“They were looking to blow up our embassy. We caught a total monster”, Trump told reporters at the White House.
He said Soleimani, who commanded Iran special operations forces and Iranian allied militias in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon “had more than that particular embassy in mind”.
Trump added that he didn’t want to go to Congress for more authorization because “you have to make split second decisions”.

His story has changed several times. Sometimes, it’s good to exercise some restraint. Look at the result of his decision. The bad guy got killed, together with lots of other people in several other vehicles. Even those who made it out of those vehicles were killed as they ran for their lives. The saddest part of this whole thing is, the innocent 176 people that perished in the Ukrainian airplane that Iran shot down all in the name of avenging one death. May God help us not to be in a wrong airspace at the wrong time.

ReplyDeleteInternational politics is shrouded in so much opaqueness. The US looked away when Jamal Khashoggi was brutally murdered in sheer wanton malevolence in Turkey. And they are the major suppliers of arms to Saudi, who's prosecuting war in Yemen. Because of Jamal Khashoggi, the US couldn't sanction Saudi just because of one man and their arm supply deals. What an ironic situation!
God Bless you. First, he stated the General was killed because he killed an American Contractor. Yet, Khashoggi was a Citizen too. He is responsible for all those lives lost on board that flight. If he didn’t kill the General, Iran would not have retaliated with those missiles either.
