School Retires Gianna Bryant's Number 2 Jersey In Her Memory And To Inspire Others...

Gianna, the late daughter of late Basketball legend Kobe Bryant, has had her number two jersey retired by her school basketball team in a special ceremony.

She was described as the “heart and soul” of Harbor Day School’s basketball team.

During the ceremony, which included emotional speeches from her teachers, fellow students and coaches, it was announced the framed number two jersey with Gianna’s name on the back would be displayed on the wall of the school gym to ‘inspire’ others.

Gianna died in a helicopter crash alongside her father, Kobe Bryant, and seven other people on January 26,2020.

    1. Please, I live in Orange County. The fog that morning was so bad that I even asked my husband to drive me to the gym five minutes away because I didn’t want to walk in that creepy foggy weather. It was so dense and thick even while driving..I can’t even imagine flying. The LAPD even grounded all their helicopters because of the fog. Sometimes accidents happen.

    3. 15:26 that's so insensitive!
Gianna died at 13 and hasn't lived her full life span. She should be mourned! Who wants to lose a child, much more one so young.
Grandma has lived long enough so see her children's children and her death should be a celebration of life while missing the good memories.
