It's one thing to think that just because God promised you something, you don't have to do anything. But it's just as dangerous to be so dependent on what you think you know, that you don't have time and space for God.
As seasoned as David was, he knew that every battle isn't won with the same strategy. And that you don't fight every battle just cos it shows up in front of you.
When they went to Ai the first time, Joshua and his experienced fighters were defeated by a very small city that God had previously told them they would take.

I also had sex dreams when I was pregnant and lost the pregnancies thrice! No job. Health is challenged. I am a child of God. DeleteObstacles show up for many reasons - including to show you where you are lacking, to drive you back to the presence of God, or to show the world that God is God.
You may have failed 400 level of your MBBS not cos you didn't hear God clearly about becoming a doctor or cos God changed His mind - but cos you were playing when you should have been studying, you froze in the exam hall, you missed something, etc.
You may be losing money in your business cos you're spending on unnecessary things or harbouring a thief you trust in your Accounts department but you won't know till something serious happens. It's almost impossible for an outsider to wreck your business without inside help. So, you need to learn to plug the kind of leak that helped you hire a thief in the first place. Before you become CEO of a FTSE 100 company and go to jail for what you truly don't know about, cos "I don't know" is not a satisfactory answer when EFCC asks what your signature is doing on a document that makes it look like you embezzled money.
Sometimes, an obstacle is not to stop you from doing something but to show you a different way you hadn't considered before. Not every angry client can be treated the same way, even if it looks like they are annoyed by the same thing. But you won't know that till you experience them.
You may be having certain problems cos you have bought into the demonic New Age idea that all you need to succeed is to exercise the power of your mind cos you are god. You can only do that up to a point, after which God will withdraw His Hand and angels - so you'll see how far your human mind can carry you. Why do humans keep falling for Satan's first temptation (to rob God of His glory)? Jesus who is on the same level as God, brought Himself down - so what are you to think you can successfully drag God's glory with Him? You call it enlightenment, but you're a fool. Not every 1st class graduate from the same set or school (even abroad) gets the same job or even opportunity. 20 actresses with differing levels of talent can audition and only one gets the role - cos there was only one role available. How can you think it's your looks or education that took you to a place where only God could have gotten you? Why do you feel the need to push God to destroy what He created to prove a point, like He did with Satan? You think you're woke cos you're listening to the olodo who got flung out of Heaven for trying to stage a coup? For real? So, what will it take to acknowledge God? That God is not answering you now, doesn't mean He cannot see you - whether for good or bad. It's just that when He answers you, you might not like the result. He kept David quiet and pretended He didn't see, for at least a year after he slept with Bathsheba and killed Uriah to marry her.
God knows everything, may show you the end, but not always the middle because
a) the middle is never a good selling point; no matter how gangster you are, you will refuse to follow God if you see the middle first
b) if you know you've seen the end, it kinda gives you faith to wipe your tears when you get to the middle and experience whatever you see there cos you know that's not the end.

DeleteNot every obstacle can be bound, cast, prayed, faith-ed or strategised away. I remember asking God a while ago if there was anything I could have done to prevent a certain lie from being told or the consequences, some years ago. I was relieved but angry to hear "No". I was even more frustrated when it dawned on me that God had shown it to me a whole two years before it was done - I knew BEFORE those who planned even had the idea to sit and plan. I just ignored/forgot about it and went off to do my own thing - till it started to play out after I woke up one morning and heard Psalm 2:1 - 4. Remembering that I'd seen it (and the end) before, kept me sane in a 'prison' that was always in God's Plan for my life. The accuracy of what I'd been shown before - down to what was said, how it was said, who said what, what I was even wearing (which I didn't own two years prior) - gave me faith to be still & strength to look again at something that looked completely hopeless.
And sometimes, that's what you need: faith to be still in the midst of noise, not fear to add to the confusion that obstacles can come with. It's often in stillness that you will hear God. There are situations that should make you feel honoured - cos it's not everyone that certain problems or agents are dispatched to. The only reason TEN grown men ganged up on a teenager (Joseph) wasn't that they truly BELIEVED in his dreams and were AFRAID; if they thought it was his imagination, they would have left him to keep dreaming. The thing with his coat was just an afterthought.
Jericho was shut to the children of Israel just cos the inhabitants were AFRAID. But the Israelites didn't know! They got there, saw the wall and wondered how they'd take what God said He already gave them.
There are some obstacles that will only show up cos it's you. Saul was so threatened that he left his throne and kingdom to shamelessly chase David around. He KNEW David was his replacement and was AFRAID.
I don't know why I'm putting this here cos this is about jobs and businesses - but someone needs to know this: your in-laws are tripping and have ganged up cos they're AFRAID of you, even if you think you are nothing and you have done all you know to make peace. You don't run from a battle that had your name on it before you were born. When Samson and his parents went to Timnah, he (the only lion-killer on the journey) was the one that a lion roared at. And when he passed that place on his way back, he got honey from the thing that tried to kill him when he was minding his business (Judges 14:5 - 9).
Isn't it odd that an agent of the devil will know that they'll fail and still put head, but you - child of God - that know you heard from God who promised you victory, you'll just fold into pieces, start crying like a banshee on steroids and threatening God at the first obstacle? Ask God for strength to look again to discern whatever is in front of you, the way He sees it. And clean your tears so you can see clearly.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV)
If you've seen the end of a thing before it arrives, you cry/pray/crawl/tantrum your way through the middle if that's what it takes. But you stick with God cos how else are you going to get to end He showed or told you about?

DeleteI had two dreams two nights ago.
In the 1st one my friend living outside the country (we don't talk, except chat online once in a while) came to my place of work here in Nigeria, when I saw her I thought she would not come to greet me but to my surprise she came and hugged me from behind and greeted me and we chatted. She even waited for me so we could go home together.
In the 2nd dream I was with my siblings eating and drinking in what looked like our former house. I saw my old neighbor yelling at his two daughters for getting pregnant for their uncles.
Then I and my siblings were in another place not familiar to me and still celebrating one (I think my brother for graduating with a first class) of us with drinks and jokes.
Please what could all these mean?

Consequently, having sex about 3 days to ovulation, could result in a female child since the male cells may have died off before the egg is released...
While having sex on the very day of ovulation could result in a male child since the male cells swim faster... you get the logic?

The training for baking never ends. There are new techniques everyday. There’s no class that they will be able to teach you everything, be prepared to keep doing self training and personal research as you go along and get better. I’ve been baking for about 20years, I still do a lot of research online (plus trial and error on what I learn) and I’m about to take an online course from an Australian instructor!
Also be sure that you love baking before you go into it because if you don’t, when the bad cake days come ( and there will be plenty, even the most seasoned bakers have these!), you will quit because you won’t see any reason to continue.

DeleteIt's really something to be grateful for. My colleague of 37 years old has partial stroke with a bp of 180. Please bvs, always check your bp and don't say nobody in your family has it because things have really changed from what we used to know. I was also lucky to escape having a stroke because didn't know that my bp had risen to 180/132 last year January (nobody in my family has it) and I am relatively young. Since then, I have been an advocate of people checking their bp.
