Mrs Dee's Corner - Audio Valentine..

I cant help but remember...........

I had this male church member / friend that was a Chris Brown lookalike and his hazel eyes were a huge complement to his looks. He knew it and had a bevy of girlfriends who were pining away for him.

I really liked him but I knew that nothing would come out of it because while he was dashing and outgoing, he usually teased me that I was reserved and naive.

We maintained our "hello/hi, how's school/how's work?" till I was ready to serve the motherland.

Orientation camp was barely two weeks away from Valentine and I was bored silly. I had no friends, no books and practically stayed indoors all day.

Only God knows what made him call me to ask about my plans for Feb. 14th, and when I mentioned I had none, he promised he would take me out.

I was elated and looked forward to spending time outdoors. I bought a nice outfit and started counting down.

The D-day came and I called him several times, he didn't pick up nor call back.

In order not to look desperate, I just stopped calling and zeroed my mind that he wouldn't show up.

He later called back by 10.00pm reeling off on how he spent his evening with friends and how he had such a swell time without a word of apology for standing me up.

I jejely respected myself and let it slide.

Las las, he didn't even marry anyone here, he met a US born Nigerian on Facebook, she came down to Nigeria and they had their court wedding. She travelled back and processed his papers.

He's now in the states and doing well for himself.

*You Respected yourself and let it slide?Nonsense!....You should have told him off for standing you up!
I feel like helping you do it....You sound Miss goody two shoe-ish...WTF!!!

  4. These pained me on your behalf, I am sure you were tripping for him too and the guy knew. You were also happy he talks to you and kinda does you a favor by being your friend considering his looks and all so you didn’t want to usurp the friendship. Anyway let’s just believe you were naive then that’s why you didn’t confront him for standing you up.

Kia! The guy must really feel like a blessing to women and the best thing after slice bread.

Most of her class girls are tripping for him and if he talks to any of them, they will carry it on their heads including my sis o. He even chatted with one girl and she posted a screenshot of their conversation on their class group chat, imagine!

The truth is very fine people be it male or female gets privileges.
