The former governor had asked the court for an order to stop his probe by the lawmakers over the purchase of 820 buses.
Ruling on the application on Thursday, Justice Yetunde Adesanya held that court lacked the jurisdiction to stop the lawmakers from going ahead with the probe.
Ambode instituted the civil suit against the State House of Assembly, its Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, and the Clerk of the House, Mr A. Sanni.
Other respondents to the suit are Mr Fatai Mojeed, the Chairman of an ad-hoc committee set up by the House to probe the procurement of the buses, as well as eight members of the committee.
They are Mr Gbolahan Yishawu, Mr A. Yusuf, Mr Yinka Ogundimu, Mrs Mojisola Meranda, Mr M. Makinde, Mr Kehinde Joseph, Mr Temitope Adewale, and Mr Olanrewaju Afinni.

What is he afraid of? Are the buses up to 820?, and yet we queue up for long time
ReplyDeleteSilly leaders that will never learn from history.Perpetuating corruption as if going out of vogue ,amassing wealth that would amount to waste and in the process destroying destiny that will attract curse to their offspring.
ReplyDeleteTo be sincere Ambode is better than sanwolu at least he did not ban maruwa
ReplyDeleteThose blue buses are not up to 820 cos if so people wouldn’t be having problems wth transportation. But I would admit that those buses are the best things that happened to Lagos during his tenure. Though they started operations after he left. Ambode had a vision but he was also enriching his pockets without blinking. The mistake he made was eating alone and not carrying the other people in his administration along.
ReplyDeleteI hope Sanwolu keeps up with the good work.
He should roll out the small buses he has promised the state first for people to see.
Though the exercise has helped Lagosians shed some weight. Trekking is good for the body but not in this heatwave though.
This people aint smart at all
