  2. Happy Sunday my people.
    *****
Please help me look into this matter.
Something happened this morning which has been happening lately though.

There is this woman who is a neighbour, whenever I greet her "Good morning", she replies instantly with a "how are you?"
I didn't even take it seriously until hubby made me realise that she has never opened her mouth to say "Good morning" to us before. Whether she greets first or she is responding to our greetings. She does not return the "Good morning" greetings but immediately replies me with the "how are you"? question. And if she is the one greeting first she doesn't say Good morning but just goes straight to say "how are you"?

Now, if she was asking out of concern maybe he wouldn't even notice it, but she says it so dismissively like a random phrase you throw around because it has been automatically programmed in her system.

So this morning when I and my husband and the children were going to church she did the same thing. My husband said he greeted her when he saw her first and she didn't tell him "Good morning" back, aunty instantly flew to the "how are you"? question. Husband got upset that how would she tell the kids "how are you" and respond to him in the same manner, and he went further by saying, if she had responded to the good morning greeting first then before proceeding to ask him that, he wouldn't have been bothered. So he got angry and told her same thing and said he won't be greeting her again except she greets him PROPERLY. That even if she greets him first it doesn' matter to him again as long as she won't greet him properly, he still wouldn't answer her or acknowledge her. That she is very rude.
I don't like malice ooo. I told him to tell her back the same thing but he said telling her isn't his problem but the fact that she had the boldness to be so rude and stupid. He doesn't make friends with stupid people. He said Good morning is like a prayer you say to someone wishing them a good day ahead and he doesn't understand how someone would take it out of the way and not say it back when someone says it to you.

He said if we were close friends he would have understood because they don't even greet themselves most times before jumping into the conversation and it's done out of love, but she is just a random neighbour and we aren't close so he doesn't understand how she would feel comfortable acting so informal.

Na so we see am ooo🚢‍♂️

    1. Your husband get wahala, gaskia Allah. So if you were living in benin that they just say, moni, what would you have done? Abeg make una free the maleh, looking for trouble where there is none. Dont greet her again then.

    2. Y are you and your husband taking things too personal. There is no need keeping malice. Most times when I greet people I don't even wait for a response. So even if they respond or not, it doesn't matter. Y don't you and your husband cultivate that habit. Just greet to clear your mind, any response given by the other person doesn't matter.
At least she is even responding by saying how are you. Seriously, I don't see a big deal here.
Its either you stop greeting her or just greet without expecting a response. Its a new year, pls don't keep malice with anybody.

    3. I support your husband. One young woman about my age used to reply my greeting with 'how are you' and the way she says it like I'm a child, 'ehee how are you'. One day I changed it for her o. I told her hoo-haa that I didn't like it, the least she could do is say 'good morning' before asking any further question, if she didn't respond properly to my greeting as a sensible person, I'll stop greeting her. She took heed.

    5. Next time if you see her, dont greet her first, allow her to say 'how are you?'
Then reply by saying 'I'm fine, how are you too?'
Keep doing this. Then occasionally, you too can say 'how are you?' To her When you are greeting her first instead of 'good morning'. Watch her reaction.

    6. Her husband is right bikonu! This is Nigeria.
I am sure if they start greeting her same way her brain will reset.
Poster look here, she knows what she is doing so don't be deceived. Even the anons up there telling you your husband is petty won't like it if someone tells them how are you all the time without acknowledging their greetings first especially when it's someone they are really older than.
Flip the script on her and see her correct herself or ignore your husband totally.
Nobody should come here and say in abroad it means nothing when a child tells you how are you? This is naija not obodo oyinbo. There are so many things
the whites are doing but we don't support so why should we pick the ones we are comfortable with instead of acting according to our cultural ways.
It's rude. Since you don't like malice be greeting her but always say how are you to her instead of good morning and watch her reaction. Someone told me how are you too but I realise that the day I said it back was the last time the person spoke to me.

    8. The woman is rude. One woman on my street anytime I greet her ‘goodafternoon ma’ she replies me with ‘goodafternoon ojare’( ojare is a Yoruba word, I’m sure yorubas here will understand). I wasn’t comfortable with that but anytime I see her I still greet her because of my home training also she is older. I’m always the first person to greet her, even if she sees me, she will act like she didn’t until I greet her. There was a day she was passing by and I greeted her, I didn’t even know my husband was close by and he heard her use that ‘ojare’ for me, he told me not to greet her again, that we are both landladies no matter how young I am, that am not her child or her yonger sibling, that she doesn’t have to reply me back using ‘ma’ like other landladies but at least she shouldn’t put ‘ojare’. That she should accord me the same respect she gives him. Since that day I stopped greeting her and she doesn’t greet me too. I dey my dey she dey her dey.

You should have kept greeting her without adding 'ma'
Just throw the 'good afternoon' at her. That is what I did to this woman who is my neighbor. I noticed I was the only person using 'ma' meanwhile we were like agemates. She will just throw the greeting at me if she is greeting me first and she never uses 'ma' for me. I changed it . I stopped adding ma. I just greet her casually. He brain reset. She now respond with 'good morning ma'. Me i did not add ma again o. Even after she started adding ma while greeting me. Let that 'ma' go and sleep, I'm not adding it again. I don't Care whether you add it for me too.

    15. 8:40 You just wants us to know you are not in Nigeria, well we hear you. And how do you know the woman and her husband aren't wealthy? So being outside of Nigeria means being wealthier than those in Nigeria? With that your written English, you are the one who needs "uplifted".

Anyone who doesn't see anything wrong with what that woman did is just being clueless on purpose or just acting ignorantly.
Saying " how are you is how people patronize you in this "NIGERIA" of ours. Outside of the country, whatever! but in this Nigeria, please wake up.

Poster you are being patronized. I would have said otherwise until it happened to me. Whenever I greeted my neighbours ( they are all married with children btw) they respond by saying how are you? Ever since I have been living in the building with them nobody has said anything except how are you to me. So I thought it harmless and felt maybe they are just used to saying that to everyone but I was wrong.

During the public holiday, I was home, so they sat downstairs the building and other neighbours were passing by (whom we all know very well). They greeted these my neighbours, good morning and I was expecting these same people to reply same way they always replied me, but guessed their replies "good morning Ma, good morning Sir, long time Sir/Ma. I cleaned my ears but I kept on hearing them say the same thing to everyone. I didn't even hear how are you?
The only time I heard it and I looked up, guess who I saw, either a teenager, or a child, or someone who wasn't married like me.

So I made up my mind not to jump into conclusions and greet them the same way, after all, I may not be married but we are all within the same age groups. These are all young couples. So I did the same but guess what? I started receiving attitudes and some even stopped talking to me. Now, we aren't as close as before simply because they want to dish it but can't take it.

These histories, sometimes, don’t really matter. The immigration officer may just approve your visa based on his or her review of your applications and what they see fit for approval or rejection.

  7. Day 3 of 7 (It vs What Looks Like It - 1)

And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (Genesis 2:20-24 KJV)

No matter how long you stay around cattle, dogs or birds, they cannot become a spouse to a human being. And if you are unable to tell the difference, you'll get into trouble cos you don't use physical senses to pick divinely ordained spouse. When Adam saw Eve, he mentioned bones first - things that are inside - before he mentioned flesh that was outside.

We don't see "witch", "abuser", "destiny destroyer" or anything like that physically written on anybody's forehead. Yet, these things which are what some people really are can be hidden by smooth skin, posh accent, designer clothes, etc. Many things viewed from outside, can be manipulated by time and circumstance - pregnancy or stress can change thin or fair women, some women wear wigs and weaves, poor men can get fine clothes or finish school when pepper rest, bank manager that approves loan for your business today can get fired tomorrow, etc.

A fine witch is just a witch with a fine face, not a wife. An abuser with "amma wanna ganna" accent is just an abuser that sounds different, not a husband. A pig in a suit is still a pig. Despite the covering of flesh (and I'm guessing hair), Eve was Adam's rib which is why he was able to recognise her before he saw her external. He called the animals their true names, that were already in the mind of God. Loneliness didn't make Adam didn't accidentally or stubbornly pretend to be an animal so that he could name and claim as his, what was not of or for him. Even without testing, he just knew deep down they weren't "it". And when he saw "it", recognition came with relief expressed as, "Ah! There you are!"

A lot of people in divinely ordained marriages will tell you that they felt or even heard a click in the spirit when they RECOGNISED their partner. Cos you can be aligned yet not see, which is why you ignore or categorise them wrongly. God can put husband in front of you, you'll be like, "It's just one guy like that I see from time to time" or wife is who you'll classify as "just one girl that thinks she's fine." The only thing worse than being surrounded by "animals" (cos if care isn't taken, you start acting like them) is not recognising your "it" when s/he is placed before you.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Day 3 of 7 Cont'd (It vs What Looks Like It - 2)

Being placed before you doesn't in itself make them "it". Animals were in front of Adam for a longer time than Eve was. So, don't let anyone bully you into marriage, claiming they heard what you know you didn't hear. Some people are vampires looking for who to destroy - they can see something in you that you may not even be aware of, and the next thing you'll hear is "God said". There are things God just doesn't do, so there are animals even hearing 'god' about folk who are married. Whatever is not your "it" might as well be an animal to you. If you have to suffer humiliation or be degraded, drastically amend your behaviour to please or be accepted/loved, or excuse anything with "Everybody is doing it" - you've started behaving like an animal. Plus there's nothing in this world that everybody is doing.

Experiences will vary from one person to another cos not everyone will recognise their "it" immediately. But recognition will usually have nothing to do with the physical cos it's actually spirit recognising and acknowledging spirit. The day I truly saw my husband, I was amazed as he was in a package that I never imagined he would arrive in. I assumed he'd be much taller and much darker. Maybe God does this for aesthetics, His amusement or to see if you can discern through a covering, but it's rare for a divinely ordained spouse to arrive exactly how you assumed they would. And they will be covered - He didn't present Eve in rib form. If all that you or a suitor can see is the covering (looks, job, bank account balance, family name or pedigree, connections, etc), something is very wrong and you're about to marry the wrong person.

      Prayer point (@ noon & @11pm)
      1) Father God, cause me and the spouse You have ordained for me, to be sensitive and able to recognise each other in Jesus' Name.

      Scriptures to meditate on:
      - Genesis 2: 23 - 24
      - Proverbs 18:22
      - Romans 8:14

      Delete
    2. PS:
      1) Ejoo, do NOT mention the name of anyone you're already dating or crushing on, in this prayer. Do NOT summon anybody's spirit or bind their soul, no matter what. I don't even understand why anyone would think it's OK; it's really not and will backfire. With these prayers, you're not supposed to be trying to waste your time or manipulate anybody's will via witchcraft. If the wo/man you're already in a relationship with is your divinely ordained spouse, it's just a matter of time before they realise.

      2) Fast to break at 12 NOON in your timezone with crackers and water YOU BLESS by yourself to be used as communion. Those on prescribed medication, please eat and take your medicine at the time your doctor told you to. Stay focused, pray the prayer at the mentioned times in your timezone, read & meditate on the given Scriptures today, and take communion @ noon.

      3) If you've had any odd or scary dreams since you started the fast/prayers and you're bothered cos you don't know the meaning, feel free to post below but in anonymous mode.

      4) You're not to be on this programme if you're a side whatever helping a married wo/man commit adultery, fornicating, determined to keep defending your involvement in New Age, actively doing juju, a terrible in-law to the wife of your brother/cousin/son (or standing in the gap for someone who is), holding onto a "Saul", or not bornagain and don't want to be.

      5) Any questions about today's fast, issues covered in the main post, or anything that may have happened since you started the fast, please leave them below.

      6) I didn't tell you to call any suitor or woman an animal just because you've discerned they're not your "it" - especially to their faces. I hear bruises and broken bones can be very distracting so it'll probably be preferable for all involved if you haven't been beaten to a pulp or worse, when your divinely ordained spouse finally sees you.

    11. Anon 9:09/10:54 We're on Day 3 of a 7-day fasting and prayer programme for single men and ladies aged 35 and above, who are looking to be connected to and get married to their divinely ordained spouse.

Wo/men are everywhere, but not every wo/man is a wife/husband, and not every wife/husband is your own. It's like going to the market and seeing blue jeans trousers of different styles and sizes, and picking any cos "jeans is jeans" aka wo/man na wo/man.

If you have access to the owner of the jeans label who already has your exact measurement and they tell you to wait for the one they're sending you - will you say, "Ah but what's wrong with the jeans in the market? Shebi people with only one head each, are buying from there. Some find their fit, some manage what they see"? If pepper rest, will you see couture wedding gown and buy off-the-rack? Imagine that your biological father or godfather is a well-known designer and you show up to your own wedding in an obviously second-hand dress?

That you get what you arranged for yourself, doesn't mean God had anything to do with it. That's why people envy armed robbers, etc. Can you succeed without following God's Plan? It's entirely possible. But it just won't be the same as the one God gave you. I dated before my husband; even dated a "Saul" that nearly scattered my life. It's not like I slept with any of them and I won't say I didn't love them, but love found me with my husband. What God gives you will always be different from what you arrange for yourself - cos God MUST have a witness for Himself.

It's not as if everyone who married as a virgin has a happy marriage or won't have challenges or will go to heaven, or vice versa. However, is it because of sex that God says you should hold on first, that you will blatantly disobey God and risk ending up with who you weren't supposed to be with? What are you so afraid will happen if you truly wait on God like He asks?

  10. YOU ARE BEING DEEPLY ROOTED

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving” Colossians 2:6-7, NKJV.

Even though we are rooted and grounded in our knowledge of the Lord, the enemy stops at nothing to try to uproot us. He quickly finds, however, that it is not an easy task. Deep down there are things that we know. Deep down we know there is a God and that He loves us. Deep down we know that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Deep down we know that He has chosen us for His divine purposes and plans. Deep down we know that we are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus and have been made new. This is what being rooted and grounded means—holding on with everything we have to what we know deep down.

It doesn’t matter what the enemy is trying to do, all that matters is what Jesus has already done on the cross!

Declare this from your heart today: “I will not uproot and I will not give up! I will hold on and become even more rooted and grounded, and fully convinced of the Father’s love. I will let His Word permeate my heart and soul to the very core of who I am. The enemy will not be able to win in my life. Through Jesus Christ, I am victorious! I am an overcomer! I am a champion! My Father is greater than anything I will ever face in this life and with His help I can do all things!”

Bearer was later rushed to the hospital where doctors reattached his manhood. and on the wedding night, on December 30,2019 the rapper confirmed that it was functional."
    The Cable

If this Bearer guy was in the zoo, he wouldn't have stood a chance of remaining alive not to talk of having his dick function again. He had a second chance because he's lucky enough to be part of a system run by human beings. This is a new year. There should be a new beginning. I hope you're making intentional plans to exit the zoo. Any day I have the time and motivation, I'll drop exit strategies here because there are people that want to leave, but do not know how to go about it.
You don't know what you're missing by being permanently resident in Nigeria. Don't allow your kids or future kids face the same zoological situation you've faced. Change their history.
I wish you a very productive year.

    1. Congrats
Drink plenty hot liquid like tea(bournvita, milo,) drink watery pap and milk, plenty water, fruits and vegetables. Above all, eat well.
You can give your baby the age appropriate formula.

    2. Enter your reply...congratulations to you and your family, thank God for u.
To boost breastmilk, take pap, groundnuts, milk, rice and peppersoup/mmiri uda(if u are Igbo) etc.
Yes, your baby can take formula whilst u ensure u stimulate breastmilk with him several times a day till it starts flowing well. my own breastmilk wasn't flowing well too after delivery, so I used formula because the baby doesn't have to be hungry because breastmilk isn't flowing well yet but if u plan on doing exclusive breastfeeding, u note when to begin with strictly breastmilk.
As for me,breastmilk isn't enough for my baby so its a lil dawa with formula and breastmilk.

    6. it happened to me when I had my first baby. I didn't know my baby wasn't getting enough breast milk, i noticed baby was getting thin. Then my aunt found out and gave me palm wine. She also told me to use hot water and massage my breasts and chest surroundings and apply Robb. Then wear thick clothes. I did this and breast milk became surplus. I was also drinking plenty hot liquid.

    7. 9:22 you reminded me of a friend who took alcohol or was it dry gin for a flat stomach after delivery and the baby started acting like what we don't know. She had to take the child to the hospital after getting it through breast milk.

    There at the start
    Before the beginning of time
    With no point of reference
    You spoke to the dark
And fleshed out the wonder of light

    And as You speak
A hundred billion galaxies are born
In the vapour of Your breath the planets form
If the stars were made to worship so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made
    Every burning star
    A signal fire of grace
If creation sings Your praises so will I 🎢🎢

I also do not believe in using the terms good morning or good afternoon or good evening...i say whats up?i say it all the time or i say hi sometimes, infact i also say HEY!....its nothing as long as some form of greetings are exchanged....see as you and your hubby carry greeting matter for head..na wah oh.....

You drive out & theres no traffic cus a neighbour said Good morning to you.. its all just courtsey my dear, all i hear people say in this country is "Hi" "Hey whatsup"..... with genuine smiles, then off ur way! Nigerian mentality is just backward, everything is a problem all of a sudden, ur husband own tire me pass, to the xtent of keepin malice, tueh.

    3. Stella you dey Germany so your ways different ke. Even myself when I travelled abroad I adjust myself that even a two-year-old will say it and I won't bat an eyelid but when I come back to Nigeria, we do it our style because we know what's up. In Nigeria it is not a greeting.
It will surprise you that I once said hello to a white woman and she looked me and said "next time say good morning" πŸ˜²πŸ˜‚. While some don't care some dey vex ooπŸ˜….
But you read the reaction of those who said it first and it was said back to them and how they stopped interacting with those they said it too. That should tell you something.

    4. Stella, some mentality in Nigeria is still In the stone age, that's why they can't progress outside the shores of Nigeria . I introduced A new arrival who stays with me to my boss,we stay in alberta, he greeted the boss and boss replied, "howzit going dude?" Just to make him comfy n relaxed, he just frowned and said are we mates? Are you my father? N started speaking plenty Yoruba, I was embarrassed to the core, boss got red in the face and apologised, later I had to go explain why the new arrival reacted that way, he just said I shouldn't bring him in that he's too Bush, I had to agree.

    5. Stella I disagree with you. Don’t like hey as a greeting. What doesn’t bother you might bother another person, we have to acknowledge and respect that. Don’t disregard anyone’s feelings about things. One man’s meat

      Delete
    6. Some mentality in Nigeria is in old age you say? You better respect your culture. We don't have to take on the whites ways of doing virtually everything to show we are exposed. We should retain some things. Even when I went to Cyprus I was told that there is a way you interact with someone older which is different with how you talk to someone younger. Even in their language they have vowels used for an adult and that used for someone younger. Just like yorubas have e" and o" in their language. There are some countries you don't go there and say What's up to someone older else you receive knock on your head It's a cultural thing. If you really want to come out of your stone age then accept all their ways and stop picking the one's you like.

    7. Greetings here are Hi,how are you?Hey,you good?Hi,You alright?for me nothing is wrong with How are you

    8. Greeting appropriately is at the core of our culture plsssss! So if you are now abroad and wish to imbibe their way of greeting that is your problem. I am abroad and have been for the past 12 years and I still greet 'good morning' and I keep trying to make my kids say it to others as often as they can. It is a culture I totally agree with.

Saying 'how are you' to someone without first responding to their greeting is derogatory and rude. Poster's hubby is very right. Stella don't condemn another's values.

    11. I wanted to agree with the husband about not thinking how are you is appropriate but reading other comments, anybody can greet how they want please. If you feel not greeting all together makes you sleep well at night, fine stop greeting. There are kids that come around my work place and they greet "hello aunty, hello uncle" will you say they have not greeted? Culture you say, who created culture? I know at my work place there are people I don't mix with and they greet me when they are not in company of their coven mistresses 🀭 When they say good morning, afternoon or evening, I respond with hello or hi. That's me being petty. That's me not wishing them a good or bad day. Abeg you all do you. It's not a big deal if you ask me.

    12. We are defined by our cultures and environment. When in Rome, pls behave like the Romans.
In Nigeria, the standard greeting in English for the most part is Good morning. Tribes have their standard greetings as well. It won’t take anything to appreciate and adhere to them.
In some countries, evidence of being polite is when you plaster a smile on your face, even without saying a thing, even for people you pass by on the road! I could see it’s culture for them, and I had to try and plaster a smile on my face in return, so they don’t feel I am rude or a snob. Nobody expects this ‘smile’ in Nigeria - different cultures.
As for this ‘how are you’ issue, I feel maybe the woman is very senior to the poster. I get this response sometimes only from people who are much older. Personally, I think you can overlook it if she is much older than you. If not, you could ask her why she only greets you that way. If she is your peer, she should respond appropriately or you give her her ‘how are you’ back.

However, I try not to dwell on it for too long.Much as I understand both sides of the argument, I will admonish that we live light in this decade and not to take most things to heart, trust me you will be happier and may even live longer! Life is damn too short for such pettiness. Really.my two cents.
