Speaking in Yoruba language, she sang,
"There is hunger, there is hunger..... " All the money that 'slay papas' give us have finished, and slay papas have returned to their wives at home."
How are the single mothers who are taking care of their children going to cope? There is no help, government where are you? Come and help single mothers, give us money, we don't have money anymore.
The slay sisters can still go out and meet their small small 'concubines' on the side.
Where can we go? People's husbands that we have been sleeping with and they pay us are not being allowed outside by their wives again. Each time we call, it's their wives that pick up and we have to quickly drop the call.
Our lives are getting ruined, how can we feed in this situation? Some single mothers have four children, while others have three and two.
How do we survive this, who can we call, please where are they sharing foodstuff since the husbands have refused to answer us?''
Shameless

ReplyDeleteNigerians can’t do anything without thinking of side chicks for even one day. the men use their own hands to chase these women and spend on them. Some even use pimps and online websites. Most men are still cheating or counting down to when they can continue philandering with strange women. Also a lot of Nigerian women are financially independent and co or even full breadwinners. There are more Nigerian women as petty traders, farmers, cleaners, teachers, bankers, lawyers, doctors etc than there are side chicks. If all we do is discuss side chicks don’t be surprised one day if someone thinks all Nigerian women are side
ReplyDeletechicks. There’s even side chick challenge now, meanwhile other parts of the world are
Doing dance challenges With their families. Obsessing over side chicks even in coronavirus times shows that maybe this isn’t a moral concern, maybe it’s jealousy. Has any side chick come to beg you for money? Is your worth as a woman tied to the actions of your husband? yahoo boys and politicians that rob people don’t get nearly this much attention. No one will like a contender in her marriage but the obsession is becoming concerning
This rubbish about single mothers as if most of them aren’t financially independent. Are there no poor men in Nigeria? Women are looking for money but all the men with children are rich and not looking for money abi.
ReplyDeleteMany Married women in Nigeria shoulder the burden of domestic and financial care for their children, we see the chronicles and anonymous comments on this blog everyday including today, yet this woman is making It seem like all single mothers depend on sleeping with married men for money. Nigerian women will insult other Nigerian women and expect it not to bite them back one day. Anything you say or do to your fellow women, it will apply to you.
I think it was on Twitter I saw that there are married single mothers abi married single parents too
