DeleteSo Perxian why can’t his son resign/sell his shares in the company? Why can’t he remove himself from the company? After all, the Bible didn’t say if your hands are causing you to sin burn down your neighbors farm. By your logic if my neighbors new car is entering my eyes I should burn it down right? Or if my friends dress is making me want it I should take my scissors and cut it up?
Wouldn’t it be better if I can get on my knees and tell God to help me remove the spirit of coveteousness and lust from my system? That way the number of cars I see or nice dresses around me will not even make me flinch.

ReplyDeleteI feel like on the one hand, people should be able to have self control and establish boundaries especially as it concerns male and female.
On the other hand, we are human and self control is just not enough in some situations, we have to physically separate ourselves from any source of temptation before emotional separation can come. Jesus said to cut off any part of ones body that causes them to sin
I know that I will do everything I can to separate myself from whatever will threaten my marriage even if it means transferring a source of temptation to another department or office location or asking for same transfer for myself. It’s not today that we started hearing of men leaving their wives for secretaries.
Adeboye also said previously that he no longer employs female secretaries and I totally see reason.

DeleteI agree with you. Seems a heavy blow to the lady in question as she is been punished just for being a woman but, it’s a balancing act here - can’t ever be easy.
But a more lasting solution would be working on his self control, that is more reliable as the women he would see are not necessarily those he would have that kind of power over.

I like that those clapping for Adeboye are women so when the same happens to them, they won't complain. Why can't the excited son resign from the job to save his marriage or close down the company? If it was in civil service where he can't for an innocent woman doing her job, won't he resign? Does cheating an innocent woman of her job and pay delete her social media accounts or her phone number? Would this make her colleagues and your mutual acquintances not bring her up in discussion or invite her for functions? This is the same lame excuse Islam uses to keep women stuck in nylon bags in the name of modesty- punishing women for the sin of existing. Deleteif i support him that means i would have been sacked by now, cos our CEO was asking me out; his wife got to know. she came to the office to harras me. i educated her very well that i cant date or marry a married man if he is not Dangote and she left. i wrote resignation letter and he signed that the letter is not approved. Since 2013 till down the woman has not been to office. She asked the husband to sack me, but the man told her i did nothing wrong. She is not even aware that the money she is eating we make it for them. i still work there married with 2kids.

The mom went to the head office, returned the gifts and politely let the boss know her daughter did not need the gifts and he should not bother giving her anymore.
