Wednesday In House News

Woman crush Wednesday is still here and I am still crushing on myself....lol

FROM BLOG VISITOR LIVING IN KANO

Hmmmmmm a lot is happening here, truly people are dying.
first we live around ignorant abokis, you wont believe some of them are doubting the existence of corona-virus. presently they are living their normal lives. they eat together in their 20s and 30s as usual when breaking their Ramadan fast

Secondly, i called my doctor a gynecologist yesterday and the he told me,there are no protective kits given to doctors and that he had to buy with his money and that he has just one left after that he would not go to the hospital again. i thought of women that may want to deliver especially through CS and i cried. most hospitals are closed now, doctors and nurses ran away. leaving people to their fate, even for ordinary sicknesses you hardly find a doctor now.

Thirdly, people are so afraid, especially the southerners living here i need to get groceries but i don't even know what to do about it sef. i dread stepping out of my house. some areas are not even observing the lock down.

Na wah oh.....I cannot even imagine what the situation there is like!!!

MADAM TOK TOK DON LAND

We all want to talk to someone when we are confused, afraid or in pains. Our children are not an exception, as they grow up they go through series of challenges and they wish to talk to someone. It is important that parents especially mothers are the confidants of their children but this most times isn’t the case.

Children would not open up to their parents unless we offer them an attentive ear and a wide open, accepting space. Provide an enabling atmosphere for your children to tell you their deepest fears and agitations. Adolescents and teens tend to be secretive and don’t want probing parents but we can let them know through our words and actions that we are wide open, non-judgmental, and ready to hear them. It’s inappropriate for a girl to learn how to fix a pad for her first monthly menstrual cycle from a different person other than her mother.

Never assume you know your child from afar. Break the walls that has prevented you from knowing who your adolescents truly are. Where you present yourself as a very prefect person who makes no mistakes it becomes very difficult for your children to confide in you, but where you tell them your mistakes, shortcoming and other reckless things you have done they would confide in you knowing you won’t judge them.

Na God hand e dey......

That series should be the best Nigerian series ever. See that lady with Beverly naya's voice. Her acting may not be topnotch but her voice and accent, OMG!!!

That's the only surgery I wouldn't mind doing if it means I can get that accent.

And u see that Ayoola guy ehn, easily one of the best Nigerian actors currently

    1. But you said that in America they are over reporting the deaths. If that is true, then it isn't so so bad na. Abi I no understand. You said Corona isn't as bad as the Seasonal flu experienced in America. If you are right then really Nigeria doesn't have to be really afraid. After I read your comment I relaxed a bit and said maybe is just media hype that is making the thing seem so bad.

People are supposedly indoors at the moment yet we have increasing number of cases how much more when people start going out.
Baba God na your hand we dey o.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes o. Only God can help us now as it is. I know people are hungry but lifting the lockdown especially in places like Lagos is not the best thing to do right now. Instead government should look for ways to keep people indoors by providing palliatives that will go round . They can afford it if trully they want to.

      Delete
    2. Let's tell ourselves the truth. People are not indoors. In fact, people are entering the East from Lagos and some other places every day. I know about that of Lagos!

  17. What's happening in Kano is really pathetic. The Governor has all the time in the world to prepare ahead but he refused instead he was waiting for 15billion from federal government. When people started dying in hundreds instead of coming out to say the truth and advice his people to maintain social distancing and take precautions he lied again that malaria and hypertension was responsible for 640 deaths over 6days. I pray they're able to combat the situation before it will spread to other part of the north and becomes a total disaster.

  18. Get a boo like my boo
Cos if your boo is not like my boo
I dunno if your boo is a boo

    Remember this my favourite poem?????
    Lol.

My boo is really a boo.

I can't believe I'm a landlady here. It's so surreal. I'm still trying to process it.

Honestly, I dunno what I did to deserve that man. I must have been a perfect being in my perfect life or something.

You see that my poem, no lie there at all.

Let me explain something. When we were trying to get the mortgage for this apartment, we went to his own bank and they were giving us a cheaper mortgage interest but he was advised to apply as a single person for now (meaning I won't be a part owner). They said it was because I wasn't working and they would add me to his liability and bla bla bla. But my boo wouldn't have that. We went to another bank that gave us a higher mortgage interest (meaning we'd pay more than what he was offered at his bank). My husband said as long as my name would be on it, that's the one he will be taking. He didn't care that he had to pay more. Men, isn't that an amazing person.

    How did I deserve him???

Best thing is that it came unfurnished, so I have to decorate myself. I have picked out everything already. Can't wait to see how my house will turn out 😊😊😊😊😊

Stella sef talk am, say the pictures of the house fine. Really love. Our own very little home.

    4. Amen. You guys should keep praying for us. I'm in the office presently, and some of these people are not even using mask.
Me, I jejely wear my hand glove, face mask plus my eye glass o. If anyone touches my biro, stapler, use my printer, PC, etc I use sanitiser to clean o. Above all, we are in God's hand, He will not leave nor forsake us.

One Barr died yesterday in one private hospital in Kano, they said he was coughing. My hausa colleague is sick, lost his elder brother this morning, and people must gather for their prayers.
My boss called to inform me that the man should take his time to recover well before resuming o.

Gaskiya people are leaving in fear here, even my church member that died, I have not gone to see the woman as no one knows the cause of his death. Some said heart failure since the wife said the man's breathing was somehow before he died, the corpse is now in Anambra State. May God comfort them and protect us too. Amen

All that's going on in my mind.,
what if I call them and put someone in the state of depression or HBP?

  31. I wonder why my sister is just been unnecessarily mean to me 😢😢. it's 1pm and we are yet to eat breakfast. The food is almost done on the fire so I decided to take mine like that because I couldn't wait anymore (If I don't eat on time, I always have stomach ache and feel very weak as though I could faint anytime). only for her to scream at me that I must not touch the food and I should wait till its done. I ended up taking the Garri I didn't want to eat because of my eye issues.

I'm sitting here crying what I've done to deserve siblings (especially my sister) that scream at every little thing I do. I'm almost done with school and yet she treats me with no regards, insult me at the littlest things that's not worth anything.

I get that we grew up in a mean environment, veryyyy mean home. I didnt like anything about it so I decided I was not going to mean as them. I don't know why she does not see anything wrong with our uobrininging and has decided carry that mean trait. I try to be as calm as possible but then her shouting and screaming just get to me and I also have to shout back at times. The difference between us is just 4 years.

I really can't wait to leave this toxic environment, it's not fit for me at all, it's just really weighs me down and clouds my head.

I hate toxic people and toxic places, I avoid them like a plague and stay away from them only that the toxic people this time is my family. I'm tired.

pls this is not to make me look like the best sibling or the best child you can have, I've had my own fair share of toxicity years before now and I've seen that it does not help anyone.
I wonder why they don't see that way too 😖😖

    3. Anon 14.29,

Mean aside, you said the food was almost ready; couldn't you have waited till it was reađy before taking yours?

You seem to me as one who is so self absorbed to the point you do not see how your actions rob off on the other and cry foul when called out for it e.g. you selfishly went to get food from the pot that was almost ready(according to you), she scolded you for it and you're here talking about your stomach.

When you woke up, what did you do in the house to make food ready on time? Do you help out in the house or leave it to your elder sister?

From your narrative, she seems to be the only one doing everything while you do nothing so, start with rendering some help to her and see if she won't treat you differently.

You wake up, balance and wait for food. She cooked the food, twas almost ready, you went to take out of it..that's very bad. You don't do that. You wait till food is ready. Please, don't do it next time.

You should apologise to her for that singular act.

      Cheers.

    4. This your comment reminds me of my very entitled friend she won't cook but will be the first to go and dish her food when it's ready and she scraps the top part while you need up with the bottom part. She won't take the food from the side. That is a bad habit. When you aren't the one who cooked the meal from the first stage to the last you have no right to put your hand in it first. Let the people who cooked it dish theirs then you can stand up and down whatever you want.

  32. Most comments in yesterday chronicles suggested that the poster hang out. Meet friends etc. I am almost in her shoes. Mine is even worst. At least she has a man friend even though he is not in Nigeria. 40yrs this month. No man anywhere to call mine. I attend a small church of 30 members. Every male in the church is marred with children. Most of my friends are married so no wedding to attend. I have asked severally here of matured dating sites without response. When l tell people l am not married nor have anyone in sight, they don't believe me. You are too beautiful to say that. I will just laugh. God of impossibility. I am sincerely looking up to you.

Anonymous of the above statement. Try and go out more often. Visit places just for fun. Attend seminars and engage in online hookups. Praise God more often and change that your church. Go to a church where you will meet more people and mingle.
I pray that God will grant your heart desires.

  34. Good afternoon Stella, please post.
I want to rant concerning the data giveaway. Isaac Baba usually gives Glo 1.05gb for N500.
Temi now gave 800mb for the same N500 Glo.
Which is very bad because she's a dealer and I'm sure she gets some percentage. So why should it be this way?
I also have a suggestion that's if you don't mind.
You can tell your PA to get the data amount for all the networks and send it to you.
While the dealers should also send theirs. So you can see for yourself what you are giving your bvs. And please announce to them to state how much mb they received so you can know that the money you pay for us to receive data is not being wasted and that way you're also not being cheated.
    Thank you Stella.
