ASUU Begins Warning Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday March 9,2020 embarked on a two- week warning strike

ASUU National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, announced this at the end of the National Executive Council meeting(NEC) held at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).

Ogunyemi disclosed that the strike action was to ensure the federal government implement the agreements and resolutions of Memorandum of Action discussed in the 2009 ASUU-FGN agreement, the 2013 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

He added that the 2017 Memorandum of Action (MoU)has also not been implemented, reason for its two-weeks strike action.

    1. God will punish everyone of you that collected money during election and postponed strike when it was the best time to have your demands met. It's the parents and students that will suffer this now.

  6. I know the IPPIS is their main grouse with government. technically this IPPIS will create problems for these lecturers cos it cant capture their other commitments outside the main school curriculum..they should find the way forward abeg and not subject these kids to unnecessary delays
