BBNaija Star Khafi Set To Return To Her Job As A MET Police Officer In The UK

Big brother Naija star Khafi Kareem is set to return to her MET Police officer Job in the UK after taking part in Big brother naija reality show which ended recently..

In an interview with The Mirror, on if she would be returning back to work as an officer, she stated, “Work have been really great, we’ve been speaking and communicating, they asked me when I’d be coming back to work''.

The reality star who received public backlash from her superiors for allegedly sleeping with a fellow housemate denied the accusation .

When asked the exact date she would resume work, she said “I’m not sure when I’m going to go back yet - I want to get back as soon as possible, I’m passionate about keeping London safer.”

Kareem, 29, had appeared publicity pictures alongside Met Commissioner Cressida Dick celebrating female recruitment.
But she caused outrage among senior officers by appearing on the African version of the reality TV show without permission.

Following her entry into the the house in June this year, the Met issued a bruising statement confirming Kareem has asked for permission to appear on the show but was denied and that she had chosen to accept a place in the house 'without authority'

A pal of Kareem said that she was sorry for the embarrassment caused to the force but hoped that going in the house would show that police officers are “real people”.
The friend said: “Khafi cares deeply about her job and her community and the last thing she would have wanted was to cause embarrassment for her colleagues.Police officers are real people too, they can’t help where or when they fall in love. She’s in a happy relationship now and she just wants to get back to doing what she loves best, serving her community.”

Naija no be beans especially is you aren’t certain of what you want to do. My Fear for them is to fail and it seems they are being dragged left right and centre. Man no know that celebrity life hard! Go back to London then come in quarterly to check things out before full migration. People dey deceive the aiirey’s o!

    4. Celeb life here is terrible, the things they do just to remain relevant is too much. The fake it till you make in lifestyle is another thing entirely.
Most of them cannot even pay their rents, always begging for money from one big God while the others are owing rent.
The amount of men they sleep with in one month just to keep up appearances.
The amount fuckboy celebs in Nigeria alone.
Khafi run back and quickly before you close your eyes and next thing you know - you're a celeb olosho sleeping with 4-5 men just to pay rent and be popular on DSTV and IG.

  3. She smartly secured a 3 months unpaid leave when they didn't give her the permission to go on the show.
Whatever she did during her leave is her personal business.

    1. She actually said that she left London for good. Nigeria is very hard to survive in.

  10. She has a reasonable salary, a pension and other benefits. By this time in a couple of years, several sets of BBN would have flooded the place. Fame is very transient.

Not to mention what people have to do to stay in the limelight in Nigeria. Why give up stability for all that?

  11. Leave your job to come and be doing what here? Hustling to be a brand ambassador? Abeg o. This is the best decision Khafi. I am so happy for you. Best of luck dearie. God be with you.

She can even work part-time in the force and still use this her 5mins of fame. But after that 5mins is over....reality sets in.
Let her weigh her options. But my dear DON'T drop that resignation letter o. MET salary may not be grand, but it's certain with job benefits and security....unlike all these audio celebrity life here. Naija presently is HARD.

  12. Good decision, her salary is nothing less than £35,000 per annum. That's huge compared to whatever she can get in Nigeria. She is a Police Constable now, soon she will be promoted. She made the best decision. Gedoni keep shooting your shot make you become Britico if you marry her.

    3. Because there is no money in Nigeria celebrity life so it is better for her to go back than to be a Nigeria celebrity ashewo suffering and smiling.

    4. Don't mind all these people carrying fake gist up and down. She's not returning to the U.K anytime soon as she is entitled to leave of absence for a period. They shoukd stop spoiling her market and allow the girl settle in properly and if she sees it's not worth staying in Nigeria she can return but atleast let her give it a try first.

  19. What about all the actors and actresses that moved to Nigeria from abroad, are they not making money?
My sister's friend said that is it only the ones that have nothing doing abroad that run back to Naija to hustle.

  20. She was asked to return back to work so they can carry out investigations into what happened - not because they are welcoming her with open arms.
i suspect they will dismiss her. she was told she cannot appear on the show (most probably cause of concerns she will bring the met into disrepute) and she defiantly took 3 months unpaid leave and went on the show. it was on all the major news outlets in the uk and the met were embarrassed by her actions.
Even though she wasnt being paid she was still an employee and her actions brought the force into disrepute. i suspect the met are following procedure and want to dismiss her in accordance with uk employment law, which means inviting her to an investigation meeting to discuss what happened, and then another meeting to decide if they are going to dismiss her. They have to follow this type of process to avoid unfair dismissal complaint.
she may decide to resign before that happens though, let's see.

    1. Anonymous 13.10,you wrote it all the way it truly works here in the UK and possibly you live here in the UK too.. the Caucasians? They will still dismiss her but will first give a soft landing of letting the person report back to work, set up a panel and drop the sledge hammer if not the person can sur them at the Employment tribunal for victimization and unfair diamissal and will make millions.. we live with them here and we know then.. Khaffi knows them well too

    2. Please stop with the lies. She has been at work and has sorted whatever issues she has.You come online and type as if you're her employer or you sat at the panel.Keypad warriors.

    3. Anon 13.10 - you know your people well. Khafi has no job in the met, all is just a formal way of dismissing her and nothing more.
Better she remains in Nigeria and hustles.
