  2. Our Marriage Act states that for marriage to be valid, it must be done I'm a licensed place of worship. (That's statutory marriage of course so Islamic and customary marriages are excluded) so all these people that have been wedding online should just know their marries not valid thus go and legalise it after the lockdown

    1. I believe the marriages were registered under the Act, perhaps it’s the exchange of vows and rings that they needed to zoom in observers. On another note, maybe the Ministry of interior section handling marriage licensing and registration is open but only couples and their witnesses are allowed inside.

These are all possibilities, so don’t conclude the marriages aren’t legalized.

    2. My brother is supposed to wed by the end of May. If this Corona pesists till then they will just go to church on the morning of the D day with their sponsor and parents of the bride, my mum, brother and sister and wed. By his grace after the Corona we will now do the wedding party.

    6. 15:39, there's an exception to the clause. Those who got married during corona can lean on that (special place of worship). But need permission from court registrar though

That section of the court should be making such exceptions available to people now and their office ought to be open too to be attending to that.

  7. Good for them. Marriages should continue just like births and burials don't stop because of the virus. Why put off your wedding because of Corona? Do your wedding and when things get better you can do a second one again or a big party. Lock down your love, unless you are unsure and the virus is a blessing in disguise.
