Gov El-Rufai Says He Has Tested Positive For Coronavirus...

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Governor, who confirmed this on his Twitter handle, explained that he is not showing symptoms.

“Earlier this week, I submitted a sample for COVID-19 test. The result came in this evening and I am here to say that it is positive.
According to the protocol for managing COVID-19, I am in self-isolation.
I wish to appeal to the people of Kaduna State to continue to observe the preventive measures already announced by our government.
It is most important that you stay safe, stay humble and stay alive. The Deputy Governor is in charge of the task force and I will continue to issue statements from time to time,”

    1. You will soon know its a rich mans disease. Most of them have contacts with index cases eho just came from abroad.Besides, they voluntarily submitted themselves for tests just to know their status .What about the thousands of people that died in Italy? It is only a matter of time before it spreads to the "not do rich"people according to your terms if the neccesary precaution is not taken.
It would even be easier to curtail it amongst the rich than the poor. Most of them go into isolation as soon as they find out. But you see those "poor" people especially those illiterate abokis burning down police stations because police didnt allow them to gather ib groups, the corona will easily spread like WILD FIRE.God help us all

  8. Testing positive for corona virus doesn't mean you'd get sick. You may have the virus without necessarily being in danger of symptoms or death. Let's stop spreading fear.

  9. I feel for them but all these our leaders have refused to better the lot of the masses. I hope they use this time to reflect on the ills they have done on the poor. I just hope no foreign country accepts any of them in their hospitals. Let them all stay here and use the same facilities we use.

  14. Hmmmm.... Covid-19 is real but. .. thinking out loud....
Could this be a PRACTICAL way of creating awareness for the almajiris by someone they look up to (social distancing, washing, using sanitizer etc) ?

These northern uneducated masses are known to distrust modern medications - vaccines (immunization) etc.
