Pastor Tony Rapu Says The Bible Is Silent On Cosmetic Surgery

Popular pastor, Tony Rapu who is well known for his work with helping those struggling with drug addiction and taking the youths off the streets has said that the Bible is not against plastic surgery.

In a video on his Instagram page, he said there is really nothing in the Bible to show us that it is wrong to do cosmetic surgery.....

He noted that if someone is very conscious of a deformity in any area of their body and it is causing them emotional discomfort, then plastic surgery is an option.

He cited an example of women who have had mastectomies and used breast implants to cover up their surgeries.

He stated that if the surgery is non-invasive and the side effects minimal, then there is nothing wrong with going for it, if it makes you breathe better, talk and walk better and one's psychological health and quality of life is improved.

The challenge is if person is trying to fill deep seated insecurities with surgery to seek approval from other people and to be found sexually attractive by other people.....

  4. He is absolutely right.

Most of these talks against plastic surgeries are mostly born of hate, envy and jealousy.

Do you and let the world keep talking.
So long as you are not harming your self or others.

    5. Mumu, you should use your sense, you are the gullible ones that follow fake men of God to change the Bible quote to suit their desires. People will stuff silicon on their boobs to look attractive, you tell me it is OK. You have not heard of people dying of Cosmetic surgeries?. If he had said it should be allowed for corrective surgeries only, it would have been more Honorable than hyping nonsense.

    6. Does it mean Caesarean sections are forbidden? You do know they are done to save lives. Please think before you quote the Bible blindly.

  8. But why should someone endanger herself to look a particular way.
The Scripture says "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made..."Psalms 139:14
"Everything is permissible but not all things are beneficial..." 1 Cor.10:23
Someone then goes under the knife to insert a silicon filled balloon into her chest and
with the risks of it bursting and sending her to early eternity which may not be "eternal life?"
Another goes under the knife to do liposuction which can embolize to the brain and heart and end
her life instantly? Is that lady going to blame God for not fulfilling the number of her years?
Is it God's will for any to die young? Did her not say that our offspring shall not die young? Isaiah 65:23
And we forget that this lady will be going under the knife from time to time to re-do the surgery?
And if she cannot afford it, isn't it a temptation to sell her body and degrade herself and sin against her creator?
Let me ask another question, how many of us ladies can give God the exact amount of money that a liposunction or
    breast silicon implant cost?
Don't you see that you love yourself more than your creator, and isn't that idolatry?
Okay, the "bible did not say anything about cocaine, let us sniff it; right?"
The "bible did not say anything about heroine, let us inject; right?"😮😮😮😮
The bible did not say anything about methamphetamine, make we wak am right?
Okwa my ajujus be that o 😉😉😉

  12. The Bible is also silent on a whole lot of things like Oral sex, airplanes and cars. Is it God didn’t know about these things then? The Bible
    May need updates

  13. If the Bible is silent on something and your authority is the Bible, then you should also be silent on it.

  14. Well the only problem is that most f these surgeries are invasive and could bring it's own complications, reason why you will always need to sign a consent form before undergoing one.
As for Me, I'm of the opinion that if the benefit outweighs the risk, then you can make that choice.
In all, it's a decision where the bearer has to be fully prepared to bear whatever comes with it.
