ASUU national president, Biodun Ogunyemi, declared this on Wednesday after a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held at the Federal University of Technology, Minna
This was disclosed in a series of post on ASUU’s official Twitter handle.
The post read: “Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on a nationwide strike if the federal government makes any attempt to stop salaries of their members over Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).
“ASUU national president, Biodun Ogunyemi, who declared this yesterday, after a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held at the Federal University of Technology, Minna from 7th-8th, December, 2019, said the union shall activate its standing resolution of “No pay, No Work.”
“He noted that the union is shocked that the OAGF said IPPIS is meant to comply with global best practices when they cannot tell Nigerians or any other country where IPPIS is extended to the universities as one of the best practices.”

DeleteNa their way.. ASUU Strike pass thunder!
ReplyDeleteYeye people.
ASUU and its show of shame always.
ReplyDeleteIt beats me how people who claim to be intellectuals behave like touts.
A method of incessant strike you've employed since the era of military regimes and
it never worked is the cycle that you
repeat every year?😮😮😮😮
Okwa ajuju oo
Can someone tell me any other African
country where their college academic staff go on strike like in Nigeria?
The Nigerian certificates have become tissue paper outside, even inside the country.
Back in the 70s, a UI or UNN graduate
could easily walk into employment in
any part of the globe with his certificate. And who told them that
Buhari cares? Did they not see her
daughters graduation pictures in Photography
from a UK university yesterday?
What a shame!
😵😵😵😵😵
Strike everywhere
ReplyDeleteThe IPPIS should not be taken as excuse to delay their salary. I am with ASUU on this, Federal Government always looking for excuse to delay salaries.
ReplyDeletethe devil is a liar, we shall overcome
ReplyDeletewe're begging in God's name please and please not again..enough of the delay
ReplyDeleteTheir children school abroad so they don't care if ASUU embark on strike or not
ReplyDeleteNa wa! Everybody should just go on strike na
