Nigerian Man Allegedly Hacks US Immigration Website And Gives Family And Friends Permanent Citizenship

Nigerian man with unbelievable skills Abaeze Atuche has done the Impossible and has been arrested for it..

He allegedly hacked the website of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Atuche allegedly gave all members of his family and 15 of his friends permanent American citizenship.

No details yet as to how he pulled it off but insiders described his skills as unbelievable.

“The US government online network is impregnable but this guy proved it otherwise. If he was not arrested I don’t think there was ever going to be an investigation on how his family members got their citizenship,” a source was quoted as saying.

Atuche who is 29 years old started hacking when he was 24 years old.

He allegedly entered the US using a fake American passport in 2013 and never left. By 2016, his big family and 15 of his Nigerian friends became permanent US citizens.

The American government is reportedly in the process of deporting all 33 people who got their citizenship as a result of Atuche’s hack...

*Hmmmmm I am sure if he is jailed, they will employ his services from jail...America will never let someone like this go,he will end up working for them!

    5. This guy is a genius. He committed a crime but it doesn't change the fact that he's a genius. It takes someone with a high level of intelligence to do what he did. The US government might end up employing him. He'll be useful in the FBI.

    6. He could have used his hacking skills to get a genuine job in the US. Companies and even govt pay handsomely for hackers.

    8. The story should be taken with a grain of salt for the following reasons:

The process to grant US permanent residence and citizenship is deliberate and rigorous. The systems of internal control make it highly unlikely for hackers or insiders to fraudulently grant these immigration benefits without detection within days or weeks. In order to obtain permanent residence or citizenship, it involves on-site fingerprinting and photography, FBI criminal vetting, civic testing and interview as well as supervisory reviews of applicants' digital information and hard copies of documentation. Additionally, job roles and responsibilities are designed to prevent a single individual from having complete control over the entire application process, and computers are also set up to restrict access rights for users, accounts, and computing processes to authorized users who are allowed to only legitimately view, add or/and delete information as per their job requirements (this is called "least privileged" access control). Speaking from the vintage point of a credentialed professional with expertise in cybersecurity, fraud examination, IT management and internal control, it's not impossible to hack into any computer system. But it is difficult - if not impossible - for hackers or insiders to bypass the above mentioned controls in order to fraudulently grant immigration benefits and go undetected for days or even weeks.

Furthermore, no US media outlet of repute has reported the story. Even if they didn't, the sheer gravity of the information systems breach and the current US administration's stance towards legal and illegal immigration would have invited an avalanche of presidential tweets.

For the reasons set forth, it is my strong belief that the story is grossly misleading, moronically mendacious and egregiously fabricated.

      Naija no dey carry last!

    9. This should be a SIR statue from me I really love ,respect and enjoy your analysis .it takes some individuals to just read a story from hear and comment without deeply investigating or digesting it properly. All they wanna read is A Nigerian does that A Nigerian does that. So there wouldn't be a single intelligent individual who will know the consiquence of his action had it been true. So it will take 33 individuals to be dumb ass like him too. I doubt it a true story based on your analysis on the process on ground too.He can even enter the US with a doctored US int passport and not a fake one lol.

    10. Long story cut short, you're a bit knowledgeable in information security but doesn't sound wise in your posit. Hope you weren't just trained by NIIT and you remained clouded by the outdated books and techniques you got trained with?
Things are happening and I only advise you do a documentary search on how identities could be duplicated.
I'm not an IT expert but I've seen things work. Many no longer need any school to know what they wanna know these days.

Yeah Stella you're right they will retain him and he might end up becoming useful to them unlike Nigerian government that will not know what to do with him..not justifying his wrong doing though

    1. The story is not true. Hackers or employees can't view, add and/or delete computer records without detection. It's a multifaceted process to obtain US residence and citizenship. Because there is segregation of duties involved in the application process, and there are checks and balances in the manual processing and computing processes that make collusion among individuals and circumvention of computer access control impossible. The purported breach of US government computers is simply false. Please read my post of 12 December 2019 at 22.51 for more information about the application process.

  10. The guy is made abeg. I love how Americans will end using his skills to improve their systems, though he may serve some time in jail.

They guy loves his family and friends sha. Pity it was via the wrong means

  11. I respect this guy for one thing; He pulled this unimaginable feat for the love of his family and of course friends. He could have used his hacking dexterity to defraud for money but he never did, rather he used it to give them permanent citizenship. Though some might still consider this fraud but I doubt if the US will see it this way because he is not going to be jailed. The US that I know will tap from this raw skills and would probably work for them.

  13. I find this very difficult to believe. We are talking about the US of A. Will be almost impossible for such to go undetected over years. And if true, he will go to jail. Ain't no CIA employing him, forget what you see in movies. Even a juvenile record can stain your chances of employment for life. Pls Let's not glamourize crime. It reflects badly on us. And it affects us all. Negatively.
