The exercise led to the total shutdown of land frontiers across the country.
The land borders are expected to be reopened on January 31, 2020.
This was revealed in a circular dated November 1, 2019 (NCS/ENF/ABJ/221/S.45) and signed by the Comptroller of Customs in charge of enforcement, Victor David Dimka, to the Sector Coordinators, joint border operations drill (Exercise Swift Response), Sectors 1, 2, 3 & 4,
The Customs boss directed them to note the new development and comply accordingly
On August 20, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali, announced the commencement of “Exercise Swift Response” to sanitise the land borders against smuggling.

Everything is so expensive. So many daily needs are affected in this border closure. God have mercy on the masses.
ReplyDeleteTo think that these people still patronise foreign goods. Especially this moron of a president that can't do without foreign medical treatment.
Look at you insulting someone's father and grandfather, is only God that will punish you, idiot.

ReplyDeleteBuy made in nigeria, eat made in Nigeria, wear made in Nigeria and your dear president recently left for UK fot medical check up. BTW, I hear the borders in the north aren't completely closed.
ReplyDeleteYou can't fool a people all the time...
DeleteOf course we all know the Northern borders are not completely closed, just closed on paper. God go punish Buhari
DeleteThe worst government ever! Do as I say but not as I do. Tufiakwa
ReplyDeleteClose the borders during the festive Period and open after the festive period. Our president is really a president of the North.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm so sad
DeleteI don't know why is it that God hears prayers on daily basis, but for this man to go is very difficult. You are closing boarders but you are outside the country receiving their services. it is well. He wants more people to commit suicide before he leaves office. Is he aware the number of businesses he has crumbled?. I have never seen a Government without conscience. Apart from rice, there are a number of businesses people do across boarders.
ReplyDeleteI will continue eating foreign rice, I can not be eating stone because I want to eat Nigeria rice they should learn how foreigners make stone free rice and put all the necessary equipment s in place before closing the border.
