Nigeria cannot be better prepared than countries that have embraced this measures for the safety of their citizens or better prepared than Countries already battling this virus.
Nigerians should start a movement or a hashtag and tag all government officials, tag the National Assembly members, tag the President of Nigeria and his Vice...Tag all of them!.
Do not sit down and wait until Coronavirus breaks out in Nigeria, force the government to take action NOW!!!
Get busy on your social media handles now!!!
We can't! They have stronger economies,we don't... They can survive we can't ..that's not the solution.. the solution is to do due diligence... we can't let Corona destroy our lives
ReplyDeleteOk be there ranting 'we cant'o. Corona that is wearing its shoes ready to come to Africa. It is then that we will know that half of the populace have underlying medical conditions. My friend went to check his BP last week. It was 120/195. No headache, no symptom at all.
DeleteAnon 18:56! Are you indicating 195/120?...
DeleteBuhari no dey hear he is ready to ban rice from borders yet he is ready to allow everyone hook line and sinker into the country...I wish it can catch all of them in government without the virus affecting the masses..
ReplyDeleteEgungun really has to be careful. Have you noticed that all of a sudden, Bubu has been well and not gone on any overseas trip? I even hear that it's his double that's in Aso Rock,😕🤐
DeleteOur Government won't o, at least not yet.
ReplyDeleteThey said they haven't seen the need...as the supercountry wey we be, filled with supermen and superwomen who are immune to all diseases and epidemic.
May God help us because if an infected person boards BRT in Lagos, we don die finish be that.
These people (government)definitely know what to do but are just naive and careless
ReplyDeleteabi o this is the right time to form key board warriors and social media soldiers!
ReplyDeleteThis na wetin dem dey tell person? The people who constitute our government are so daft. All boarders and airports should have been closed by now. What kind of money are we looking for compared to the health and safety of your citizens
ReplyDeleteBuhari only cares about rice and APC Chairman..Imagine a president cannot do a condolence visit yesterday only for Sanwolu to fly to Abuja and share pictures with him..He didnt come because he used yesterday to call Oshomole and other aggrieved parties to settle APC wahala amidst COVID 19 virus..Shame on this government!!
DeleteI dont know why they have remain adamant about it...even the abuja isolation center is still under construction.
ReplyDeleteStop covid 19 now! #Nigeriagov #lasg
ReplyDeleteNigeria and UK and their siddon and wait approach to everything! Laughable. ‘We prepared’,’we are 3 weeks behind Italy’. Yenyenyen. Ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% o, this govt is wicked and clueless. Organizers of OCCUPY NIGERIA what are you waiting for? You now deaf and dumb? You cannot speak? No more protests? No no speaking up? Better come out and speak up o. The time is now. #banallflightsintonigeria #stopthespread #Nigeriaisunprepared
ReplyDeleteDrop the insults sir/ma@11:37
DeleteIf they don't act. YOU and I can. I have!
We are very good at pointing fingers. Whilst we can't give the directives to lock up, we can use our hashtags to apply pressure every hour.
Flood their official and personal handles. Post on their children and known associates social media platforms.
Do not insult. Pass your message and move to the next.
It starts with ME. I HAVE STARTED.
Have YOU?
U dey mind them? A good number of African countries have closed their borders, schools & effected restriction of public gatherings , even Ghana just did yesterday. Heard that Mamora of a man saying Chinese, Italians & some other countries that have cases of Corona will not be stopped from entering Nigeria. Whatever he’s trying to achieve by ds, if not d cheapest popularity. Our so called leaders sef.
ReplyDeleteStella calm down. Those old politicians, especially the president and his cabal wont escape it if it comes. So it may be a blessing in another form
ReplyDeleteAbi oh Anony..
DeleteThe good thing about Coronavirus is that it is no respecter of persons. From Bubu to buba we all go feel am
DeleteI hope our carelessness won't affect us as a country. Disastrous will be an understatement if this disease should break-out in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteYour health minister said "No need for travel ban"
ReplyDeletei tatally agreed with him because if they do how would they make the targeted "money"? (Coro Budget)All they want is money not our safty. Just like Lagos state Govnor visitiing Buhari with pictures of Abula Ado tragedy as if he doesnt have TV.
I think they want people to get infected so that they can embezzle more funds all under pretense of obtaining funding to heal the disease
ReplyDeleteThank you Stella.
ReplyDeletePlease for those that have active social media presence and following our celebrities and politicians, this is the time to use your followership wisely.
The senators and presidency won't see our posts but they will see the posts of the celebs while browsing for yellow laps.
Please copy and share this post from Stella. Please!!!! Pressure from citizens is what made some countries lock up.
Let's use our numbers for ourselves for once.
Please God touch their hearts, because our leaders are like "Pharaoh" with hardened hearts. Except something terrible happens, they do not listen to the masses. 😥
ReplyDeleteRemember in the bible it reads paraphrased '' to some he has given a reprobate mind'' so it may be God's will to make them hardened so he will teach them a very big lesson..
DeleteEven our leaders are no more traveling for medical check-up. This is serious
ReplyDeleteHe who the gods want to kill, they first make mad. Stella, leave them. This might be a way of God answering our prayers as the virus kills mostly 60 yo plus and with underlying conditions. Tell me which naija politician no get underlying medical conditions. Let them (politicians) refuse to do the right thing: it’s gonna be the dawn of a new era for the youth.
ReplyDeletewhat are about your old parents and relatives? do you people think at all?
DeleteYou know if my parents are out of the country, odesco.
DeleteWe actually have a very good preparedness plan, even better than we had during Ebola, we also have the manpower with coordination by NCDC. You people dunno how much work, NCDC, NFELTP and AFENET have been doing to keep you all save. If not Lassa fever would have wiped out the entire control and Corona virus wont find anyone to infect. People should actually go and read about the Covid 19 and they will know it's not as virulent as fear as made it to seem though it is more easily transmissible even before causing symptoms it can spread. And people erroneously think its airborne but its spread via droplets

ReplyDeleteAnon16:27 you are a joke. I am sure you are with one of these agencies. I have gone to NCDC's website and it states that travellers coming in to Nigeria from affected countries sjould self isolate for 14days. Really!!! You would expect my sister-inlaw coming to Nigeria from Uk for her daughter's to obey your self-isolation rule? I think our government is actually wishing this virus on us o
