Saturday Breakfast Post

Breakfast time!!!!
I am having Rice and Ofada sauce or is it Ofada rice and sauce.......







Actually,I am having peppermint tea,omelet and brown bread with assorted fruits and Muesli for Breakfast oh.............The ofada rice and sauce is in my Imagination...lol

  2. Not had breakfast yet. In the hospital with my baby gurl on admission. Should be having fried plantain and egg later. Would be drinking my lipton tea without sugar or milk to help balance out the grease.

  10. Recipe for ofada sauce.

    Tatashe
    Green pepper
    Shombo(chili pepper)
    Fresh pepper (ata rodo)
    Onions
    Blended crayfish
    Palm oil
    Salt
    Bullion cubes
    Meat (shaki,beef,ponmo,roundabout,etc)

    Procedure:
    Cut your meat into small bits and boil with salt and bullion cubes till tender.

    Blend the green pepper,shombo,tatashe,fresh pepper and onion.(it shouldn't be a fine blend)

    Pour palm oil (do not be selfish with the palm oil) in a dry pot and bleach for about 10-15 minutes (the secret of ofada is to bleach your palm oil properly)

    Fry the cooked meat in the bleached oil and set aside.

    Sauté the onions in the bleached palm oil.

    Add the ground crayfish and fry till it is gritty.

    Add the blended peppers and allow to fry...till there is no more liquid.

    Add the fried meat and also the meat stock, cover and allow it to boil.

    Add salt and more seasoning.
