    9. Met her in secondary school. She was so cute and sits in front of me. My heart skips when I see her and I get distracted inclass looking at her.

The first day we spoke, she asked my neighbour for pen during class and I quickly offered mine pretending I had two. Meanwhile that was all I had. Had to sit through class pretending I was writing with my old eleganza pen that had no ink.

After class, she came to return it and somehow we got talking. I pushed everything fast from that day. Luckily, she was feeling same way for me too but was so shy to say so to me.

She smelled of tacuum powder and was so neat. We did many bad things then and later lost contact when life happened.

We reconnected 2017 and the way I see things; we are both not ready to let each other go.

Sadly, we are both girls. We may relocate to get married. Or just manage men like that later. How we go do for this naija?

  3. I was seeing off my then uni girlfriend off. On my way back, saw my now wife hanging out with her friends. Toasted her, she said she has a boyfriend, I told her I would date her and her boyfriend. Meaning, I don't mind being her side guy. 25 years later after that meeting with so much water passing the bridge, I married her.

    1. Met mine at the ATM. It was a lazy Sunday evening,I decided to stroll to an ATM which was quite far from my house, he was standing directly in front of me on the queue. What attracted me to him was how the sun shone on his clean cut head lol.
We had no conversation on the queue, I was quite surprised to see him waiting for me after he used the ATM...the rest is history.

  4. I shared mine before, I went to the children’s park with my nephew and he too was there with his niece. The both cuties new themselves in school and got playing as they met there coincidentally. Aunt(me) and Uncle day we’re pressing their phones while the children kept playing. When we got tired, he drew closer to where I sat and we got talking. Later exchanged numbers and a month later we started dating. By Nov in Ontario we both will be officially married. I’m going send my invitation to all bvs lol.

  5. Like I said before, in one of my personal prayer retreat six years before the meeting, I had a revelation of whom I will marry; saw him -face, height, complexion etc. (I knew by instinct that he is a very faithful follower of Jesus and that one meant a lot to me..) As a habit, I go for personal retreat at least once a year, especially when the atmosphere is very cool (I like between Christmas and New year).
So from that time I wasn't really attracted to all the ("very rich") men that were showing up and dangling their riches. Whenever they brought riches to entice me, it disgusted me. I just felt that they wanted to buy a ("smooth") cushion they will sit on.
So one day like that, I was on a public transport (remember how I yarn before say I gave out my car to missionaries). Okay so this very fine bobo on very clean shirt and tie begin sing (after receiving permission from the driver). Wawu! This guy looked like a corporate executive. As he open im mouth, e bi like say heaven opened. As im begin preach the simple gospel of salvation, I was really touched. He prayed, shared a gospel tract and sat. As I look am, he looked and smiled. All I noticed was that I admired him and that's all. And in my mind, "mmmmhhh this guy looks familiar"
As the bus reached its final destination, he asked if he could help me carry my load (just the things I bought from the market). I released it. Again I was touched. Our discussions along the way was not much but fruitful. I got to know his occupation and that he merely entered that bus to preach.
As he dropped it in front of my Aunties' house. I thanked him and he left. It was immediately he left that I remembered that vision and that face! I said okay, that means he will come back... and yes he did. Just two weeks after... we took it on from there. And of course, you can guess one of the first question I asked him -his height. It was exact to the last decimal. Meanwhile, my auntie had seen us through the window and laughed me to scorn. She said; "you allow a man to help you carry your bag...this man is special..." I understood exactly what she meant.
    The questions I asked myself;
    1. Supposing I did not give away that car to charity when the Lord moved me to do so, will I have met him on that bus?
    2. Supposing he did not obey the Lord's leading to board and preach in that bus, even when he could have been riding on his dad's cars and enjoy the comfort around him etc.?
    3. Supposing I had refused him carrying my bag? that was what my auntie meant. I do not just allow men chat me up and walk the streets with me.

    2. This is how my DH proposed (I enjoy telling these stories so much). Ndi uta are free to shoot (not shoot off o)😊😊😊😊😊

After being my very good friend for a few years, I knew (from his body language and from the Lord that the proposal go soon land). He is normally a very quiet gentleman but I knew that the present quietness is a meditative one; how he go take broach this heavy topic to this heavy backside girl. 😊😊😊😊. Those years were so blessed; memories I cherish greatly. From the Bible studies, books, interesting topics of discussions, we shared. Finally, everybody around me in my immediate family heaved a sigh of relief, mmmhhhh. That “it’s like this “kolo” girl don find that man she dey wait for all these while that made her reject incredibly handsome, influential and rich men…” I later found out that my papa (even with all his pretense 😊😊😊😊) has secretly chatted him up and known that he is rooted in Christ. That made him calm down and know that it is for real (no be say my papa born again that time o, he just wanted to stylishly know if what he heard "is going anywhere", mind his own business and advise my mom so). My mama nko? That one just dey look us like “lukozade” (my guy no dey drive car, even though they knew that if he wanted five exotic cars, they were at his disposal but he is a contented man of his own mind and I liked him for that). But he is an immaculate and calculated dresser. My mama just wanting to pull out words from my mouth one day told me “mmmhhh, this your guy is very handsome and dresses well …” I pretended like I did not hear her and changed topic immediately. They concluded that since I decided not to be driving too na “kolo woman meet kolo man be that…”(I carry my car -anonymously dash missionaries wey dey inside village far far and take care of orphans. They do not even know that I exist. Please I did not give to any “my pastor” like some of you were insinuating),

So on the D-day, dude visited my auntie’s house. It was my aunty wey break gist initially to my mom say e get one “fine bobo around me and the thing serious…” I began operating from her house because she understood me more -after I rejected the one my parents considered “rich, influential, handsome, born again dude…” whom I told them I wasn’t marrying (reason to myself -he is a Christian yes, but he wasn’t the man my Lord “ asked me to wait for”). Sadly too, that man married a fine Christian girl and two years later, he died in an auto crash. This world! If my friend was visiting my auntie’s house or we were going out, my auntie knows exactly where, and when I will be back (you don’t stay beyond 7pm in both my aunties’/dad’s houses. If you stay under their roof, that rule must be obeyed).

So in that visit, we dey sitting room o, as I crack joke, guy go just nod… his mind dey far far away. I asked him, is anything the matter -no… after a while of silence all I heard was “can we get married?”

Shuoooooooooooorrr, (in my mind) “he don yarn am throway be that?” Laugh no gree me hold and I no wan make im sabi say I dey laugh because of wetin I think I heard. I quickly cracked a joke he likes and poured my laughter there and he joined me -just giggled nervously. I know him to be a karate expert and a very bold person but I don’t know why he needed extra liver to yarn proposal yarns correctly. So, I served him some snacks I made which he liked. He scarcely ate.

It was when he stood up to go that he said the RIGHT WORDS… He looked me in the eyes, mist was gathering… “will you like to marry me…” Finally, guy said it. He no hold ring at all o 😯😯😯😯😯😯 but I didn't mind. He had given me his heart and that's what matters most to me
😊😊😊😊😊 I responded, “yes I will marry you” and the akpu obi (macho) man was weeping.

  8. Totally remember mine. 6 years ago, sometimes in 2014, I was added to this WhatsApp group for football lovers.

After a few minutes in the group, I realised I didn't want to be in the group. You know how u feel as a new member in a group, so confused, unable to follow discussions and just so out of place. So I wanted out then I left the group or so I thought.....

A few hours later, I was back in the group. Jesus! I would leave and I will be added back a few hours later. I wasn't having it. It wasn't funny at all. I started lashing out and warned the admin not to add me back again. Then I will leave and I will get added back again.

So the admin is one guy like that, based in the US and I dunno how he did it but this type of group automatically adds back deserters once the admin comes back on line. Because of this issue, I started attacking the group members and I'd get attacked back. You know I was like this one woman mopol.

Since I couldn't leave despite everything, I decided to chill and started taking things in and before I knew it, I was already flowing with the group and then started to like it. (I will be back to refer to the significance of this introduction later).

Back in 2014, money was really hard sha that even to buy recharge card was war. We had some pretty okay guys in the group as well that would always help with such little details as airtime. So once I needed airtime, I'd just plead for in the group and this particular guy will always send me airtime.

Sometimes, I would ask for someone to help me with data subscription and this same guy would. I will then private chat him to tell him thanks.

Eventually, we started chatting privately on WhatsApp, nothing serious, just like normal friends. Then one day, in his exact words, he said 'isn't it time to move this our friendship to BBM' (this was when bbm was for people u have personal relationships with). I agreed and we moved from WhatsApp to BBM. We would talk practically everyday, about everything possible, work and all those stuff.

Now, I had this serious boyfriend with issues and he was in a relationship that wasn't so serious. We would talk about our relationships and talked about everything we could possibly talk about. This went on until December of that year. We were already catching feelings and flirting but nothing official, nothing concrete just that we knew we had unspoken feelings for one another.

December 2014, new year's eve was when everything took an entirely different turn.

He requested for my number and I gave him without hesitating. He told me he wanted to marry me and I told him to call my mum.(I was very naive then). He did, my mum told him to allow me finish school , he promised to wait. Immediately my mum warned me to keep off from him and I promised her never to get in touch with him. Na lie o.....😄. We were still seeing and he worked his service to same state. We started dating, I liked him very much thenand I didn't want to let go. We dated for 7 yearsand we got married immediately I finished school.🥰 😍😍

  12. That night, I was in church and he was in church and I got a BBM message from him saying.

'I'm in church now, holding my girlfriend's hand and I wish it was your hand I was holding'.

    I melted.

I replied. 'me too, I wish I was there with you'.

And immediately after service, dunno where his girlfriend was but he called me to wish me a happy new year and said so many romantic words and stuff.

It was at this point we started chatting like we were dating. I think it was January 2nd, he told me he'd like to see me physically because video calls were just not enough. He asked if I would be able to come to Warri.

I didn't even think twice. Me wey love don turn her head inside out and I'm not sure I had any real job that wouldn't allow me travel then. My then boyfriend was going to be back at the end of the month of January (he worked offshore as a marine engineer so he would go for about two months then have like a month holiday). So we knew we had to make the travel happen before then. So one Friday, I took excuse from whatever job I was working then and boarded a bus to Warri.

I got to Warri and I called him and he came to pick me up. He came down from the keke that brought him and I was like 'what the hell'. He was so freaking skinny by my standard. I do not like or date skinny guys.

He took me to his aunt's place where he was living and then took me to his place of work later that evening. He worked as a manager of one very small guest house like that in Warri.

I was already counting so many things against him. His size, his job etc but you know what? He was the most romantic person I had ever dated.

You know for Ikorodu standard, dunno about other places it's really weird to see lovers make out in public or even hold hands. But he would hold my hand while strolling, he would peck me, he would kiss me at the cinema just like they do in the movies. I'm sure the only thing we didn't do was running round trees in the forest and singing, these were pdas I wasn't used to before but he didn't care.

My first night was heavenly, don't ask me if we had sex that night because we didn't, but I will plead the 5th about the second night.

But the few moments I spent in Warri were like none I had ever spent before.

Let me not forget to add this, On Sunday when I was going back to Lagos, he counted cash and gave to me that comfortably covered my tfare to and fro and a little bit extra. I'm adding this because I dunno if I would have been comfortable with him not showing this gesture of lack of stinginess. It was not like he gave me a whole lot of money but he gave me enough for me to know he's not stingy even though he wasn't rich, he was not going to not take care of me no matter what.

On that trip, I fell in love with him. Like seriously on love with him. Look where we are today, happily married and still in love.

Now let me go back to the beginning of my story. His friend on the same group would later tell me the reason he was attracted to me was my feistiness in the group. He wondered who is this girl that would take on an entire group all by herself without backing down. He really admired that despite being a very reserved person. That one trait y'all hate about me is the first trait that attracted my husband to me. Weird right. I don't even know why I'm like that online cos I swear I'm nothing like that offline. I guess that's the way I was supposed to meet my husband.

No vex say this long, but y'all know how I love to talk about my boo

Lol we played and he trashed me 😨😦 well we exchanged numbers and became friends ,
One night I just couldn't sleep and he text me I responded saying I couldn't sleep and he should sing me a lullaby 😂😂
Well he called me and was on the phone till I slept off , that was really sweet and kind a month later her said he wanted me to be his girlfriend.... I felt that was odd and fast plus I wasn't sure if I was ready for a long distance relationship as I had to shuttle both countries cos of family.
Well I told him about a failed relationship that left me really insecure and he said he would never do that to me ,
I had just being diagnosed of an illness and I was placed on medications he set an alarm and called me every 4 hours to take my medication, that captivated me and then he said he isn't dangote but be wants to marry me 😍🥰🤩 that line made me laugh cos he seemed to know a lot about Nigeria
Its been 4 years and he has been the best blessing I've ever had , he totally adores me and is everything and more I ever prayed for 😍💕💕
We are getting hitched in a couple of months and I'm looking forward to spending my forever with him.

  20. Morning sickness is dealing with me. I wish to type it all but I feel I can’t 😭😭😭 let me try my best. We met during NYSC sha. 2013/14. We taught in the same PPA. His class was opposite mine. According to him the first time he set his eyes on me was during cds, I was wearing a different khaki trouser from the one everyone was wearing. That was what caught his attention. He collected my number from one of his friends. He will call me during holidays, chat me up but I wasn’t paying attention. After service year, he still kept touch. So one day he chatted me up and said “I’m into you” pls let’s do better than being just friends. Mind you we were in different states. He called the next day to ask me what I feel about the chat, I was like oga you can’t ask me out over the phone o travel down here and say it in person. He fixed a day, he came down asked me out again and I said errrm sorry I’m still thinking about it you will have to come back again. I was already in love with him o. I just Dey do shakara
He went back to his base, we continued our normal routine as friends for a week he didn’t bring up the be my lover discussion. After two week he said he wants to travel down again. I’m like no wahala. He came and I said YES. I met his mum, he’s her only child she treated us like we are her only children. We got married in 2018 and here we are. Pheeeewww!

  23. My Aunty was my hubby's colleague at work and she said, she got convinced that me and my hubby were meant to be. But because of the kind of man my husband was, She couldn't tell him straight up....so she began to tell stories about me to him, She even brought my picture to work 🤣..Hubby knew what she was doing but He refused to show it. She did it for some months and according to him...He decided to pray about me (without even seeing or speaking with me).... He prayed with him Mentor for like 6months, got convinced about me and then asked my Aunty for my number. He said my Aunty was just Smiling 😁 the day He asked for the number.
I already knew about Hubby from one of my friends, they attend the same fellowship (he talks about him then with awe), Hubby called me on my birthday...introduced himself...Choi I was so shocked ehhh..We became friends and later proposed. Took time to pray too and later said Yes to him. My Aunty never told me about her convictions...Infact she told both of us after we got engaged.

  27. Part 1

We met as corps members in Osun State12 years ago.

I arrived camp in high spirits and took up all the activities. Few days to leave camp, during Sunday mass, an announcement was made for people from my state of origin to wait behind for an important briefing.
At the briefing, a man addressed us saying our state has a formidable association there and he was sent to take our details (Uni attended, course of study, class of degree, yr of birth, etc) so as help us get good places for primary assignment. We happily gave our details and also exchanged numbers amongst ourselves.

A week later, we collected posting letters and most of us were posted to unwanted places, although mine was good (bank) because an official helped influence it. Others were worried and wondered why our parapo man hadn't contacted anyone. I was surprised cos he had been calling me steady.

I settled in, started work and was shuttling Osogbo (Fellowship family house) - Ilesa (work) which was stressful until I moved to Ilesa to join my Platoon friend temporarily as I was looking for accommodation. All these while, the man was in touch. My platoon friend had her boyfriend visiting from Warri and politely excused me one afternoon for them to be alone. Immediately, the parapo man's call came in and he invited me to the hospital where he worked. Out of boredom, I went there and he was talking relationship and settling down. I wasn't interested but wasn't sure of how to say it on that visit.

    1. Part 2

I refused to visit again cos he wasn't my type and started avoiding his calls.

5 months later, I met a corps member from my state. He was my batch but another stream, we didn't do orientation camp same time). We started gisting and became friends. He kept asking me if I wasn't in a relationship. I found that odd cos I wasn't.

Unknown to me, the parapo man had told him he is dating a corps member serving in a bank from our state, so my details tallied when we introduced ourselves.
He then told me he knew the Parapo man from way back (he was his chief during housemanship) and that he used that ploy in the camp to find a wife. He (Parapo man) had told him we were in a relationship and I was a regular guest in his house but he didn't want to continue and so ghosted me. Chei! I was shocked at the lies!

Funny enough, we started dating cos he knew Parapo man was lying. He kept telling me different tales his chief told him about 'us' that never existed. I restrained myself from calling him to lambast him properly.

We got serious and married a year or so later. It's been 10 years of joy, although the early years were not so smooth. Now, it's beautiful!

Till date, whenever he runs into his chief, he still makes allusion to those lies being true (guilty conscience).
...Some men cannot accept rejection/defeat sha!

  29. Ex boyfriend broke up with me few days to his sister’s wedding (due to no fault of mine....story for another day). I asked if my invite to the wedding was still valid, he said I was free to do whatever I liked as long as I stay away from him. So, I attended the wedding looking smashing and stayed far away from him! I told myself I was going to have a great time and I sure did. I was open minded, jisting with people on my table and even went dancing on the dance floor alone.... Then, my now husband walked up to me ( looking so fly) asking if he could see me outside. We chatted a bit, exchanged numbers and the rest is history, with three children, best decision of my life! Lesson: when I door closes, be open to other possibilities, don’t go wallowing in sadness ....

  35. I love some stories on here...I'm currently in a relationship and I hope and pray it leads to marriage cos I'm not getting any younger.

But I will say this, my dad had a gf that he wanted to marry but my mum snatched him and got preggy. Knowing my dad of cos he fell. Truth is my parents are not compatible at all and it's obvious now that we are grown up. But they managed to find balance but they were repercussions from her actions plus others one that she did. Lying about our achievements, some were true but most weren't , gossipping that made women that we normally we would never have anything to do with insult us even to our face. But she did sth that resulted to a curse and my cousins some of whom I carried as babies are getting married up and down. My sis and I are well accomplished and beautiful, but men don't see us and when they do is sex. I have been single for a long time even this one I'm in I'm following with prayers but the point is you're married...great. start now and pray for your future daughters that they will not reach 40 and yet to settle down. Lay a foundation that will never break cos if my mum had done that instead of gallivanting up and down, I will not be here. I found out all these through prayers and revelations and I have forgiven her but I will never be like her. I'm sorry for this depressing post...happy married life to all

  38. Was done with law school and was called to bar. My grandparents had relocated from Northern Ireland to England, so I decided to be with my grandparents, then later settle down in Wales where one of my big bros and his family reside. I was 22 years at the time. My dad was reluctant but he didn't want to stand in my way. I got to the airport rather early so I decided to stroll around, was tired of sitting still. I was travelling with some of my cousins, so the safety of my luggage was not an issue.

As I was walking rather aimlessly, I looked up... my heart truly and actually skipped a beat. There he was, the man of my dreams that I hadn't even dreamt about. 6ft 4, dark chocolatie hunk of masculinity. He made a beeline towards my direction and flashed this knowing smile. He introduced himself and for the first time in a very long time, I actually stuttered. I recovered fast and introduced myself right back. I didn't want him to see the effect he had on me but I guess it was too late. Still I refused to acknowledge the obvious.

Apparently he too was relocating from America, after over 30 years, to head the family business in Nigeria. We exchanged numbers, GSM wasn't in then, but we had cell phones, landlines and emails. He relocated a month before we met, but he had to keep shuttling. It was on one of his returning journeys that we met. And that, people, is how I got hooked.

He hung around till it was time for my cousins and I to board. You can imagine how the flight was. I was smiling through out like I worn the lottery, my cousins were bothering me for details but I was too inebriated with passion to pay them any mind. They were interrupting my daydream. Of course my relocation was disconstructed to a short visit. Lol. As soon as I arrived, I called home to tell my parents that on a second thought, I have decided to get more experience practicing law in Nigeria before I relocate permanently. My parents were very happy because they really didn't want me to go, in the first place.

My Nana, God rest her soul, saw right through me like a wet T-shirt. She was like " Ronnie, my sweet, what is his name? I want to know all about him." There I was, thinking I succeeded in fooling everyone. I couldn't wait to get back to Nigeria, we spoke everyday and exchanged emails like every hour. The feeling was super intoxicating. I returned to Nigeria, I don't think I spent up to a month, visiting my grandparents and my big bro. I got back, he asked me out officially and we started dating. I still acted like he had to work for my attention. I was fronting seriously, he says he knew but decided to prove himself worthy, nonetheless. He proposed a year later, I accepted but insisted that we dated for another year. I felt like getting married to him the very next day but I had to put my emotions in check. 20 amazing years of being together, 18 years of matrimony and 3 adorable angels later, I'm overwhelmed with nothing but gratitude. My life turned out better than I could imagine.

Two things were against him in my mind as days went on, he is yoruba and a doctor. After some weeks, his first real words to me was I love you. I was shocked cos that was new and different line of toasting. After all my shakara and runnings, I am so in love I can't believe it. 2 boys and almost 6 years of marriage. If I could start everything again, I would toast him first self. I love you baby...

  41. The first time I laid eyes on him was February 14 2009. I attended a students church in school. Every year, the church always organised a dinner on vals day. It used to be sooo cool. The ladies would wear beautiful dresses and the guys would be dressed in suits. The church was always rearranged to look like a hall. It was always fun. Lots of games. Lots of food.. I attended with my male friend that year.. I looked across after a while and noticed this handsome tall guy and I thought to myself, "who is this fine guy?" Anyways, food was served and I noticed the beautiful way he chewed. (Petty right? But he was a breath of fresh air considering the type of guys I'd been meeting that period. ) I mentioned it to my friend and he was like, oh that's "O" I know him, he plays badminton and he's one of the best players we have. I found out that he was in his finals. I was in 200 level going to 3 at the time.

I forgot about him when I got back to my hostel. About 4 / 5 months later, During Bible study (sorry, I'm a church/ Jesus girl..) the topic was about mentorship. I was jotting some things down and then my pastor asked a question. Someone stood up to answer. Oh my God! The wisdom, the depth. I looked up to see who it was. It was the guy from Valentine's Day. I knew I had to be friends with this guy. I really like intelligent and deep people.. But how were we going to ever be friends though? He was almost done with school. We had no mutual friends..I am really shy.. I really didn't see a way.

One day, one of the guys from welfare department came to visit myself and my roommate in our hostel. He came with this "Valentine's Day guy. Let's call him "O". Mr "O" went to visit the welfare guy as they were friends. The welfare guy told him he was on his way to see some church members. (They were both defending their projects at this time. They had lots of time on their hands.) Mr 'O' decided to go with him. Anyways, they both came to visit. My roommate was not around. So it was just me. I got to know "O" a little more and after he left, I started to pray about him. I told God that I really really like him. I told God that I'll like to marry him but if he could even just be my friend, I'd be fine with it. I started to pray this prayer every day for several months.

I became friends with Mr welfare because of Mr 'O'(God forgive me. ) One day, Mr welfare, came visiting and he told me that Mr O was celebrating his birthday in a few days and he'd like me to go with him. I thought of the gift to give Mr 'O' and then it hit me! A picture frame! But how? I had no picture. There was also no personal photo of him on facebook. I took Mr welfare's phone without his knowledge. Transferred a picture of Mr 'O' to my phone, went to a photo studio to print it out. A few days later, I went to a super market and got a very nice frame. At this point, I was really smiling at myself like girl!!!!!!!! You're crazy. But a girl has got to do what a girl has got to do. Please note that at this point, myself and Mr "O" had barely spoken to each other but I couldn't go to to that birthday party empty handed. What does the Bible say again about the gift of a man? Hehehehe.

    To be continued below

  42. We went for the birthday, I saw that he was surprised to see me but he seemed happy. When it got to the time when his friends spoke about him, I was so impressed. Everyone said beautiful things about him. I knew I had to marry this man. After the birthday, I gave him a card and the frame and I left. On sunday, he saw me in church and wanted to thank me but I was forming busy and I acted as though it didn't matter and I didn't really care.. Deep down, I wanted to be with him, talk to him, spend time with him but each time I saw him, I acted indifferent. I was forming hard girl. He graduated. I got into 300 level.. I already even gave up. I loved him.. but in my mind, there really was no way we could ever be. One fateful afternoon, after several months, He called to say he'd like to go into a relationship with me. I was stunned but I still formed hard girl and told him to give me time. As I needed to talk to God about it. After I dropped the call, I couldn't believe what had just happened. I was so happy!! We started to talk more on the phone and started to get to know each each other. He came one time to visit. We spent the whole afternoon gisting and I knew that I had met my husband. I told my pastor about it. He told me to write a list of negotiables and my non negotiables. As I wrote the list, I knew he was the one. My pastor also spoke really, really highly of him. His classmate, who I later got to know, spoke very highly of him. Everyone I knew spoke really well about him. He called me after some weeks to ask if I had an answer for him yet. I told him to come to school. He did.

I remember, we sat under the tree. It was so peaceful and serene.. I told him to ask me out properly ( cos he initially asked over the phone) He did and I told him yes. We got married 2018. Our relationship was mostly long distance but we were close. We spoke over the phone daily and it helped us to stay chaste.. He's the best husband in the entire world. I thank God everyday for him. I must have done something good in my past life to be married to this man or it could just be my mother's daily prayers of a good man and a good home. Sometimes, I look at him and can't believe he's my husband. Thank you Jesus! I'm currently pregnant with our first child and will be due very soon. I'm sorry for the very long epistle.. Please forgive my typos. I wrote this in a rush. I hope my story made you smile..

  43. So we were introduced by a mutual friend in 2016, it didn’t go well at all. There seemed to be zero chemistry, nothing but awkward conversations. We gave it a break. Fast forward to months later, I saw his number on iMessage and randomly buzzed. We ended up talking non-stop for about a month. Then he decided to come and visit me in Abuja. I was nervous at first, you know how you’re worried the chemistry may not translate to reality? well, The meeting And visit was amazing, it just formed up all the feelings we had. He asked me out and I agreed. We started dating and I started seeing several issues with the relationship. Silly arguments, unpredictable temperaments Etc. I wasn’t used to that at all and I thought - I cant be with someone who I rub off the wrong way (he was always as getting worked up over little stuff), I decided to end it.
Fast forward to 2018 he buzzes me (in my mind it’s to tell me he’s getting married) but we actually start talking about life in general, our relationship, what went wrong and what we can do differently. Let’s just say we understood ourselves better this time and it was the right time. I went down to Lagos to visit him - something I would normally not do and let’s just say it was the best decision I ever made. Being with him that weekend was enough to show me this is the man God made for me. He asked me to marry him then, no ring or anything. And I said yes. It was the most beautiful proposal ever. We went to see his parents and his siblings. I came back and confessed to my mum where I had gone, She was over the moon! Intro was set for 2 months after, he proposed to me again with a ring on his birthday and it’s been such an amazing ride ever since. He’s my favorite person in the world. Too many beautiful love stories. Mine wasnt a romantic meeting kindof style,it wasnt planned.

The first time i met my husband was at my sister's wedding. He was bestman ,i was maid of honor. I was preparing for a very important exam and didnt notice anyone, i just wanted d wedding to go well and head back to my base for my exam.
So i go back to my city and i got a text from him trying to be cordial. I just blocked him because to me i was career driven, no time for boyz/men.
Then life happened, i couldnt get a job in my city so i travelled to my sister's city since i got a job offer there.
With no friends , i got bored. My sis suggested i kill boredom by hanging out with her hubby's best man so i agreed. To me it will be nothing coz his not my taste and i loved my job more than any man.
So we started hanging out and the rest is history......
I tell myself everyday, i got lucky. And our kids are blessed to have a super hands on dad .
I couldnt have wished for a better support system.

  45. I wished my story ended with a happily ever after😭😭

So our house in Abuja got demolished in 2007 and we moved to a new location. I was in Js2 then. I came second at the end of the term and my name was on everybody's lip as the new girl that came and grabbed the second position. It was a very small place then.

I was going on an errand that evening and saw this cute boy riding a bycicle. I stylishly asked my seatmate(now bestie) about him and she told me his name, he attended a boarding school in a neighbouring state and had come home for the holidays. He was a year ahead of us and Friday's bestfriend(friday was the classmate i grabbed the second postion from so that one was beefing me lowkey)

I didnt know if it was love but I kept stalking this boy, I would walk pass their house more than 10times a day just to see him(we dont talk oo) Friday was dating my then bestfriend and I kept hoping and praying he would ask me out too. What I would find out later was that he also liked me that first day and kept disturbing friday to help him toast me but that one refused because he was still angry that I took his second position. LOL

We sha started dating when I was in SS2, and it was fun ooo. His mum never liked me sha, claims people from my place are diabolic and that I looked stubborn which
Isnt true 🤣🤣🤣. We kept doing hide and seek love and amebos kept informing his mum and the whole thing later caused a big issue between them. Thank God they have settled now.

We dated on and off till we had a big breakup in 2017, reconciled in 2019 but as per say i don taste outside things I now feel he is immature. He complained I no longer had respect for him. I was tired of his constant nagging and officially called it quits last month after reading a comment by bv Bitchpls about how that kind of puppy love almost never work in the long run as the girl will start feeling she is more mature than the guy and see finish will enter. To think we were actively planning a wedding ooo, even though we hadnt agreed on the Church we would attend after the wedding. That guy realy loved me and he still is the love of my life. LOL

So this one I'm seeing now, I did my IT in their office in 2015. We worked in the same team but never really talked bcos I was miss faithful girlfriend to the guy above and always wore a frown bcos I didnt want anyone toasting me🤣🤣🤣

Saw him last year at an eatery, we exchanged contacts, got talking and he confessed how badly he wanted to approach me back then but was scared bcos I looked like a no nonsense somebody. We started off as friends, gist a lot till it entered relationship like play ooo. He's been hinting on wanting to settle down and start a family ASAP, asked me when I meet his family and he mine but I keep dodging the question. My problem is, I feel he might look down on me considering my humble background esp as he is doing very well for himself, has his own house, cool ride and a good job while me am just picking up financially. His family is well to do also while mine is the opposite. Plus he has alot of girls throwing themselves at him(I know this from snooping) I just feel all these will enter his head someday and he will start giving me attitude
Dear bvs, am I crazy or should I just relax and go with the flow?

    1. Don’t project your insecurities on him, that’s a relationship killer. If he wanted someone from his social status, he won’t be with you.

Relax, be yourself and flow with him. 🤗
