EFCC Reportedly Recovered Over N100 Million From 9 Ex-Public Officers

Nine public officers have so far forfeited over 100 Million naira to the Federal Government in its anti-corruption fight....





The former public officers who had their funds or assets forfeited to the government include; former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke; former first lady, Patience Jonathan; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, his wife, daughter and aide.


Others are; former Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita (through a suspect linked to her); former governor of Taraba State, Jolly Nyame, former Group Managing Director of NNPC, Engineer Andrew Yakubu; former Managing Director of Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), Haruna Momoh and his wife, Ochuko Okor and former chairman of Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Nigeria’s two key anti-corruption agencies, have always emphasized on the recovery of stolen assets as key in the fight against corruption and will keep doing their best to recover more.

      their "atrocities" while there. They are liabilities to APC and only ran
      there when EFCC came close to hunt political adversaries of the government in
      "fower"

  6. Wow!! I did not realize Ochuko Okor, was married to that Momoh guy. We all grew up in PH and attended same High School.
    So. All the money we used to hear about all amounted to 100 million?? Na wa o!! I thought only Madam Allison’s Jewelry’s were about 40 million.
    What are they doing with the money recovered? How about the APC looters??
    All we know is, they should put this money to good use.
    Even if Na hospital dem build. Someone will turn around and steal this one too. Sometimes, l wish Nigeria, was China. All these thieves would have been gone.
