daughter sold five instead. I returned one and turned to leave. She was so grateful and kept saying words of prayer. But in my own mind I was like, "what is it gaan? Shebi I returned just a sachet". Then she made a statement I can't forget till tomorrow. She said, "So there are still good youth in this Nigeria".
cos some people wouldn't return it .
DeleteThey'd see it as their gain.
I will return it without thinking twice, I don't see why I should even think self.
ReplyDeleteI will return it once i get the account to refund it to but if its my boyfriend i will collect commission o 😀
ReplyDeleteSo, who were the people on this blog that used to steal money from their husband’s pockets, wallets, roommates etc. who are those that used to steal meat from pot??
ReplyDeleteWho are those that billed their husbands double school fees?
Everyone don turn saints.
😂🤣😂🤣😂
DeleteI was so so certain that a comment like this would be posted 😂😂😂
I was scrolling gently and I wasn't wrong.
Why not say yours and stop crying over other people's comment.
DeleteLMAOOOO!!!!!!!!!
DeleteIts only when dealing with majority of people shouting "I will refund it" then u will know there true color. I am not bashing another but poverty don condition our mind for 9ja

DeleteGreed
Definitely yes! A curse will be on any ingrate who refuses to return.
ReplyDeleteI will return it. I can’t come and have hbp on top of money that is not mine .
ReplyDeleteI will return it. My peace of mind is key.
ReplyDeleteLovelace
I will return the 90000
ReplyDeleteReturned since yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI would return it. Surely
ReplyDeleteI transacted with a man I have never met. So I transferred approximately 4M to his account ( the one I normally use) and then I called to say I have transferred to this account. He said he had stopped using the account. That the money would be reversed.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I pinched myself whether I was awake or twas a bad dream. OMG! I waited 2 days nothing, I called my bank they said the money has left already. I asked what I was supposed to do, maybe write an indemnity or get a court order.
But I weighted the options, the court order would require that I print my account details and police it the registrar would read it, make these people no come trace me oh, if I write an indemnity and the money reverses I have maligned someone's reputation.
I called both parties again ( my bank and the man) no positive response.
Another week was going to end like that, someone is making profit off my money.
I remembered what someone posted about mailing CBN and copying the banks in context. I just called my bank again and I told them that this is what I'm doing to do. Somehow I believed the man.
I went to the rest room before I could get back to my desk, I saw a reversal.
My week ended on a good note. There are very many honest Nigerians I have encountered so many.
In my life, I have done business with only one dishonest person. I have been repaid badly only once, that was when I was about 12 years old. I brought a stranger home and he stole from my parents, but my dad never scolded me for bringing him home. I wonder if I would be a wonderful parent to my kids.
You are a great guy. And you’ll be a great friend too.
DeleteBack then in school, my neighbor went to the bank and saw an huge amount about 140k (2007). He called me on phone that he got this money in his account that I should come and take some. I told him that he should go back the bank and ask them who paid it, he refused. He said he would even close the account( 🤣🤣). I said, well I'm not going to be part of your loot enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSome weeks later he called, he said "did you remember that money that I told you about?" I said, Yes.
That money was for my scholarship that I got! but I needed to give someone a kickback for his assistance!(🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪). Chai! I don blow that money finish.
I really had a great laugh.
I hope he learnt a lesson that day.
Yes I will return the money without thinking twice because it will be paying back good with evil for me to keep that money and again I may need his/her help next time.
DeleteIn my line of business it has happened several times during transactions...most people in a haste make the mistake of adding an extra zero without realising it,10k worth of data turns to 100k alert and even during cryptocurrency transactions.
ReplyDeleteon one occasion,a lady who mistakenly added an extra zero during our transaction was shocked because i immediately called her attention by just simply requesting for her account details and she said she wouldn’t have known or realized later and it was her first time of consulting me to supply all her teachers of a private school data of various networks in bulk, to cut the long story short, she insisted on me keeping an extra 30k even after i told her it wasn’t necessary but she insisted, and i accepted and used it to buy foodstuffs worth the amount and even added a little to it,so it would be enough to share to few residents on my street, and they were extremely grateful, they were praying for me and i felt kinda embarrassed/shy about it tbh. Since then the principal of the private school has been patronizing me and referring me to others😊 and even her own teachers have also be giving me good referrals.
IT PAYS TO BE GOOD
Forgive my epistle🙏🏾
You did well. God bless you
DeleteYes steel, i will returned it with joy
DeleteAbi you didn't read where an iPhone was found in the bag too? The owner simply called her own line and voila!!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, this exact thing happened to me during the lockdown. My dad asked me to transfer N30k to a cousin of his and the account was the woman's sons account. Mistakenly transferred N300k and the boy just went to town after giving his mum the N30k!!!. That boy na real crook, bcos he claimed he gave it all to his mum, and the poor woman almost cried when she heard. Eventually when I finally got him to confess, he had already spent N120k out of the excess N270k. I've got N150k back now after threatening him with police arrest, and I must collect every remaining kobo. Nobody dey chop my hard earned dough and go scot free.
ReplyDeleteI will refund it immediately.
ReplyDeleteThese comments are very funny walahi??Nigerians?I swear by d Quran that I will refund it asap,it once happened to me,a business deal I was involved in the past,I got 80 percent of more than my share,I quickly returned it
